This is apparently the only tea farm in Canada, so as a tea lover I was very excited to visit! This…read moreplace sells over 100 types of imported teas and has a variety of their own grown teas. Since they just recently started harvesting their own teas, it's still pretty expensive for those Canadian tea options. Like way out of my price range, but maybe cool for some people! The imported teas, however, were very reasonably priced I thought, considering a lot of them are organic or rare, or simply just yummy. We sat outside in the back overlooking the meadow area. We got two bowls of matcha $5/ea, the bite size vegan/GF brownie ($3), and yummy Earl Grey Chocolate Cake ($6). It was all very tasty!!!! We both ended up buying the Izu Matcha tea from Japan-- 30g for $13, and 100g for $36 (great deal, actually!). I would recommend this place for a nice afternoon and good place to buy tea... The only downside is that they don't have a "tasting" option (wineries or breweries usually have a "flight" option to drink small quantities of a few types, but they don't do anything like that here. So to taste multiple you'd have to buy a few full small pots, 2 cups in each pot, each for $5).

Victor and Margit with their amazing staff are phenomenal hosts. Always helpful, attentive and appreciative when we visit. The tea selection is truly amazing with such a wide choice available it could be overwhelming but with their guidance we are always happy with our choices. Their dessert menu offers delightful treats with gluten free options as well. I am partial to the Earl Grey Chocolate Cake...it is so yummy. It is a Zen like experience especially on a lovely day as we sit overlooking a meadow, valley, the tea leaves growing on the hill and the figs and raspberries too. I highly recommend the experience....slow down and enjoy the moment with loved ones at this hidden gem in the valley.

I am an avid tea drinker and we have had many years "playing tea" so we were both very excited. It was absolutely perfect. At first I was hesitant bc of the price, but in comparison to the Empress Tearoom, it was a lot less expensive. It truly was worth every penny. The service was top notch, our seat was the best in the room (right by the window), the food was spectacular- fresh and delicious, and the two pots of tea were perfectly brewed. She had a herbal tea, and I had the Royal Abkhazi black tea. After our 80 ish minute tea experience, we walked the beautiful gardens. Wow! I can't say enough about this little gem. If you are in the area, it's definitely worth experiencing.

There is also a trail suitable for wheelchairs and other assistive devices. This is not a really large garden, but very well designed and laid out. The variety of species is fantastic and the flowering blossoms are everywhere. The tea itself is a different story as I'm a bit of a tea snob. There are no menus or choices for sandwiches or type of tea. I found the tea sandwiches to be dry and stale bread. Being a tea snob, I also prefer private seatings instead of 8 strangers at a table all reaching into the same tower of sandwiches for choices you didn't get to make. Non Europeans just don't understand the finer points of tea. This 'European seating' of strangers sharing a table works for western ideas of pubs, not for an afternoon tea. Five stars for the garden. 2 stars for the stale sandwiches and tepid unknown tea with no cozies or leaves strainers or spoons or choices...

No question asked .. solid 5 stars in all aspects …read more. From the tranquil setting to the exquisite pastries, open face sandwiches, organic teas and the outstanding service!! Kudos to the young gentleman who we had the pleasure of dealing with this lovely afternoon .. since it was our first time .. he took the time to explain the menu and made suggestions .. our party of 5 enjoyed immensely and was able to try out a bit of everything! .. after seeing their post on Facebook we decided to take a drive out .. at first we thought we had entered an unauthorized driveway as we had to pass a service road ( unpaved ) .. upon making the last turn we saw a wide open plain with tiny white flowers all over the grounds .. come explore the space and enjoy the organic teas & hand crafted confections ( do try out their Japanese inspired Anko Confections! ) Call ahead if you wanted to reserve specific items as they are all made in-house in a very limited number!

It even said that it's "closed" but really, it was open, but only just for us because we booked the Private Function Room for a bridal shower!! We got to the room and it was like high-tea heaven! They had prepared the room specifically for the shower and it looked spectacular!! I loved every single item we had here- pastries, treats, tea. I loved that everything was organic and made fresh in-house. My favourite would be the orange jelly dessert because I have such a sweet tooth! And my favourite tea is the bubble gum iced tea!! All of the tea was delicious! The wait staff and kitchen staff are so friendly and family-like. They were such amazing hosts. I am definitely coming back again!
