These guys are great! I dealt with Francisco. I had an insurance claim, I dropped off my truck., Francisco showed me all the damages he could see. He had a part that the I stance did not allow. He went ahead and polished, painted, and made sure my truck Kiki's great even tho insurance denied that portion. This is definitely above and beyond. I don't know many shops that would've done that. Especially for a stranger. Francisco was extremely friendly extremely informative. Everybody in the shop was nice and helpful. They got my truck back to me ASAP and it looks beautiful. I will definitely refer them to any Friend that may need bodywork. I definitely will use them again. I'm more than happy with the service. read more

I've been to caliber collision before but never this location. I will never come to this location again. As a USAA member they recommend Caliber Collision and I thought that meant the company held high standards, to include customer service. The man helping me delivered my repaired vehicle with a new damage! My passenger door no longer would lock. When I notified the man helping me, he tried to make it seem like I broke it. We got into an argument in the lobby, which is wild to me that I had to even argue in the first point over something they broke. The whole process took almost a month and the communication from them was horrible with minimal updates along the way. I constantly had to call and check the status. Very exhausting and uncalled for. read more

I brought my car in for a rear end collision repair, not a huge job, but it was the repair shop my insurance company told me would handle the fix. The job took 3 weeks, delays for several days involving something about sensor calibration. I got the car back just in time for a road trip to the east coast. It was just before my departure that I noticed the clear coat on the trunk had been over sprayed and had run over the edge of the truck, pretty easy to see. Also, this is minor, but the Camry logos on the trunk, LE and HEV were put back on the car in the opposite positions that they were in before the accident. Minor, yes, attention to detail by Caliber, not so good. It's an ok place, guess I'd better go back so the mistakes can be fixed. Hopefully, not three weeks. Bad service, not helpful. Not customer care oriented. The receptionist was rude and the service Guy Oscar not helpful. They claimed my AAA insurance claim was not assigned to them and they will not even look at my car. 8-24-2023 UPDATE Caliber has made things right, it's now exactly as we hoped.. I would easily given them 5 stars if it were this way the first time. But thank you for getting things right for us. So far not satisfied with my daughters front bumper repair, pick-up was 8/21/2023 and the attempted color matching was horrible. We did not accept the vehicle and I hope they do a better job. If they make this right I will rewrite this review. My Ford Explorer 20', headlight broke bc something fell off of a work truck on the freeway bounced off the ground and smashed into my headlight ‍... Allstate scheduled me an appointment with Marco Anaya at Caliber Collision... I was VEERRYYY Verrry Happy with his OVER & BEYOND Customer Service ... he REALLY cared about getting my car fixed and ESPECIALLY not wanting to take it from me Until my New headlight was there so his technicians could install it so I wouldn't miss out at work and especially having my car to pick up my boys from school. So as soon as the part was confirmed on its way to his shop he called me to take it in and they replaced it the same day ... I strongly urge you to take your business somewhere else. I went last Friday to Caliber Collision on Manya Cir in Chula Vista. I went for an estimate on a 2019 Chev Camaro. I filled out some forms, Carlos took some pictures, and claimed that the estimate would take 2-3 days, possibly one day because there was minor damage. I have been waiting patiently for a week and still have not received an estimate. I called their office today and they claimed they have no record of my vehicle or estimate. I can expect to get the run around from the insurance company but not Caliber. What a waste of my time. This was just for an estimate, can imagine dealing with their body shop? No thanks, taking my business somewhere else. read more

This place took 2 months to get my car repaired. Poor communication and keep extending and breaking the promise dates. Don't expect them to give you the current status of your vehicle. I literally have to call them to remind them of their responsibilities. Dont take your vehicle here. read more

My car broken into and stolen my 16 months old SUV at their car lot. It was supposedly safe and secured with chain lock. This would have been prevented if they have real surveillance camera in place and have a good management system to check car keys are secured and locked not leaving inside the car at the end of the day. I can not say enough good things about my experience with Caliber Collision. I had been in an accident and dealing with the other party's insurance company, which was horrible and just a huge hassle. I picked to have my car fixed at this shop because of other reviews I had seen. Freddy was the mechanic assigned to my car. He was absolutely amazing. He was very helpful with any questions I had and kept me updated through out the whole process via text and phone calls. Once my car was ready (which was several days earlier than expected) I was so happy with the outcome. Not only did they do the expected repairs but they also went above and beyond with general details and cleanliness of my car. I felt like I drove off in a new car. I am very impressed with my first experience working with caliber collision. The staff were kind, professional, knowledgeable and honest. They carefully reviewed the damage on my vehicle with me and even uncovered damage caused by work done improperly at a previous body shop. I felt comfortable leaving my vehicle in the their hands. I brought my cars here years ago when it was Sunset Auto Body. I thought okay just a name change, should be okay. Work was done well, however communication is horrible. I noticed a slight dent on the passenger side door. The advisor states "I thought you knew about it already so I didn't mention it to you". It seems more like he didn't see it until now but according to the one picture he took "you can kinda see the shadow". ummmm that's a shadow of a car next to mine! Nonetheless, not happy with the communication. Moreover, the so called advisor and manager never called me back about fixing it. The picture was inconclusive, and the whole time, the advisor was finding reasons why it preexisted.... "tapping the panel and saying "yah hear that there's filler here". I go to the driver side and replicate his tapping... ummm are your telling me that there's filler on this side too? "Well there's touch up paint here on the handle" I replied yes there's touch up paint in other areas too where there are chips. The 2 stars represent the service I received from that guy W. Not happy with him as he talks like he knows what he's talking about. . Maybe he can post a picture of the side in question . I would not take my car here again or recommend this place anymore.
