Today, my current car got a much needed bath/wax - even the Diet Coke stain on the backseat, that I hadn't noticed but they of course did (this is a pattern with me, apparently, getting coke stains on cloth seats . . . ), is gone- poof! - and they were even so kind as to fix my bumper and reattach the slightly "ajar" panel back nice and tight. Mike/Michael (I'm pretty sure his name was) was soooo incredibly helpful!! My car was a disaster, filled with dog hair sitting since quarantine, etc. I also had a dent on the hood that looked awful. Michael went above and beyond and accommodated to my schedule and even picked up my car for the wash (because i work next door to the shop & couldn't come in when he had an earlier appt). Wonderful place to get your car detailed. It's a place that's been around for decades. The entire team on site is very meticulous. This place is a detail shop and not a 5 minute car wash. But your car obviously gets hand washed prior to a thorough detail. I had one of our new vehicles get a full exterior detail to get a sealant put on. Boy did it come out looking great. The entire team took their time. I had to leave the car there for a few hours but that's what I wanted. Someone to take their time on such a delicate process instead of rushing it out the door for volume. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a high end detail. It takes an act of, well, spring time pollen to bring me out of my Yelp hiatus. I yesterday walked out of work to find my yellow-tinged car hosting a party for a few dozen little, green bugs who were chilling on the side mirrors, hood and windshield. Ick! I was not amused. In pure desperation (and with some level of disgust), I on my way home called California Autobuff to see how late they were open. As it turned out, they were closing at that very moment - to be fair, it was already after 6 p.m. I was quite despondent ... so much so that the gentleman on the phone (who turned out to be the owner) told me to swing by anyway. Mercy! A young "buffer" stuck around to do the dirty work, and even the owner jumped in to help the cause. It seemed as though Young Buffer was a newbie, as the owner was standing by giving subtle pointers and instruction. I fully support the education of our youth. The wash wasn't great, but all is forgiven considering they stayed 45 minutes past closing time to rid my life of yellow (pollen) and green (bugs). I'm delighted. As you can see from my profile, I don't write company reviews very often; however, I feel it is important for me to write about my recent experience with California Autobuff (CAB). I performed much research before deciding on a location to take my car for a detailing. While my car wasn't awful, there were some minor stains and spills that I wanted to be cleaned really well (sticky stuff in compartments, etc.). The outside of the car had dirt and bugs on it from my regular long drive to south Georgia (hadn't been washed in a year, probably). I have always been disappointed with spending ~$40 at car detailing locations in the past (never was as clean as I expected). So, I decided to go Premium for $250...but that obviously meant I expected near perfection. I was hesitant, worried I would be upset yet again. I reached out to the owner of CAB and alerted him of the current state of my car and concerns for ensuring that things would really be cleaned (not just wiped down). He assured me they use professional steaming, etc. to get the seats, floor mats, compartments, etc. clean. I went back and forth with owner several times via email and phone - while I know he got annoyed, he was generally professional (and always timely) in helping me with my concerns. I took my car in and pointed out my primary concerns and then went across the street to the bookstore (free internet!). CAB called me about 3 hours later letting me know the car was ready. I am VERY pleased with the results! I am almost certain they just went out and bought a new car and pretended it was mine. =) The outside looks amazing and he cleaned all of the stains inside. The compartments look brand new. He even cleaned the engine and gas cap area! A coworker got in my car yesterday and looked around and said, "is this a rental? This isn't your car." Worth every penny... I was very pleased with the service and results and look forward to going back for regular washes several times per year. read more

I am really torn about the service I received from California Autobuff. I was in need of getting the outside of my car detailed due to some scratches caused from a minor accident. After researching Yelp and a few other review websites, I decided to go with CAB because it seemed like they had a great reputation and could deliver results. Although they were able to buff the majority of scratches out of my car, there were several things that really bothered me about this business: 1. Do not use their website to book your appointment. I booked through the website two weeks in advance of my appointment and called a couple of days before to confirm. They had no record of me ever scheduling an appointment and I was told that their online system was not reliable due to issues with their server and it was better to call. Luckily they were able to fit me in on the day and time that I had originally requested. 2. After showing Mike the scratches on my car, he agreed that he could buff out the minor scratches. I was told that it would cost $200.00 and would take a couple of hours. Since they don't have a waiting area, Mike agreed to use my car to drop me off at the Starbucks in the Peachtree Battle shopping center. Thank goodness he did, because what was supposed to take two hours turned into four hours. At least I was in a place with a restroom and steady supply of snacks and caffeine. 3. Mike finally calls at 12:30 and tells me that my car would be ready at 1:00. Well I sat waiting at Starbucks staring out the window looking for him to pull up in my car. At around 1:20 I call him back to ask if there was a problem as I was still waiting on him, and he responds, "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were going to walk back." Huh???? I don't understand where he got that from. I never said anything about walking and he was using my car to drop me off and pick me up. 4. After he finally picks me up around 1:45, we are driving back to the shop and he asks what's wrong with my brakes. I told him that I hadn't noticed any problems with my car. Mike then turns down the radio, presses on the brakes really hard which makes the car vibrate, and tells me that he wasn't sure if my car was safe to drive. He recommends that I take my car to a mechanic that he is friends with that works in the same complex. I don't think that the sideeye that I gave him could have been any more obvious. I had just had my car serviced the month before with no problems, and my car is less than a year old with maybe 6500 miles on it. Yeah, brake problems my ass! 5. When we get back to his shop I take a look at my car. The scratches are gone, but with as much money as I spent, my car should have been sparkling clean. Instead my car looked dull--the kind of dull that happens when you use the wrong kind of detergent. The $15.00 washes I get a CarSpa make my car look so much better. So would I take my car back to CAB? Nope. I believe that businesses should be operated with honesty and integrity, and I simply refuse to give my hard earned money away to businesses that operate otherwise. If they had not been able to buff the scratches out of my car to my satisfaction, I would have only given them one star. read more

