Vehicle work was completed, got a call from their office & work was completed in a timely manner. They never try to upsell things not needed. WATCH OUT. Brought my car here for an alignment after a full suspension job. They provided no printout, giving me no confidence they aligned it to any kind of specification, and I can only assume just eyeballed the toe, because the new tires have now prematurely worn the inner edges. I'll be needing new tires (and a proper alignment from a different shop!) after a few thousand miles. This place scammed me - bring your car to a shop that properly performs the work you pay for, not one that will screw you over while grabbing your cash. read more

They are really nice people But I took my car here to get my water pump fixed. They told me i had another problem. I told them not to fix it because i couldnt afford it. They said okay. When i walked in to pick up my car i was told they fixed what i wanted and they also fixed the tensioner that wasnt even mentioned when we spoke and it came out to be double what i was expecting to pay. For someone who lives paycheck to paycheck it wasnt fair of them to do this. They said they needed to take the serpentine belt off to fix the water pump which is fine and dandy but I was able to get the serpentine belt on a few months prior with the tensioner being broken. They could have at least mentioned it on the phone instead of blindsiding me with the bill. I didnt get to buy any groceries that week, thanks Triebles. read more

If I could give six stars, I would. When I lived in Brooklyn I had a wonderful mechanic. He was also a friend. He treated my aged automobile like it was his. When I moved upstate I went to two places, one didn't even want to deal with a car this old. I had a leak in what I thought was a coolant container (what do I know)? Turned out I needed a new radiator. Let me tell you. Their rates were fair, their customer service excellent I waited a while because I told them I had access to a friends car ; still it wasn't long before I had my car up and running. I know I will have to give in to hospice care at some time (my car is 21 years old) but now I have hope that there's a place that will keep it going...........wish I could say the same about me...just replace the parts.......! read more

I was visiting from out of town and chose this place based on the high reviews on Yelp. I called to let them know I had to head home today and wanted to know if they had time to see me. They told me to come down right away which I did. When you are out of your element you're a bit apprehensive on what to truly expect. They took me in right away and found my concern being absolutely nothing. Gents gave me back my keys after testing it out and I made it home on time! Honest and kind people. I had given up all hope on finding an honest mechanic until I met these guys last week. I'm tired of the salesman approach when it comes to finding out what's wrong with your car and what it will need. I read some reviews online prior to bringing my car in and heard they were very honest. I had to get my car inspected and they found something major that needed fixing. They gave me an estimate which was over $800 and wound up getting the work done along with a bunch other things for $773. A "maintenance required" light came on in my car and we finally got to dropping it off this morning. We're new to the area and decided to bring it to Triebel's. Got a call back from them just a few hours later saying we could come back to pick up the car, and when we arrived, the woman behind the desk let us know that it was nothing -- probably just a light set to remind us to get our oil changed every so often. Not only did they not seem to try and find things to fix, they didn't even charge us for looking at it. A small gesture like that goes a long way, and I'll definitely go back in the future since they're clearly not trying to rip people off. Hugely appreciated! read more

The first time I went there, it was for a burnt out brake light for a car I had bought two weeks prior. The dealership was just down the road and had the final inspection before sale at Trebel's. The mechanic changed it and did not require pay since it had just been checked out by them right before. A really generous act for something they possibly overlooked in inspection. I have gone there before for an oil changed on Sunday at 11:30am before they closed at noon. The mechanic still offered to do it there within the hour even though he was closing. I just had one of the most positive auto mechanic experiences I've ever had. I'm driving a little Honda coupe in the mid-Hudson Valley (perhaps not the greatest choice of vehicles, especially in the winter), and last night the bumper all but ripped off due to the many potholes and other road hazards around here. I asked around, and several friends recommended I go to Triebel's to get it looked at. I drove in right as they were opening up this morning, and asked the mechanic to take a look. Everyone I encountered was exceedingly friendly, even though it was 8:30 in the morning. The mechanic told me I could wait inside, and that it would just be a few minutes. Not even 15 minutes later, he comes back in and says he was able to pop it back on, and that it will hold up until I can eventually get a new bumper (which I've been needing for a while now anyway). I never felt condescended, like they thought I was an idiot who knew nothing about cars, which is how I normally feel when I go to an auto mechanic. And the best part: he didn't charge me a dime. I kept persisting, but he wouldn't take my money. I don't say this so that people should go in there expecting handouts and free service, but to testify to Triebel's incredible service. For the remainder of my time in the Hudson Valley, I'll only be going to Triebel's for any auto service. read more
