Just picked up our old 2001 pickup truck. Had it towed in over the weekend. We had no appt, but left the key and a note in thr drop box. They diagnosed the issue, called with the price, we ok'd it. They called back a couple of hours later, and it's working great. Price was more than fair, and we were pleasantly surprised they were able to get it done today. We will not use anyone else for auto repairs. These guys are honest, and very good! read more

If you want to take your vehicle to an automotive repair shop that will let it set for weeks without looking at it, then when ask why they cry the same old tired excuse of we're short staffed, and if like dealing with rude service advisors with bad attitudes that give you smart ass answers when you ask simple questions about your vehicle, then this is the place for you!! Plus they badly misdiagnosed the alignment issue on my 1997 Chevy Tahoe 4X4. Said the power steering gear box and pitman arm need to be replaced and those items had just been replaced right at a year ago. All it really needed was the washer and nut that attaches the pitman arm to the power steering gear box and for the splines to be cleaned up and everything put back together and tightened back up. I guess they thought I was stupid and they could rip me off by turning what should have been a $200 repair into an $800+ repair. WTF!!! If you want your vehicle looked at within a few days instead of a few weeks, and want it diagnosed correctly and want to deal with professional and friendly service advisors and not be ripped off for repairs that are not needed, the go to Pit Stop Plus/Alray Tire here in Denver and avoid this place like the plague!! read more

New to the area, my car started shaking one day and then my interior door wouldn't open; my family referred me to these guys. I spoke with Cory and from the jump he was very kind, honest and helpful. I explained my situation, and how my vehicle that needed work is my only mode of transportation currently. I was given a fair timeframe of when they would be able to get my car done by. I live about a mile and a half down the road from the shop, and was going to walk home. To my surprise, Tim stopped me in the parking lot (as they were concerned for my safety walking along the highway), and Cory gave me a ride home AND when my car was done, he came and got me from my house! They looked my car over and found a couple of additional things that needed to be done to it, they called me to let me know and gave me the options vs assuming and just doing. Not to bring THIS aspect up but it can be a reality sometimes: as a woman who's not well versed in the car repair world, it can be easy to be taken advantage of. Not here however, I felt beyond taken care of, educated and respected by these guys! Cars are expensive, but I was happily surprised at my total by the end of it all. Well, 2 weeks ago I called to set up an appointment with Cory to get my spark plugs changes and a tuneup. He said okay and this morning at 7am I left my car, my husband took me to work, I called hwy 16 around noon to check on the progress. After asking how my progress was going and if it would be ready by 1pm, Tommy the manager said no way...we have 12 cars in front of you, maybe by tomorrow. What? I had an appointment scheduled and you are telling me that you took all these vehicles before mine when I setup an appointment 2 weeks ago? how about by the end of the day, will it be done? I asked. He said oh no, probably by tomorrow. Wait! What? ma'am we only have 2 service guys working and we are backed up. Does this make any sense to you?? Poor customer service, rude manager and highly do not recommend anyone to use these guys. Seriously, find somewhere else to take your vehicle for service because they are not staffed nor run professionall. read more

Highway 16 is where I go for all my Jeep needs. They have done an absolutely amazing job. They regeared my Jeep in order for me to get bigger tires. They wired my light bars for me. Drove in, described my problem....was helped immediately. Returned with the problem description and estimate for repair. Answered all my questions simply and to the point...no extra sales pitches for a lot of other services. Did point out I might want to do the brakes (one axle) as well since they had worn poorly on the side that needed a hub assembly. Said to go ahead with repair but I needed to return tomorrow morning because I didn't feel well...Graham said he would take me home and return to pick me up when complete. I was advised to come here for service and to seek out Michael or Tim (came highly recommended by someone at my church). I went to the location to find it resembled a "repossession yard" (large chain link fence with barb wire, no parking lot, just gravel spots in front of the building). I went in and was surprised that the inside looked nothing like the dirty and rather unpleasant exterior of the building. Tim was not able to help me in a timely manner (understandably; they looked very busy). I then got a nail in my tire in their parking lot. Knowing that I could not go back to them and get my tire fixed in a timely fashion, I went down the road to Mr. Tire and George was able to help me very quickly. I have been looking for a good, honest mechanic for a long time. I finally found one at Highway 16 Auto Repair. I recently had a tune up done on my 2007 Ford Expedition. It is very difficult to remove the spark plugs from that motor. In fact, if you look online you will find many horror stories of people who were left without a running car when their Ford mechanic broke a plug or two and let debris get into the motor. Graham not only did the job perfectly, he did so for less than half the price quoted at the Ford Dealer. I also own a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I have been getting that serviced at Firestone because I got lifetime alignment and rotations with a purchase of a set of tires. During my last service there, they told me that my front brakes were worn out and needed to be replaced. I opted not to do so at the time, and a week later I took the car to Graham to do the job. He looked at the pads and told me that they were only about half worn out! To me, that just shows the honesty and integrity in which they operate at Highway 16 Auto Repair. I never thought that I would write a good review about an auto repair facility, but after today's events, I felt compelled to do so. It is difficult for me to take my car anywhere for service because there are so many auto repair scammers out there. It is hard to know who to trust, when it comes to believing what needs to be done to fix your car. Case in point is I had a transmission fluid leak and I just moved to Denver NC. The only place that repairs transmissions in Denver is Highway 16 Auto Repair, so I took it there. Graham who is the owner and the mechanic with the most Cadillac Northstar experience did the initial evaluation with me. He and I could not find where it was leaking and after 30 minutes he suggested I schedule an appointment to leave it with him for further evaluation. I found out that if I drove the car on the highway, it would leak the most on the garage floor, so it was decided to drive the car on the highway and then drop it off at the end of the work day. This would allow the car to sit overnight and hopefully he could locate the leak. The next day there was fluid on the floor, but because there is almost no room to see what is going on around the transmission, the leaking point could not be found. What Graham did find was that there were several bolts not complete tight on the side transmission cover. I picked the car up with only a 40 dollar repair bill and it has not leaked since. It would have been very easy for Graham to tell me he had to pull the transmission which costs thousands of dollars but didn't. That tells me everything I need to know about Highway 16 Auto Repair and I will take my car there for any repair service that they offer and you should too!!! read more
