I took my vehicle to this location after a series of horrible experiences at the Austin Highway location where it took over three months of inconvenient back and forth and broken promises to get my vehicle repaired only to have paint peeling on the replaced bumper 4 months later. My experience at the City Base location has been no better as this sort of service seems to be the culture in this organization. I have twice made arrangements to drop off my vehicle for what I was told would be a one-day repair only to find at pickup that the vehicle was not even looked at! Each time I am given a half-hearted apology and told to drop the vehicle off once again. It is very inconvenient to me and my household when I am without a vehicle. Everyone is affected. Stating this seems to fall on deaf ears at Caliber Collision and I am extremely disappointed and have lost all trust in this organization. Stay away from this place these people are unprofessional and are the biggest liars I have seen at any business thus far. My daughters car has been sitting there for close to 2 months it is a nightmare. I have had to call the manager and he is no help Frank. Definitely watch out if you have a car there and Brandon is handling it he lied to me about 10 times. I can only call the general manager and I see no help coming from that. My Jeep was rear ended at the beginning of April caliber collision was the company I decided to go with I was super nervous that they would flop but now having my Jeep back I have nothing but good things to say, they picked up my vehicle and inspected it within two days. the timeline was as expected although they did find internal damage they still stayed under a month to repair and return my vehicle. Which I think is very fast considering all the repair my vehicle required. They have great communication and they had the same person be In Contact with us through out the whole process his name was Doug and he was very kind and professional. I thought that was very important since it helps the customer trust the company more knowing there's one specific person who knows your whole case and is in charge of updating you on all the progress. Last but not least the work done on our Jeep is amazing our Jeep looks like a brand new vehicle just as we were hoping considering it's a 2018 and we were worried you'd be able to tell it was repaired. They also used all ORIGINAL JEEP PARTS which was also super important for us. It looks like we drove it straight off the car dealer. They also gave me the option of delivering my vehicle to me vos me picking it up and also took my rental back to enterprise. This place sucks. I wouldn't recommend anyone going their. Went in to get some collision repairs because someone hit my truck and they took two weeks to fix a rear view mirror and not only that they stained the roof of my truck with some kind of grease/oil, my door panel wasn't put back together correctly (it's sticking out all along the window edge) went in with a perfectly working battery just got my truck from the dealer a couple of months ago 5months and turns out 2weeks if it being there at caliber collision and now my battery won't hold charge at all, they left something on or open in my truck and so now my battery doesn't hold no charge and I have to replace it at my expense. They were trying to blame it on the Texas heatSo unprofessional. read more

Let me start by saying that Caliber did correct everything that they did wrong on my 3rd visit & only after speaking w/ one of their VP's. I had a accident on 2/4/23. Took my car to Caliber/Broadway downtown as one of USAA's premier shops. When I got my car back, parts weren't aligned correctly & my replacement alloy wheel was mismatched. Service advisor said it was the best they could do, so I accepted it. I received a call a week later asking about my experience, I explained dissatisfaction in misaligned parts, wrong wheel. They asked I bring it back, I explained I'd take it to a different location since not satisfied with 1st locations work. Took it to Frank/mgr/city base. This is where it goes from bad to worse. Frank (mgr) greets me ( had communicated by phone about taking the car in) lacks any interpersonal skills, empathy, and as I later find out, any communication skills. After explaining that I didn't want to take it back to the original location since they did shoddy work he said he would let me know when parts were in & when I to drop off the car. In between 2 weeks I left a couple of messages with tl front desk and his voicemail & never received a call back. Finally, after contacting his regional manager, I got a call back. Frank asked that I leave the car early morning so that it could be ready later in the day. 3 days later & after one unreturned call to find out the status, I pick up my car. I asked Frank to explain to me what work was done on my car and his response was, "as I've told you before..". No paperwork was given to me which is why I asked what was done. He shows me how they replaced the mismatched alloy wheel w/ a new one which is the correct color and corrected the parts that were misaligned. I go home and notice the driver side door is now misaligned which it was not when I took it in. I called the next day and didn't get a response. After the weekend as I'm washing my car & still waiting for Frank to call back about my misaligned door, I noticed that the mismatched alloy wheel had been rotated to the rear driver's side wheel. That was never part of the original work order as it was not involved in the accident. I called Frank and asked him to explain what happened. He blamed his service tech never once accepting fault for the work his store did. He kept calling it miscommunication. I stopped at his location, he never once said hello or a handshake or didnt even apologize. I asked him how such an error could occur. How could they do work on my car on a part that was never involved in the accident. He again blamed his service techs. I asked him about the door because I wasn't sure if that happened at his store or at Goodyear where they sent it for work. He now looks upset. I stated that this seems to possibly be a deceptive practice (when there is a representation, omission, or practice that misleads or is likely to mislead a consumer). Trying to explain I was misled to believe they replaced the incorrect alloy wheel. I don't think he quite grasped that and said that he wasn't trying to deceive me. By now his stance, communication and facial expressions showed agitation. I asked him if he was agitated, to which replied yes I'm agitated because you're accusing me of something we didn't do (when obviously the work was done at his location & he was the one who wrote up the service order). He kept overspeaking & I left, as he left me feeling uncomfortable. After calling their corporate office, I received a call from the vice president of caliber, he apologized and took the steps to correct the work that was done on my car. While my car was back in their possession for the third time, they found more things wrong with it that were part of my auto accident. Meaning they didn't do job right the first time Instead I feel they rushed the job the first time. Although they corrected it, I would never recommend. When you're the manager you're in charge anything that happens is under your watch and Frank took things too personally. Especially when you tell a customer you're agitated with their complaints. My car was damaged in the hail storm last week and I was looking for a place to take it in. A friend recommended I take it to this location and he was not wrong at all. Super friendly staff that takes care of you during your waiting time and makes sure everything goes smoothly. My car was in and out within two days! I had my Lexus repaired at Caliber at the suggestion of Safeco Insurance. After a few delays--many associated with electronic checks being performed on the system--a beautiful vehicle was returned to me that looked almost pristine. That is, until I took the vehicle in for its annual inspection and was told Caliber had failed to properly reinstall a right headlight connector. When notified, Caliber immediately picked up the vehicle, corrected the problem, and delivered the car to my home. They did a great job. read more

