When I saw that someone had ripped down the left side of my car in a parking lot, I was, um, disheartened. She came back to her car and we gave the police officer our info and got an accident report. Brian, a friend, had suggested ACC near BelAir MD, saying had had some work done there and it was excellent. OK they're a bit farther away than I'd like, but after I got my estimate and check from the other driver's insurance company (Geico) I headed out. ACC people couldn't have been nicer. Karis took care of me and guided me through the process, even contacting Enterprise for my rental. I was told it would take 7 days to do the work. I left with the rental and got a call on the 7th (working) day that the car was ready. It had been snowing that day and the TV stations were saying, if you don't have to go out, don't! I didn't. I drove up the next morning, topped off the rental tank, and dropped it at ACC, Karis said they would contact Enterprise. I didn't have to. Excellent! I got a call from Enterprise later that day saying they had the car and everything was OK. My only kink with them was in picking up the rental, I had to wait about an hour because they didn't have any cars at the location. Not a big deal, but I would have thought they would. Geico (her insurance) , btw, couldn't have been nicer on the phone throughout the whole thing and even emailed their estimate documents to ACC, so I didn't have to forward mine. ACC wanted them in advance so they could order any parts needed. I don't have a fax machine any more and that would have meant I needed to scan in about 8-9 pages and send them by email. When I called my contact at the local geico shop, he forwarded that to me and to them. I called ACC to make sure they received the info and was told they had not. I asked Bob to check his spam folder, and there they were. Would not recomond this shop.Very disappointed . Took my truck in for some simple paint work and during the repair they caused some damage to the sourounding area. When I confronted them all they wanted to do was argue with me make excuses and talk down to me and refused to take responsibility for the damage they caused. Took my car there primarily because they went through my insurance. I got into a fender bender where my front and back bumper were damaged. I got a rental car for 30 days paid by my insurance through another company and then anything after they I had to pay. About 3 weeks in they called stating my car was ready for pick up and said it took a little longer because 1 of my parts had to be welded by a 3rd party. When I came to pick up my car only the back bumper was done. I came back in immediately and said only half of the car is done. So they took my car back and I kept the rental so they could finish the car. They said they initially didn't see the front bumper was damaged, and that it was at the bottom of the claim. It ended up going over 30 days so then I had to pay almost $300 for extra days for the rental. I asked for them to refund the rental cost due to them having me come in when my car wasn't ready and that they could have potentially finished everything while they were waiting for the 3rd party. I understand sometimes repairs take longer than 30 days but this was not that much repairs and they made it an inconvenience for me having to come back and forth. I was going round and round with staff at this facility and managers who would never call me back or return my emails. Made multiple phone calls with them stringing me along to still never hear back and still not get refunded. read more

I dropped rental off when I picked up my car. Yes they were going to call rental co to return car to have it picked up. No they did not do that. Car sits for the weekend in their driveway. Good thing I called rental co. To see if the car was ever returned. It was not. read more

My car was hit and Caliber was able to get my car into the shop immediately. They worked with Geico and kept me in the loop with all of the repairs, they used text messages to keep me informed - which was SUPER helpful. They were very responsive to my questions. I worked with Caliber Collision in Columbia, MD & loved their customer service and was happy to see it aligned with Bel Air. Due to the extensive damage, they did have my car for over three weeks and I had to bring it back to get a part put on because Hyundai delivered them the wrong part twice, but they had me in and out within 15 minutes. Do not waste your time with this place. It took almost a month to get my repairs done and there was no communication the entire time. I had to call for updates every couple days. They had a part come in damaged and didnt even tell me about it. kept saying it would be ready that friday. Finally when i called them on friday it wasnt going to be ready until that next week. When i went to pick it up finally the parking lot was a sheet of ice and no one cared to salt or anything. It just shows how much they do not care about their customers. I took my car that day only to realize they lost one of my weather tech mats. I called them and they started looking for it. I called them 15 mins before they closed to get an update and they said they found it in another persons car that had repairs there. They would call me the next day when they get it back. no call by 1230 so I called them and they got it back that morning. I'm unsure why its so hard for them to make a phone call, especially to someone who has had a bad experience. They wont bring my mat to me, i have no time to pick it up and i am left furious. They have no weekend hours and their hours during the week our my exact work hours. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCE. read more

