Not only did they do the oil change, but performed a multi-point inspection, topped all fluids, ran code check, set tire pressure, and even washed the car! The shop staff is very knowledgeable and thorough in their inspections. The quality of work is amazing and quick turnaround times while making sure everything is addressed. They provide a final report of the work completed and things to keep an eye on, which is useful for future service. This most recent visit, I needed an oil change and my window fixed after another mechanic installed and adjusted the regulator incorrectly. They were able to adjust the window and reduce the wind noise substantially. Could have saved lots of money if only we had listened to Jim, the owner! He said he would flush the ATF, put on a new gasket and filter. But .....he advised us to save our money! At same time, I brought in the list of dealer's recommended repairs from its last service and were told one of them was worth doing, the others were fine as-is for at least several months as the wear was not concerning. They worked with a third party engine builder and solved difficult unique issues. Above and beyond... My wife and I were visiting Santa Barbara from the Bay Area. Road trip in my '99 Porsche 911. I noticed that a headlight was out when we arrived in town. Searched for a local Porsche place and found Schneiders. I called and asked if they could replace a headlight bulb for me while I waited. The very nice lady said no problem just stop by. I drove over from where we are staying. They had me pull right up and immediately replaced the lightbulb. Then the tech said why don't I just check them all while your here, there was a parking light out and he replaced it. Then the tech checked all the tires for pressure, checked the oil, and shop vac'd leaves out of the hood are that could have pluged the drain from that area (it had been raining). When I went into the office to pay, they only were billing me for the light bulbs!! Unbelievable service!!! Highly recommend!!! read more

I dropped my Audi off at Schneider Autohaus after I noticed clutch problems. It turned out the whole clutch system/flywheel had to be replaced. I had them perform the repair and I must say, it was a pleasure working with Paula and her team. Needed a place that knows how to properly align my bimmer. Junior at Santa Barbara Tire recommended them because he was booked up with a fleet of taxis. So they dropped it off at Schneider's and I wasn't disappointed. Car drives perfect now and they also told me a few things that need repairs. This is after I tried taking it to BIG BrAND TIRES in Goleta who charged me for an alignment though the car still pulled to the left. They tried to tell me my frame was bent even though my car has never been hit. So if you got a German car, stay away from the $50 alignments, take it to either Schneider's or Santa Barber Tire & Services and get it done right. read more