I am 32 and I have had my car repaired twice now from this location, at 2 yrs apart, and both times I have been overall pleased with the experience. The 1st time I took it in a nice elderly lady hit me head on into the side of my car. I can't say side swiped because her whole front end was destroyed. (Everyone was safe and we even said a thankful prayer together.) She took out the whole right side of my car from bumper to bumper. It took 3 weeks until I was able to pick up my car. I was informed that it was ready, but they actually kept it 2 additional days after I went and tried to pick it up. After I went back 2 days later, my car was actually ready, and it looked great. What I didn't like was they informed the lady's insurance that it was completed too, but failed to let them know of the 2 additional days, so my car rental was 2 days over. In other words USAA would not cover the 2 addt'l days I had the car from Enterprise, even though it was an error from Caliber. HOWEVER, Caliber Collision was quick to apologize and took care of that charge for me. One of their men even followed me to the rental place down the street to give me a ride back to pick up my car. I failed to think about having someone do this for me since this was my first accident. This was why I went back to them for my 2nd repair. Took it in last Tuesday, 11/27/2018, and got it back that following Friday, the 30th. They said it was ready on Thursday, but I had work so I was unable to pick it up that day. Everything once again looked great. What was even better, you know the cherry on top, is that they not only vacuumed my car but got the outside cleaned from them nasty butterflies that have been flying in swarms everywhere. It can be difficult to get them suckers off. I do not remember if this is something that they did last time. 2 years is enough to forget certain details. I was in a slight shock at how clean my Nissan was to be honest, I have been so busy the last few months that I have not kept it that clean myself. I expressed my thanks, only I wanted to give them the 5 star rating I feel they deserve. I did not do this the 1st time around, but now I am leaving a review. I pray I never have to take my car in again, but if I my car needs it I know where I am taking it. Thank you to the employees at Caliber, especially to Marcus, who was in charge of the recent repair. In May 2018, my car was involved in a rear end hit and run accident. The car was repaired back to "just like new" condition and I was very satisfied. Forward to October 2018, when we experienced the torrential rains for about 2 weeks. I noticed that both the rear passenger cloth seat and the headliner had water stains. I figured it was coming from a leak in the back windshield that had been replaced during the initial repair in May. I took the car in and they discovered that it wasn't the windshield that was leaking, rather, it was the antenna on top of the car. It had loosened and was causing the leak. Even though it had nothing to do with the original repairs, they took the time to fix this problem AND cleaned up the headliner and upholstery. I want to thank Alan Rovello, the manager of Caliber Collision, for going above and beyond my expectations. I received 5 star customer service from this San Antonio location. Do not take your car here!! If I could give zero stars I would. I had my car towed there 2/26/18 and today 4/13 they still are not done!!!! it had been hit on the side in a parking lot pretty damaged but not severe. They have been stalling and giving the run around this entire time They could never provide an estimated completion date. They could never provide me an actual status other then "we're waiting on parts, we need to order parts..." parts took less than a week to get there. It was them who were stalling. It would move up the line and they discover they need to order a part, they order the part and when the part arrived after a few days they put it in the BACK of the line. Then it eventually gets to the front and they realize oh this part we ordered isn't going to work we need a different one, my car goes off to the side, part gets there after a few days and my car is yet again put in the back of the line to wait to be repaired with all the parts they finally have. This has been the process for weeks. Why was it never put in the front of the line considering it had been there since February??! When they finally called to say it was ready 4/13/18 I was excited to finally get my car back only to get there and realize my car is STILL damaged. There were scratches and paint chips all on the point of impact. The whole time they were insisting it was taking so long because they wanted to be sure my car was repaired properly blah blah how could they miss that!! When I pointed it out first they said wait let me make sure the insurance paid for that... (quickly learned they did- bc unlike caliber geico is competent and knows how to do their job) and then all they could say is sorry we're human we missed it (he was not genuinely sorry at all). I had to leave my car there and was promised to get my car back 4/16 we'll have to see if they can get it together. My service advisor, Marco Silva, was efficient and courteous. He kept me updated throughout the process and the car was ready earlier than he anticipated. It was returned to me in pristine condition. Caliber Collision New Braunfels did a great job on my 2018 Mazda 6. I sustained damage to the front bumper, front fender (driver's side) and hood. My Mazda has the Crystal Soul Red paint which is a multi layer paint and difficult to work with. Mine was the first time the New Braunfels location had sprayed this paint. They brought in a tech from the company that supplies the paint to make sure they got it right. I'm a tad OCD and expect a lot from people. Stephanie worked with me (patiently) to address all my concerns. The paint looked great but there were some dust nibs and over spray that I noticed once I took the car home. Stephanie had me return the car and I met with her boss. We went over my areas of concern and they worked on the car for a few more days to remedy all the problems. The entire process did take a while to complete and I feel that it should have been finished out properly the first time so I didn't have to make a return visit. However, the final product met my expectations and Caliber Collision New Braunfels will be my first choice for any future paint and body needs. read more