When I originally took my explorer to Caliber Collision after hitting a deer, the customer service was great. I received a text every day with the status of the repairs. After picking up my vehicle (on a Thursday evening) I noticed that there was a strange sound coming from the front end so I called and scheduled to bring the vehicle back on Tuesday at 1pm. Upon arrival, the technician that worked on my vehicle recognized the sound and said that I would need to leave the car overnight. I told him that would be fine and that I was going on vacation the next day (wed) until Sunday and gave him the contact info of a family member that would be coming to pick up my car upon completion. When I came back from vacation, I was told by my family member that they were never contacted by caliber collision in regards to my car. Monday morning I called Caliber collision to find out the status of my vehicle and was told that the technician would have to call me. I received a call from Kevin (not the original tech that I dealt with) stating that they may have to take my car to a dealer to have it fixed and that he would call me when he figured out what was going on. Now this told me that he has NOT even looked at my car since I dropped it off on Tuesday and it was now Monday and he was feeding me a line of BS about having to take it to a dealer because on Tuesday the original tech had told me that it was a shutter that he had put on that was making the noise. I relayed the message to my husband who immediately called to speak to Kevin to find out what was going on. Kevin said that he may not get to look at my car since we just dropped it off late Thursday night. NOT TRUE, I had an appointment on TUESDAY at 1pm and left the car at Caliber. My husband told Kevin that the vehicle needed to be repaired by the end of the day to which he received an attitude from Kevin. Around 3pm that day, I received a phone call from Kevin who had a GINORMOUS child like attitude letting me know that my vehicle was ready, he never told me what repairs were made or any other type of info. When I arrived at Caliber to pick up my car, I was given my keys and a smile from the girl at the front desk. No paperwork, nothing telling me what they fixed and most importantly NOT even an apology for #1. not repairing my vehicle correctly the first time or #2. taking 6 days to repair my vehicle the second time . I amend my review to 3 stars because the work that was done was cosmetically 5 stars, mechanically 4 stars and if when all is said and done THAT is what is important to you, this is a good and better than average place to choose to get your car repaired from a wreck. While I would recommend the company as a whole, hands down, I would not allow my vehicle to return to this location. (1) My vehicle was not fixed the first time around-there remained a brake issue. Very frustrating when the vehicle only had 16k miles. (2) And when I let them know it wasn't fixed, the manager questioned whether the vehicle had this brake issue BEFORE the accident, which is just absurd and honestly what is earning them the the low review. (3) When I granted permission for my vehicle to be trailered to this location, it was my understanding I could get any remaining issues fixed at the location by my house, but when I reported the issue to Glen Burnie, they said they would need to trailer my vehicle back up to Fallston, which aggravated me even more. (4) And now, 2 months later, I'm really freaking angry that I received a fine in the mail for running a toll......which was taken while my vehicle was on a trailer in the possession of THIS company. The manager called my husband and wanted to make things right, but some pocket change for the toll does not amend for the aggravation for the FOUR issues I have listed in my review. read more

I was hit in the rear, because the driver behind me failed to stop. Their insurance company was State Farm and took responsibility for the accident. I told them I didn't have a problem going with one of their preferred repair centers. I went with the first one they stated that was the closes to me, which was Caliber Collision. I received a call from their corporate office and then received a call from there local office and they said there was a disconnect between the to offices for scheduling. I took my car in for an initial inspection and they estimated the repair work at $1,800.00 dollars. My Car is a 2011 Nissan Versa with 60,000 miles and excellent condition. When I took it in to be repaired several weeks later the repair work more than doubled and the insurance company ended up totaling my car and giving me a check for $6,600.00. I drove the car fine for several weeks from the time I was hit till the time I took it into Caliber to have repaired. I am not pleased with the disconnect between their corporate office and the local service center. I was not pleased that the repair estimate more than doubled. They maybe a good repair shop, but it seemed that they had more work than they could handle and there estimate and communication was very poor at best. I feel like because it was an insurance claim and it wasn't an extremely expensive car it wasn't worth their time and effort to repair it at a reasonable cost, because they had plenty of other work. No wonder our insurance premiums are so high! read more
