I have had good work done by Caliber in the past and that is why I took my car to them when it was hit by another (at fault) driver a few weeks ago. His insurance also contract with Caliber and they assured me all would be quick and smooth. Their communication with me and the insurance company was extremely slow and took several calls over three weeks to chase them up. Finally the car was written off by the other driver's insurance and I was told to come down and collect any final things from the car that I might want. When I went to fetch the car I noticed my CC parking sticker was missing, obviously removed in their secured lot. I asked about it and got a very shifty non-answer from the employee. I then followed up twice and was told to leave messages for the general manager who never called me back. They also failed to release the car to salvage which resulted in further delay for my payment from the insurance company. In the past they'd been great, but this was a very substandard experience and I will not use them for any future repairs. read more

Update: Nathan was quick to respond and asked me to bring my car back to fix the issues I had stated in my previous review. So my wife dropped off my car last week. Got it back today(5/19/20), my headlight and car remote issue is all fixed and now all is back to normal! Woohoo!! read more

I just went to caliber and dealt with Gina and Leo. What wonderful people they are, I had an issue with my bumper becoming separated on my car that I use for ridesharing and delivery. Why didn't want to do a complete and total collision repair I needed to put the bumper back together to comply with the inspection standards. I had a small scrape on my bumper so I came it to Caliber Collision to have them take a look at it. I was met at the front desk promptly and was soon introduced to Adam. After a quick evaluation, Adam brought out some touch up paint and dressed up my scratch - - free of charge! Thank you Adam! I went to Caliber to have my bumper repaired after a fender bender, and I'm delighted with the result! Not only does my car look like new, the staff at Caliber was professional, quick, and communicative. They organized my rental vehicle for me, called me a ride, and washed my car when they were finished with the repair. When I went to pick it up, I noticed several small scratches on the side of the car (they had been there prior to bringing it to Caliber, but I didn't realize the extent of the scratches until the car was clean!) The team covered the larger scratches with touch up paint, and sent me home with the leftover paint at no cost. I couldn't be more happy with my experience there! read more

These guys are a joke, they provide the worst quality in town! Most insurance use them because they are the cheapest. You get what you pay for, as the old saying goes. Avoid this shop at all costs. Just because they are your insurance preferred company does not mean you have to use them. Go elsewhere, your insurance company will still pay. read more

My little electric Fiat was new to me when it was hit by a drunk driver. Fortunately my insurance had it towed to Caliber Collision, and from then on, I dealt with Ruben. He was extremely communicative, updating me with regularity by text. They also did me two favors without charging me, going beyond the call of duty. He was clear about exactly what needed to be done, it did take a long time but only a day or two over the original estimate. I never write bad reviews because I feel like you need to give the benefit that someone may be going through something that I am not aware of..... but I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone purely due to the horrible customer service and the people that answer the phone. I have been trying to get my car fix and the insurance referred me to them. Each time the person was rude, not helpful and very snippy. Each time they said they would have to get answers and they would have to get back to me.... NEVER happened. I decided to do the online insurance link to get ahold of someone and after 20 minutes the system could not get me an agent but rest assured someone would call me back.... its been over a week and not one return call. :( So I decided to try and call them again as companies are short staffed and they need some grace. Once again the person that answered the phone was snippy, and gets a negative 5 for customer service skills. I am a single mom with a young child so I need to understand the process of how long I will be without a car - this person could care less to inform me of anything except to snap at me.........DONE......... I called my insurance company immediately to request a new body shop, which they were eager to assist me and send me to Precision Auto Body in Goleta the Good Land. Be vary of this shop unless you like being talked down to and never getting your car fixed. Very dissatisfied. read more

Caliber has done an excellent job for me, four times. That's right, I've had the misfortune of needing repairs on 4 different cars over the past few years. This ranged from fairly minor stuff to lots of front end damage. They are consistently courteous, professional and timely. They keep in contact as and when needed and last time even finished up a day early. FORT WORTH-WESTERN CENTER location. I brought my car in for an estimate, which was completed and emailed to me within an hour or two. I took my car in the next day for repairs and Lincoln and his team made it very quick, easy, and efficient. The car rental desk had me in a rental within minutes. They communicated with me the entire time, advising me of progress through texts, and were very open and transparent. They estimated 4 days and had my car done the very next day (though it was a fairly minor fender/paint scrape issue). They were very mindful of the coVid recommendations and only allowed one customer at a time in the lobby. Caliber has taken care of my car in the past and they have always done a fantastic job, dealt effectively and promptly with my insurance company so that I really didn't have to anything,and had my car finished perfectly when they said they would. Great customer service, right? Yes! But that's not why I'm reviewing them today....I went in today after discovering that my bumper had been partially pulled off, likely because it had scraped against concrete while parking. I didn't have an appointment. Adam looked at the bumper, and asked to have my keys and that I wait inside. Not even 15 minutes later, Adam was back....and he'd fixed my car and then said there was no charge! As far as I'm concerned this is the kind of customer service that really counts! As I wrote above, I've always been Houghton Caliber did a great job. But Adam really went beyond that and as a result, I will never go anywhere else. read more

When I was rear-ended in LA, it had been so long since I'd been in an accident, I had no idea what to do. Luckily, State Farm had Caliber Collision as one of their approved vendors, and it's close to my house. Score! All of the people I encountered were professional, friendly and explained everything well. Also, they kept me up to date on the progress of my repair, which took longer than anyone expected due to U.S. Customs holding a part for my Mini. I got it back today, and the car looks amazing. I went into Caliber with a damaged bumper. Within minutes I was seen to, helped, and Adam Iovino was already working on the car (and gave me a complimentary soda). My car was hit in the Lazy Acres parking lot. No note was left by the person causing the damage. I opened a claim with the my insurance company and made an a appt for an estimate today with Ruben at Caliber Collision. He determined the paint damage could probably be 90% buffed out. 10 minutes later I drove off, my car looked like new and Ruben did not charge me for the service. I was able to call my insurance company and close the claim. If you like to WASTE TIME this is the perfect place to go. I live in Santa Barbara, but go to school during the week in Los Angeles. My car was hit on by school which took out my side view mirror. I had taken my car to this body shop since it was down my street. They quoted me the price and time it would be done and I thought that was a reasonable offer. I was told it would take 2 weeks but it ended up taking 2 months. When I had received my car, after waiting for so long, I noticed that there was overspray all over the right side of the car (the left side was where the damage was) and they basically told me that there was nothing they could do. I had to return to school during the week I had noticed the AC wasn't blowing cold which was odd because it worked perfectly fine before the accident and there was no reason they should have touched the AC unit. When they were confronted about the problems they immediately denied everything. They told me just to take my car to a machanic. Basically they wanted it to be someone else's problem. I found this very unprofessional. If they would have simply been polite and told me they couldn't fix it I wouldn't be in this position. I really hope they aren't talking to other customers the way they treated me. read more

Called today after insurance company set up repairs at this location. The person that answered the phone was not helpful and rather rude with their customer service. I immediately called my insurance agent to explain and cancel service here and will be taking my car somewhere else. The first impression a customer gets is from the first person they speak to at a business so it's best to make sure that person answering the phone is polite, nice and helpful for customers that need your services.
