I can't recommend this shop and Liisa enough. I was in an accident where the other driver was at fault and paid out of pocket and Liisa was so communicative with myself as well as the other party. She was able to get an estimate same day and fixed my car before the estimated time that she had originally quoted. My car looks so incredible and I especially loved the detail at the end. I worked with Lisa at BodyWorks Collision in July when I came in to receive a quote for fender and wheel frame damage to my 2023 Toyota Prius from an eroded gravel drop-off into a parking area. The public works of the city where it happened agreed the public parking area should have been better maintained (as it had undergone previous work earlier for similar drop-off erosion issues).. Lisa and her team assessed the damage and provided a quote, along with communicating the expectation that they wouldn't truly know what was going on until they removed the frame. Because the car is relatively new, I wanted to be sure that genuine Toyota parts would be used in the replacement, which Lisa completely agreed with was the right and best thing to do to ensure quality fit and same materials, etc.. The quote was competitive and fair. Lisa estimated the work would take up to 14 days, and it was completed within 8 or 9 days. Lisa was great about communicating the right amount throughout the repair work. When I picked up my car, they had completely detailed it inside and out of the car at no additional cost (which she had shared was their practice) and the repair was flawless. Wow! I had a great experience here! I was driving down to a work conference in Imperial Beach and along the way both by front and back bumpers were falling off. They had needed some repair for awhile, but they started to become a hazard. I arrived on a Monday evening and was going to leave on a Thursday morning. I was involved in a three car accident in early July in which my 2002 Saturn Vue was rear-ended and pushed into the vehicle in front of me. Being relatively new to Southern California, I had very little knowledge of auto repair shops in the area. At the suggestion of the tow truck driver, I had my car towed to BodyWorks Collisions in Chula Vista (near where the accident happened). Rarely have I been so happy with the service I received. When we arrived at BodyWorks, the owner, Liisa Thomas welcomed me into her office and offered me a drink of water. She paid for the tow, saying she would be reimbursed by the insurance company. I was a little shaken up by the accident, since it was the first one I'd ever been involved in as a driver. Liisa immediately made me feel better with her caring attitude and knowledge of the process. The insurance company ruled my Saturn a total loss. I wanted to keep the vehicle, so I accepted the lower payout and spoke with Liisa about having it repaired. She agreed to make the repairs for a very fair price. Due to the total loss business, I ended up paying some money out of pocket, but not as much as I would have at most shops. When my wife and arrived to pick up the car, I could hardly believe my eyes! It looked better than it had before the accident! In addition to the necessary repairs, the car had also been detailed (inside and out) and the non-damaged headlight had been buffed so that it matched the new one. What a nice surprise to pick up your car from the body shop and find that not only has it been repaired, but also fully detailed. It was washed, vacuumed; every nook and cranny was cleaned! The car has not been that clean since we first purchased it. The new paint job done by Body Works was as shiny as it was when we first purchased the car.
