We went in with our brand new Lincoln Continental that had some weird scratches on the lower rear bumper. Never figured out how they got there. Joe said it was "marginal" whiether a repaint ($600) or just buffing it out. He buffed it out and did a good waxing. It is perfect with only a couple of tiny spots that even a trade-in guy wouldn't notice. I'm gonna have Joe fix up my 16 year old Ford Ranger. It has only 63000 miles on it. We will go back and get an estimate. Joe is our go-to place from now on. And Joe is a really great guy to work with. Caveat: You can only get to JR"s when driving down Hwy 28 towards Kingston. It's just before Kenco and you come to a curve to the right and LOOK FOR HIS SIGN! Then pull over the fog line and pull off and go up the hill. Also, when you leave, you can only turn right off from Joe's place onto Hwy 28 and have to go down to Kenco, pull a uey and go back up 28. If you continue towards Kingston, it's not a problem, just keep on going towards the roundabout.

Tim Hart pretends to be a decent human being. In fact, he is a liar and a cheat…read more Like many liars, he cannot remember what he said before, so I heard many contradictory things from him. When my Honda CRV stopped working, he said it needed a whole new engine and that he had one all lined up. Believing his story, I sold the car to him for well less than 1/10th of its value. After he bought the car it suddenly did not need a new engine and was repaired at no cost by his friends in Red Hook. I kept in touch with him. A few weeks later, he could not remember what problems the car had that need to be repaired. Five months later, he suddenly could remember, and gave me a list of things that had been repaired. One of these items, the brakes, had been inspected and okayed by my own expert mechanic prior to the car's breakdown. Furthermore Mr. Hart claimed that he wanted my car to loan to clients whose cars he is repairing. What did he do that? If he advertised himself as a used car dealer, customers would be more suspicious and harder to swindle; if his purchase offer seems to be a one-time thing, he can cheat you all the better. He resold my car a few months after he bought it from me. Tim Hart is in fact a used car dealer and a dishonest one. Why do people lie in the first place? Lies are not a baroque linguistic decoration; they are a strategy to benefit the liar and disadvantage you. If your car won't go, take it to a reputable repair person who is not trying to buy your car. It is worth the towing fees to avoid being scammed for thousands of dollars. Do not believe what an expert says if he is trying to buy your car at the same time since he has a vested interest in lying to you. There are a handful honest and decent people in the car world and I have found two of them by now. Tim Hart is not an honest and decent human being. He is essentially a crook who should be avoided at all costs. I don't know how he sleeps at night.

Thank you…read more My name is Steve , the day you took over from John L, I went to you before you were even open and spoke with Brian about being a lifelong customer of John's, and wanting to keep relations alive. When you opened, i had my son bring his Subaru cross trek and Brian was the one preformed the body work and repainting and we were very satisfied. My other son and I also have a Durango SRT which we show in competitions. I came back a few weeks ago and spoke with Lindsay as Brian was gone, which was to install and adjust a carbon fiber hood and installing the vents in the hood as well as a carbon fiber trunk wing. I provided phone numbers/ Names of who to call for any questions or issues since this isn't a "everyday thing" shops around here do and in total spent 45 min at your shop going over everything so they're are no issues or problems The vehicle was there for over 1 week and during that time multiple attempts to contact the shop were made to make sure things were moving along and and the only call I received was 2 days before I picked it up to say 3M tape needed to be ordered. The shop phone is NOT monitor and there is always a full voicemailbox. I eventually had to drive over to the shop to ask about it's status and on the day we were instructed to pick it up, when we arrived we were told it was NOT completed and Lindsay was misinformed. The day we actually picked it up, my son went over the car and they're were several issues. The trim from under where the trunk wing spoiler was taken off and left lying in the trunk for whatever reason. I was told they were looking to see if they could drill holes to attach the accessory wing which I'm glad they couldn't because that would've not only destroyed my original wing but the $1,000 carbon fiber wing as well and is NOT how its supposed to be installed as I provided documentation on how to properly install it which involved 3M taped and silicone. It was installed using the 3M tape ONLY. The hood is installed very far forward, the vents were not installed correctly by not having the clips under the fiber layer, and make screw mounting hole elongated, if not aligned. On top of that the packing tape from transportation was never removed and now I have to clean off tape residue. Again no one called tech support to confirmed installation and how it should look. The windshield wiper sprayers had to be relocated into the Cowell, which not reinstalled correctly and now water can get in around arm gasket not making it sealed. When asked about this issues, Lindsay stated she had trouble aligning the drain vents in the cowell, I then asked if she contacted the company for questions to which she replied "no" and that someone watched how to install them on YOUTUBE. In my opinion, as a paying customer who's frequent this shop for 40+ years the treatment and service I received is 100% unacceptable. Prior to leaving your shop I expressed my concerns and frustrations to Lindsay to which I recieved excuses and frustration from her which included "we don't do this" to "I didn't charge you alot because we don't normally do this" and my personal favorite which was "well maybe you should have taken it to a custom shop" To which I say both are inexcusable and completely unprofessional since this was a task she took on and if she felt she couldn't do it she should have stated so. I had very high hopes of bragging about your Shop at the shows and how a local business now has custom experience that would open new venues. Before I left, Lindsay did get to a point where she said she would give me our money back for the issues and frustration. I was hoping this could be rectified and just Fixed. But I have given it serious consideration and I unfortunately can not let this slide. I do not feel secure returning this car there again to have issues rectified. The car has been taken elsewhere to be redone by a shop who has experience which is not local and because of this I would like a refund. I really wish things had turned out better in this situation because not only have you lost local business but a returing local and loyal customer of over 40 years. Thank you. . For this consideration, we will not leave any reviews or talk ill of your business as we understand mistakes were made and an attempt to rectify the situation are yet to be made This was what was sent to the business and They never responded.... SO Let the Reviews Begin.... Under new ownership, and I would not recommend them....

