So rude! I never got past the first call trying to make an appointment for an ESTIMATE to repair front end damage to my brand new Suburu Forester caused by a hit and run to my car while I was parked at a gas station. I was not even in the car at the time. They were not interested in anything except getting me to drop the car off for repair, regardless of what that would cost, who knows how long until insurance decides to inspect it, then they get around to fixing it. Could be weeks! Meanwhile I have no car? My insurance does not include a rental car and has a large deductible. I'm a pensioner and all I was doing was putting gas in my car when it happened and all I am asking for now is an ESTIMATE of what it would cost to repair. And they're refusing. They couldn't care less. The insurance company is recommending these clowns. It may just be this particular branch, but more heartless and uncaring is hard to imagine. This place was terrible with communication. I brought my car in because of the insurance company handling my claim. They not only overpriced my damage and under valued my car, they also took my battery out, and didn't attach it, gave me the car to drive and I got stranded. When I called them about it, since the battery and I part of my engine was damaged, they told me it was my problem since I picked up the vehicle and hung up on me. When my fiancé came to help me, the battery wasn't attached to anything because they never screwed it back on, so I had driven it with the wires all loose...I will never go here again due to the terrible service and unsafe practices. I cannot say enough great things about the team at Caliber Collision. Someone had backed into my car and I was able to meet with them right away to assess the damages. We then waited to hear back regarding my insurance claim and I brought the car back to the location. This has been a horrible experience with Caliber Collision in Riverhead. We were told repairs would be done in a reasonable time frame. We were told something different each time I reached out for status of repair. When we finally got to pick up our vehicle, after a ridiculous amount of confusion at the front desk, I got in the passenger seat and smelled a disgusting, musty odor! My husband just wanted to get out of there, as he had a headache. By the time I got home, I got out of the truck and the back of my pants were damp! Obviously, someone over there left the window open. I am furious. Waiting to hear from corporate office as I have been issued 2 separate case numbers. I'm hoping that Chelsea and Melvin do the right thing by us. Never again will I go to the Caliber Collision in Riverhead! several years ago I got into an accident and my insurance company recommended caliber collision. My car came back more beautiful than ever from them after that accident. Recently i got into an accident with that same car and it was towed to a local collision place but knowing the work that caliber did previously, I asked the insurance company to tow my car to caliber. I'm so happy I did. although the car was considered totaled they were still so patient, friendly and knowledgeable of the whole process. I will never use any other collision place except caliber. although I hope I don't have tI since I don't have nine lives ;-). read more

My car was recently hit by a deer and the driver side door and front fender was destroyed. I want to explain what a pleasant experience I had with Caliber Collision. They were recommended by my insurance company so I was at first a bit hesitant, however I knew that because they were a partner with my insurance company that the work would be done much faster. I really did not know how much faster, and to what quality. The estimate was completed within 24 hours and the repairs were done within the next two days! I was back in my car in the same week! The staff kept me abreast of the situation every step of the way and even returned my rental car for me. I highly recommend the Riverhead location. They took an awful situation and made a really nice outcome for me. read more

I needed a gas cap cover put on which I thought would take less than a minute as I had the part. Chris made 3 trips to the shop and it took 20 minutes. He could not have been nicer and more accommodating and would not take any money. i would give them my highest rating. read more

The craftmanship was excellent however my car took over 60 days to be repaired. Many times I had to follow up my own phone calls requesting a my cars status from the Riverhead location. The entire staff was friendly when I did get a hold of them. Problems: I kept getting promise dates that were missed because of various equipment, parts required and shop personnel issues. Very frustrating as I have dealt with repair shops in the past and have never experienced so many delays with so many excuses. I asked for some consideration on my $1,000 deductible due to the inconvenience of renting a car from Enterprise that had only 30 days coverage by my insurance company All State plus another $17 a day I had to pay because Enterprise had no cars for the $30/day. Caliber did pick up the cost for the second 30 days as an acknowledgement that they took so very long to complete the repairs on my vehicle. I asked the General Manager Chris for "some" consideration on my deductible and his quote was "That's Illegal' We all know shops that work around the deductible issue and initially I did not ask for anything but after extreme delays and not getting return phone calls until I complained about no return phone calls on day 50. At that point Caliber/Chris became communicative. But come on! You couldn't find a way to offset some of the deductible because I got jerked around by extreme delays on my vehicle. Summary: Car looks and handles great. Service, scheduling and communication was awful. They agreed to pay the rental car for the extra 30 days after I protested. I wouldn't be complaining about "consideration" if the car was finished in a reasonable time frame and Chris was better at returning phone calls. read more

Could not have asked for a better place to have my car sent to after my first accident. I got my vehicle back later than the date they originally said, but they told me it was because another issue arose unexpectedly and they did not want to send my car back until it was fully repaired. I had plastidip on my rims and they replaced the chipped areas on both front wheels, when only the left side had gotten damaged - pleasant surprise! They also did a thorough clean inside and out, so much that my car looked even newer than when I had brought it in. I would highly recommend them and will bring my car here again if I ever need repairs. read more
