After checking it out, they told me they believed it simply needed an oil change. They didn't charge me anything for the diagnostic, and they were right--once I got the oil changed, the check engine light never came back. The second time, I brought my car in for a different issue. They were thorough, completed the work in a timely manner, and charged a fair price. About a month later, I started experiencing similar symptoms again, so I brought it back. They dug a little deeper and discovered a nest inside the system that was blocking the drain. They spent over an hour fixing the problem, getting completely soaked in the process. When it was time to pay, they told me there was no charge because they considered it related to the previous repair. I can't say enough good things about this company. It's rare to find a business that combines excellent workmanship with this level of honesty and customer service. They've earned my trust, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

A man with high integrity who did everything he could to help me out. He did his best to get my car started in an effort to avoid the tow but the ignition coil relay was toast and so i needed the tow. As i had just come off a double shift working 17 hours,Joe took care of everything and let pay later so i could get some sleep. Greatly appreciated by me. Took my car there primarily because they went through my insurance. I got into a fender bender…read morewhere my front and back bumper were damaged. I got a rental car for 30 days paid by my insurance through another company and then anything after they I had to pay. About 3 weeks in they called stating my car was ready for pick up and said it took a little longer because 1 of my parts had to be welded by a 3rd party. When I came to pick up my car only the back bumper was done. I came back in immediately and said only half of the car is done. So they took my car back and I kept the rental so they could finish the car. They said they initially didn't see the front bumper was damaged, and that it was at the bottom of the claim. It ended up going over 30 days so then I had to pay almost $300 for extra days for the rental. I asked for them to refund the rental cost due to them having me come in when my car wasn't ready and that they could have potentially finished everything while they were waiting for the 3rd party. I understand sometimes repairs take longer than 30 days but this was not that much repairs and they made it an inconvenience for me having to come back and forth. I was going round and round with staff at this facility and managers who would never call me back or return my emails. Made multiple phone calls with them stringing me along to still never hear back and still not get refunded.

The part that bothers me is the watery soap from the foaming brush. It's almost as if they do they to make you have to wash the car 2x. It's like a money grab. The heads on the brushes are small and circular. It's definitely some scam type activities from whoever owns or run this place. It's ways to just make you spend as much as possible while not really providing anything except a quick rinse off. I went here maybe 2x when I lived in Towson and stopped and started traveling all the way back to Dundalk to go to my old carwash simply because it's a better carwash and you get more than what you pay for. Be careful with those coins because I've had machines take my money and I couldn't do anything about it because there's no employees there.

First time here so maybe they had something extra I could've done but will probably bring my own towels next time. Overall very pleased!

They even made sure the vents were super clean. Overall, the car looked great! Their waiting room had TV, cold water, and phone charger! There are some issues with the tinting (small bubble lines), but I'm sure that they'll fix it when I get a chance to go back. Overall, very happy with the service.

Like everybody, I waited patiently in your thimble-sized office, navigated your comically undersized lot, and quietly appreciated the humor of your staff through the years. Thank you for that. So why today was I met by two new faces at the service desk with such a strikingly different attitude? I was surprised to hear oil changes require advance appointments, and you now prefer online. I mean, sure, I can do that. But when did that change? And why was a technician I've never seen before so condescending about it? He was downright hostile. Then the other guy chimed in and accused me of interrupting him. Honestly, gentlemen, I asked myself, "Is it worth it to schedule an appointment with you, if I know it's going to be you calling me to tell me any additional work that may need to be done? Do I trust the two of you?" The answer in that split-second moment was no. The arrogance, sarcasm, and belittling behavior by this pair made me realize I wouldn't trust these two to be the communicators of my mechanic shop. When I asked where the two old guys went, Kyle said with a smirk, "They went where all old guys go." Um, did they die? No, they retired, thankfully. Old guys from the desk, you are missed by your customers! Maybe it's the same great mechanics working behind closed bay doors at Hollenshade's, I don't know. Two guys I've never seen before told me things about how the business works that I've never heard before and treated me in a way no one at Hollenshades ever treated me before. Which leads me to the conclusion that this is not the same Hollenshade's I've trusted for over 20 years. I'm genuinely disappointed that I need to find a new mechanic. I honestly don't know what's happening at Hollenshade's anymore.