Was told he wouldn't work on it and to have it towed away to another shop citing that there were "too many cars in line" "people are always calling and interrupting me while I'm working". When picking up the car I tried to explain that I was only calling because of the timeline they gave me and the owner shouted at me threatened to fight me in the office?! Honestly, it seemed like he was having a nervous breakdown, so yeah, wouldn't recommend. Pretty insane way to treat customers.

I dropped off the truck in the morning and I got a call about 2 hours later. Milt told itme he had inspected the car test drove and it was not the tranny it was the power steering pump that had a small not noticeable leak but the fluid resevoir was almost dry and that was the noise I was hearing coming from the truck. He added power sterring fluid and solved the problem but let me know it something that will need attention down the road. I thanked him I picked up my truck later that evening. Drove the truck home ran like a charm. I will certainly take it to him again when I need work done. I appreciated his honesty he could have told me I needed a new transmission instead I got a honest and fair evaluation and fix. Thanks Milt glad to see that there are still good folk out there. The AAA tow truck operator asked me where I wanted it to be towed, and I immediately said "Sharp Transmission." The dropped it off and put the key in the after hours slot. Next day,I called Milt and said, take a look and give me my options. No rush, I said, since I have other cars I can drive. Milt and his crew found some time to not only diagnose the problem (two rubbng hoses put a hole in one), but to repair the problem. Same day! I picked the car up this morning and it is working perfectly. Like I said before, if you are not taking your car to Sharp, you should start doing so. Great service, excellent communication, attention to detail... Highly recommended.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Had a recent car vs deer collision on 12/7. My insurance company was absolutely miserable (that will be another review) and I waited 2 weeks to get the car moved out of salvage. Once up at H & V, the entire process changed! They were prompt, exceptionally professional, and couldn't possibly be more accommodating. I was so impressed by their willingness to keep me updated about the entire repair adjustment and process (Their website is great! Allows you to track your vehicle). Well the car ended up being a total loss, and H & V handled everything seamlessly! Kudos to Jenny and Michelle and all the others whose names I don't remember. I wouldn't go anywhere else after my first experience with Caliber - they made my 5yr old car look like new again! The customer service was exceptional and they kept me updated on timing given the delays on sourcing parts and pressure on supply chain during COVID. They also accommodated my target dates despite being ridiculously busy. Further, only after I had driven home did I notice a minor issue with the car repairs, when I brought it in they took complete responsibility & remediated, even though I hadn't noticed before driving off initially. Took my Kona to Caliber Collision and from the first moment I got there their kindness and professional way from the ladies at the reception desk to the assessor proved to me I chose the perfect place to have my vehicle repaired. Cost,length of time it will take was all discussed upfront.Car was done when they stated it would be and when I went to pick it up it looked like showroom quality. They also have some of the cheapest fuel prices for 87 octane gas, 91 Premium Octane Non-ethanol gasoline, as well as very fair priced diesel, and grill propane cylinder exchanges in the area! They also offer towing services if you get stranded or get into a crash! They only have 4 lifts but the crew usually pumps out over a dozen cars a day!
