I received daily follow up text messages letting me know the repair process, and my vehicle was ready earlier than they originally promised. Someone backed up into my parked car. Barely any noticeable damage but it still cost over a thousand dollars to fix. Luckily, Canby's was able to make my car look literally wayyyy better than before. They fixed the bumper, they detailed the inside of my car, and even cleaned off residue from a sticker that the dealer had placed next to the license plate. Could not be happier. As much as I hope I never have to go back, if I ever need body work that's where I'll be going. read more

I would not recommend! The Canby Belair Shop was sneaky and hot glued my front bumper back on. I found out when Honda changed my front light. Melody a nice lady, but I wouldn't trust them to ever work on my car again! They also never changed my front alignment.. Good Luck if I would you I'd go to the Aberdeen Shop or hit Maaco! read more

I took my truck to two paint body shops (Bob Bell Nissan & Canby). Bob Bell, which I bought the truck from tap danced around and did not give me a quote or how soon that I could drop it off for the repair. They did tell me to drop it off and rent a car and they would try to fit it in their schedule. Then I took the truck to Canby in Aberdeen to get a quote, Tim came out to give me an estimate. He saw the minor damage and had his painter come out and buffed the issue out of my paint immediately and did not charge me a penny!!!!! Talk about customer service!!!!!!!! I dropped my car off 4 weeks ago and just picked up last week. They have horrible customer service. Mr Canby asked me when I dropped my car off if I was going to be one of those customers that call all the time? Obviously I had to because I never got updates. I was told I would get text messages with updates but never received any. I had to call 4-5 times to get updates. They are not proactive in calling to get update on part orders, on calling insurance companies or contacting customers with updates. Horrible service. I will never take my car here for repairs or mechanical service. Make sure if you need any car service you call a more reputable mechanic. Canby motors does NOT cater to their customers, they act if as though their customers are an inconvenience (even though Canby Motors wouldn't exist without paying customers and insurance companies) read more

I could not obtain an estimate for minor damage without a long "song and dance" on their part about the accident and insurance companies involved. Visited twice and left without a quote after two other body shops provided a clear cut estimate without a hassle and long discussion. I went back the second time just to see their full business model in action. Definitely disappointed. The more you advertise the more problems you have as a company getting business. Avoid this body shop, and management, if possible. read more

The first time I used Canby it was the Bel Air location and they were nothing short of amazing to work with. This time I chose to take it to the Aberdeen location and have had nothing but issues. My car was in the shop for two months before I finally got it back. When I was told my 4runner was done, I was also told I couldn't even drive it off the lot. It had to be towed because my brake calipers went bad, which Canby told me was due to it just sitting at their lot and the brakes not being used. They did not pay for these repairs. The alignment on my car seemed to drive okay, but my wheel was completely turned to the left to go straight. My old gaskets were used, and are loose and not sealed properly. The paint job is horrible and my car is now two different colors. My covers for my power steering were cut and never replaced, and now my car is back in the shop needing an entire power steering rack replaced, because the seals behind the covers are gone, which again they're not covering. The air conditioning line was never bolted back down, so now is completely bent and rubbing against my steel reinforcement bars. I was told during yesterday's inspection of my steering rack, the air conditioning will probably blow soon if a new line isn't installed and bolted down. The only two things so far I have been told will be fixed is the paint job, and the steering wheel. However, they told me it would be WEEKS before they can even get my truck back in the shop. To say I am unhappy is an understatement. Both people who have inspected my car (besides them) have stated that it's more than evident the work done on my car was half a** work. Not to mention, Canby was NOT a preferred shop by my insurance company, so Allstate won't help me, and Canby isn't accepting any blame. $4000 for an accident that should have cost me $500. read more

The absolute worst repair shop I've ever been too I brought my 2018 Nissan Maxima in for damages as I had been rear ended in a brand new car and I trusted Canby, HUGE MISTAKE, stay clear of them , they told me my car would be done in 2 weeks and they kept it for 41 days!!! All while still making payments on a 1000 mile brand new car. They did shoddy over spray work and gave me my car back without working AC. They're penny pinchers trying to save and cut corners on your brand new vehicles. I don't leave reviews for places but this place is an absolute scam and I'll make sure nobody has to go through what I did. read more

I could hear him in the office screaming at the guys in the bay. Totally unprofessional! !! When I asked to speak to someone higher up. I got the owner and he reeked of alcohol! !!! I brought my vehicle to Canby Motors to get my front passenger wheel repaired and when I picked up my vehicle there was damage to my passenger side door. Russ McClelland, body shop manager, went to extraordinary lengths not to repair the damage. Russ McClelland default position is to lie about all aspects of his business model. Russ McClelland has practice the art of lying so convincingly that I believe that he actually believes his falsehoods. Do not trust Canby Motors or anyone who works there. Awful customer service. Stopped in for an estimate, needed a tailgate repainted. Already dismounted, prepped. The receptionist called for a guy in the back to give an estimate. After a wait, a guy strolls out doesn't even acknowledge me walks out to the see the job, says nothing but turns and walks back inside so I follow... he walks past the reception area and into the back. Well... I guess he's making an estimate? After 15 min. The receptionist says "sir, didn't he give you a card for another place?" I say no? She says " we aren't interested, sorry". I'm guessing the job wasn't big enough? But what an ass! If don't care if I have a BIG job! Me, my large family and allll of my friends will NEVER go to Canby! Took it up the street to Plaza Ford, they were happy to do it. I'll be sure to use Plaza and recommend them every chance I get. read more

I recently had a very eye-opening experience at Canby Motors at their Bel Air location. They originally handled an insurance claim through USAA for a smashed passenger-side door. The door was cosmetically repaired, but within a day of getting the car back, the entire passenger-side window fell into the door frame. Canby claims to have a lifetime guarantee on all of their work and when I originally called and explained the problem they seemed receptive and asked that the car be brought in. I also contacted the insurance company to inform them of the original faulty repair to have another rental arranged. When the car was dropped off, I was immediately met with claims that the window possibly fell in as a result of my negligence and insisted the door had to be taken apart to determine if the original repair was indeed faulty (yeah... makes a ton of sense!). I understand there are a wide-variety of circumstances where fraud could be committed under similar circumstances, however, when the door that was just recently replaced has an entire window fall into the door off the rail, I believe that Canby should show some accountability rather than try to re-direct blame in an attempt to get out of their "lifetime" warranty on work. I had to leave the car there for an hour to get a rental, but immediately called the insurance company to switch to another body repair facility. I then had to awkwardly go back and get my keys with my passenger-side window still busted from the original incomplete, and quite incompetently performed, Canby repair. It appears this company has been living purely off insurance referrals because they showed zero accountability in this scenario and immediately went to psychological deflection tactics. If you are thinking about taking your car to be repaired at this location or have been referred there by your insurance company... CHOOSE ANOTHER BODY SHOP! DO NOT GIVE CANBY YOUR BUSINESS! read more

I went for an estimate at the Bel Air location. I was told my Mercedes needed a diagnostic scan to remove all fault codes associated with the "crash." There was an additional charge of about $700 for this. The crash was a small scrape on the quarter panel and rear bumper. What they didn't know is that I'm a Mercedes Technician with over 25 years of experience and I knew instantly that they were scamming me. Took it somewhere else. read more
