Update: Some of the interaction left a bad taste and I still remember it. When we got to his designated spot, which was a 35 minutes drive to a parking lot. First he told me that he had to increase price because my paint was special? Really? A small spray paint that costs $100 more? Since I've already made the effort to drive there, it was his bullshit excuse to jack up the price. We agreed upon $50 increase. He seemed unhappy and said "I expect a good tip". He completed the job in about an hour. Saw his quality of work and it was great. We agreed upon $350, so I gave him $150 tip and he said "that's it?". Not even a thank you. He then asked me to leave a review to make it up to him. Mind you, I had to drive to this spot where he designated, and he is his own boss. Tip should be optional and not expected, especially for someone who works for himself. The tip was 50% of job cost and wasn't even appreciative. Left a sour taste even after all this time. Dino works hard and cares about the quality of his work. He does a good job and the price will be much lower than going to a shop. He managed to fix a big dent that required a paint job. At first he thought he could do the job without painting but because the dent was stubborn, and required some drilling, it ended up requiring a paint job. I was pleased with the outcome. He told me up front that it would not be 100 percent perfect, and because cars fade, the paint may not match 100 percent perfectly. Yet it was pretty close. I am not going to lie, I was a little skeptical about a "mobile" repair guy coming to fix my car. But I read the reviews, and I was willing to take a chance. I am so glad that I did! I got an initial quote with just scratches, but Dino showed me where there were dents in my car. (someone hit me on the corner). He was such a professional that he quoted me a new price that would make it look like new. Although, I didn't want to spend the money I am so glad that I did. I made too wide of a left turn in my large outdoor parking lot. Right front wheel went over the concrete island and the bumper scraped over the concrete. The right front part of the bumper popped out. I checked out five other estimates from conventional body shops, and they were $750 to $1200. Dino offered half of that, and fixed the bumper like the damage never happened, in about 40 minutes. I was very happy with the finished product. When I decided to hire A1 Dent Tech I was concerned about their not having a conventional brick and morter body shop. Dino coming to my location turned out to be a great convenience, and he did a great job. One more thing. I had the cash to pay him in my pocket. But, I forgot that I had the cash for him wrapped around $45 that I had before.
