I'm so glad I decided to choose these guys for my repairs. Some chick backed into my newly modified 2016 Lexus IS200T in a parking lot, and though I was polite and understanding about it, I was sort of freaked out about the fact that I had just finished all the work I was doing on it, and BAM. Car people will understand.... They did take awhile to get my car in for repairs (about 2 weeks), which I know, SUCKS. But on the other hand, the fact that they're THAT booked and busy should tell you they're worth the wait. Anyway, my man Gary was a total boss. The way he thoroughly described the process and the extent of the damage on my car, trying to put me at ease for this inconvenience made me think he was talking about HIS car. I know it sounds stupid, but so many body shops don't do enough of that nowadays. Treating your car as though it were their own. This is why people panic when they get into a fender bender. Body shops will take your car in for repairs and not only fail to keep you in the loop until the day it's done, but they'll almost deliberately ignore all your phone calls and questions until the work is done. But for the first time in my life, I felt 100% comfortable leaving my prized possession in someone else's care. The work they did was truly top notch quality work, and though my car had already been beautiful, they returned it to me in PRISTINE condition. It was cleaned from the inside out, vacuumed (including the trunk), and even conditioned inside. Not to mention, the paint job they did with the color was completely on-point. For the most part, body repair shops are like lawyers. You hope you're never going to need one, but you're going to be pretty damn glad that they're there when you do. On Sunday, my husband and I went to the movies. Upon parking ,I drove too far up onto the concrete parking barricade and when I reversed to come off, I pulled off the low valance under my car's bumper(Definition=A piece of plastic that can be found in the front or rear of a vehicle, main purpose protection and or air flow) Since I had my car serviced so expertly at Caliber Collison once before. I contacted them and explained my issue with my car. I spoke to Gary who told me to come in on Tuesday, early am. I must say some car repair services are all about the all mighty dollar and try to squeeze whatever funds they can from you, no matter what. On some instances these vehicle repair shops tend to dismiss women and treat them disrespectfully by overcharging and doing what ever they can in order to try and line their pockets financially. But not Caliber collision. I was treated with respect and given added information about my issue with the low valance. Gary repaired my low valance without any type of fee or charge! The side panel of the driver's door fell off. I had a quote from another place and their only choice was to replace it. At Caliber, they offered to change some parts to reattach the original panel saving me hundreds of dollars. I highly recommend Caliber Collision. This used to be Peelers before Image bought them out. Caliber then took over the two Image locations in Spartanburg. I used Image a few years ago and decided to try them again under Caliber. The manager doing the estimate was knowledgeable. He encouraged me to file under insurance and guided me thru the process. They worked seamlessly with my Progressive adjuster. The vehicle needed a new windshield in addition to the front end work. Safelite did the work onsite at Caliber. My car was finished in a week just costing me just the deductible. Terrible customer service! Always had to call to check on vehicle status. Then when it is complete, after 5 weeks, and our insurance company makes them pay for rental, they said everyone including the manager is calling to notify us for a week. Really!!! Took car to caliber on Southport Rd. to get a custom hood replacement that was supposed to take 2 days. On afternoon of day 2 I called to check on progress and found out car had not been touched. Surprise! They were just about to call me to say the work was more involved than originally expected. I had no problem with that. My problem was my car gathering pollen almost 2 days with no phone call. I have used caliber 3 times in the past but not again. There are too many other body shops that does quality work. ALAN D.
