Being in a car accident is traumatic, and my situation was especially unique because it happened in Mexico in my own car with a Mexican auto insurance policy (something I was completely unfamiliar with, since it was purchased outside of my usual U.S. coverage). He was getting $150 per day for storage so made an extra $1000 by doing that. He charged the insurance company another $1500 or so to determine its condition and then left it partially disassembled in my driveway. So im driving home from SF for a wedding and decided to take the 101 home. Im just about 2 minutes…read moreinto Goleta, when the car flat out dies. I managed to make into a gas station and start to panic. its 10pm on a Sunday. I had two options at this point, Tow it to LA for $100 then have it repaired or Leave it in Santa Barbara to be repaired and save $100. So I decided to save money, lucky for me I have a few friends in SB and they suggested me to take it to Quality Automotive Repair. AAA had a few recommended shops they endorsed, but my friends said take it Oscar. Monday morning the car was towed to QAR and Oscar went to work. I had to be back in los Angeles for work and kids and let Oscar do his thing. By 3pm he had done a few test and explained ever result he found. What needed to be fixed, how much it would cost and how long it would take. He also made suggestions for the future to help keep the car in better shape. So approved the work and he said the car would be done by tomorrow, barring anything new catastrophic findings. Following day, I was in my car running like I just rolled off the dealership. Taking my car to Quality Automotive Repair was a great choice. PS: I was driving home the other day and noticed that my exhaust pipe wasn't rattling around and driving me nuts. Oscar must of noticed it and fixed it without me knowing. Thanks Oscar!
