Came in to get my car inspected today and it was very busy for such a small shop. I was impressed immediately that the technician told me straight out the gate that it would be about an hour wait minimum. Given the news, I still waited and my dog and I sat outside in the shade while I watched the other customers who got their before me slowly trickle through until it was my turn. The same technician kept me abreast to the status every 20 minutes and offered my dog and I to sit in the air conditioned waiting room, so we did. They attended to my old 1994 Cadillac efficiently once it was in the bay and didn't try to harass me into buying anything unneeded, unlike some other reviewers in the past. I was impressed. I will be coming here in the future for inspections and other services to reward their good job. read more

This place is fast and extremely professional. Was able to stay in my truck while getting the oil changed. Everyone wears masks and has zero contact, even when paying. Manager's name is Shamir and this guy is as professional and knowledgeable as they come. read more

I went here because of the fast oil change service. Thanks... it was fast. I am a Lyft driver and have to keep my car in tip- top shape. They had done a fantastic oil change. But let me tell you this. They DESPRETLY need a Face Lift to the building. The waiting room was small. maybe about 5-6 chairs and some standing room. read more

This place is a scam they will find anything wrong with your car while doing the yearly inspection. Example the tinniest tear in your windshield wiper so you have to buy one from their shop or the inspection is failed and you still have to pay for it. They took less then 10 min to do the inspection and that's all the could find. I don't recommend this place at all! They also won't do oil changes to all cars. Total scam! read more

Absolutely disgusted with this service. Who messes up a basic oil change? Went back to complain and the mechanic argued and yelled at me until I became visibly upset and had to leave. I've heard of mechanics taking advantage of females but this was disgraceful. He excused the assistant manager and proceeded to tell me that whatever my problem was is my own fault. I came in with hopes of him apologizing and offering to check out the car. Instead he got defensive and disrespectful. Ive never experienced such terrible service that I went home shaking and crying. This was my first time at any Valvoline. I was very impressed. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything unnecessary. My car did have some recommended maintenance, and the employees explained what each part was for and its price. It was a little more expensive than what I usually pay, but I appreciated the multi-point inspection. My only disappointment was that I wasn't able to get my NYS inspection done because their machine was down. Overall a great experience! read more

There is an Oil change place right down the road from this one that is 100 times better! This place is terrible. They are vultures looking to suck every dime from you. #1 they do that annoying thing of pulling out your air filters and giving you a song and dance about how you should replace them and shake their heads sadly when you say no. "really? not even that one?!" he says. Really! I don't want to be overcharged for your airfilters thanks. #2 The last time I went there (I went by mistake. it looks like the one down the road), I asked to get the car inspected. The guy told me I had to get my windshield wipers replaced because they were torn and it would cost me at least 22$ each. I said no and he said fine, he would charge me the money, fail my car, and take off the sticker. I know NYS says your windshied wipers can't be torn but when the car came out only one of them had a 'tear' and the other one had a tear ONE CENTIMETER LONG! I replaced the offending wiper for 8$. I hate to sound like a whiner here but it is possible to go to a place like this and leave feeling like you got your money's worth (ie the place down the road) and this place inevitably leaves me feeling taken advantage of. read more

They were okay. My girlfriend's brother's friend works here so i kinda got treated a little better than a regular customer, but when he wasn't there, this places' true colors came out. The thing that never made me come back was when I pulled up and their sign said open, but when I got to the back, they said they were closed. Then as I drove around to leave, they ran inside and tried to flip the sign before I could see it. Poor customer service and pricey. read more

I took my truck in it was a 2011 GMC Sierra into them to have a oil change what a big mistake that was they ended up breaking my oil hoses to my radiator oil started pouring all over the ground and then they told me that this happens once in a while because of the change in oil pressure which I found out was so untrue warning be careful do not take your vehicle to Valvoline on 802 Ulster Ave. in Kingston ny they are liars and thieves I never take time to put in a complaint but I have to tell you this is well worth it so nobody else gets stuck I ended up having the dealer fix it and was charged $430.00 read more

I'm surprised to see such negative reviews. I tried this place on a whim and was really happy. Fast, friendly, knowledgable service. No upselling! And they pointed out a burned out taillight bulb (which I didn't know I had) and replaced it at cost. Tech even told me if I'd brought in my own bulb, they'd have replaced it at no charge. I went to have my oil changed on my BMW 06 first they tech broke my bolt to the oil pan, I was there for 4 hours while they looked for something to replace it with. After a while they found something placed it there "tested" if it would hold by putting some oil in there and looking, they brought my dip stick to me and I questioned why the oil looked low the excuse they gave me was that all it needs.... Well trusting in the fact that they should know what they are doing I left the shop. I was concerned about the plug they put would hold so I called back and was told "its out of our hands u have to bring it else where". My car was the my car started to make a noise and guess what the low oil levels cause damage to my engine!!! I have been trying for they to stand up and do what's right but they refuse to take responsibility for the actions of their tech. These tech are not trained well enough to work on certain cars! lesson learned I hope this will make ppl think twice before bringing your car for service there. read more
