Otherwise, you may spend hours trying to sort out billing discrepancies. Dr. Kaplan, the owner, seems highly focused on collecting payment immediately. In my experience, I received calls and text messages demanding payment before I had even heard back from my insurance company. At one point, follow-up care for a poorly fitting crown that their office had installed appeared to be contingent on immediate payment. The practice also has frequent staff and dentist turnover, and some staff members have been unprofessional. I have stayed with this practice for more than 30 years, largely because I liked one particular dentist and had developed a long-standing relationship with the office. During that time, I never failed to pay a bill, yet I was still being pursued for payment over the July 4th holiday weekend. When I finally received the bill and tried to pay it by phone, I discovered that the office had provided a different balance than the one originally communicated. I ended up spending about 40 minutes on the phone with the business owner trying to reconcile the numbers, only to arrive at the same figure we had started with. I think he even had me confused with other patients because he'd ask me questions like, "haven't we talked about this before?" when we hadn't. or "didn't i prescribe something for that?" when he hadn't. he also made fun of me once for my phobia of needles after blood work in his office after i had previously shared a story of fainting and having a seizure due to blood work in the past. he is also very old fashioned and not up to date with new medical protocols such as proper use of gloves. he waited until after examining my breasts to put gloves on which made me extremely uncomfortable during my first appointment. but i think my least favorite was the fact that he didn't believe me when i talked about my pregnancy and how far along i am which made me weeks late for a first trimester test/ultrasound. i have since left his practice and don't think it's a good idea to see him in the first place.

She had tears in her eyes as she was informing my husband and I what she "thought" was happening. She wasn't even sure if I was miscarriaging! She's lucky that I don't sue her for malpractice. Stay away!! Worst experience of my life. She didn't even help me though the miscarriage...didn't tell me what to expect or how I could feel, just released me and sent me to work. Worst "doctor" ever. Oh don't call her cell phone, beyond unprofessional responses. Lets not forget to mention she's a space cadet, pretty sure her office manager is more competent.