This place is GREAT! They took my (friend's) car immediately upon my arrival and although it really needed a much more intense cleaning/detail, we agreed on a basic wash and vacuum. I wandered around Barnes & Noble for a bit and then came back. They were still working hard and told me they could keep cleaning for another hour because it was so dirty. (We had just been in the country, driving on dirt roads.) They went above and beyond, making the car look amazing! They also worked very quickly, which I really appreciated. Used my groupon today. Even with a groupon, still had to pay another $100 bucks or a couple of scuff marks on my doors wouldn't be cleaned. Net bill of $179 minus $79 from the groupon (which I paid $40 for) and they didn't do the chrome on my door sills. Was dropped off at Marta this morning but they were 20 minutes late at pickup. When I got in the car, the driver said "now you know what we go through every day" about standing outside waiting in the heat. He told me my car wasn't bad, there are much worse. My car looks fine but I wish I walked away feeling better about it than I do. My cost was $140...I sorta feel like that is a lot of money to not feel THRILLED! read more

Simply fantastic. Using my 2003 Element as a true utility vehicle it can get nasty. From gunk in the cup holders to simple dirt and dust in the air vents, an embarrassing occurrence in most people's cars. They hit this car from bumper to bumper and didn't miss a single crack in between. I had been looking for a place all over atlanta. Finally found this place through a friend thy had is 05 Brat detailed and it to looked immaculate. Loved the staff, service, and wash. They have got a client for life! I think Yelp has the address messed up, but not their fault. This is my go to car wash place...Since I have come to california Autobuff I have not gone anywhere else (I drive a benz). The staff is super caring and goes out of there way to make sure you are happy... whether you come here for a car wash or a wax (which I finally did and it looks fabulous, you will be happy you came here... I have always liked the interior detailing they do on my car, but this time I also did the wax and it definitely is worth it! They believe in customer satisfaction and they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. You know you like a place when you drive out of your way to come there even though you probably cross 50 other car washes... Not only were they extremely accommodating of my schedule, the car looks brand new. I was shocked at the obvious effort the the team put in. It was evident that a whole day's worth of quality work went into restoring my car to its former glory. They cleaned every inch of this car with great attention to detail, and walked me through the car afterwards to make sure I was satisfied. In fact, they restored parts of the vehicle I would have never expected them to! Spending a little extra green is worth it with these guys - trust me. You will not be disappointed. Pleasant experience turned into a complete nightmare. I have a Flat Black 2016 BMW 328i that needed some attention. Prior to coming to this shop, I had a a few coatings of Modesta applied to the car last year in Houston, TX. - which included a paint correction. I searched through reviews and landed on California Autobuff. Now, after looking back at the reviews, I'm convinced no one understands anything about the finish of a car and how it should look. I will start by saying that Mike is indeed a great guy and seems to care about his work. Unfortunately, that is where it ends. Mike used a buffer on my car. Since the Modesta application, I have never used any mechanical applications for the exterior - I have done everything by hand (i.e. car washes and waxing). At the time, when I initially saw the buffer I thought - Mike is a good professional guy and knows what he is doing. Because everyone should know. BUFFERS LEAVE SWIRL MARKS. Buffers are especially dangerous if the operator does not know what they are doing. When the job was done and I inspected it around sunset, the car looked perfect at the time. Later that night I parked under a street light, walked around to the hood of my car, and immediately froze with devastation. Swirls. Swirls everywhere. Again, I have never used any mechanical tools on my car - wash or wax - the car still had the "orange peel" effect. Additionally, I noticed that the car looked like it was covered in a hazy residue. It looked like the job was stopped halfway before putting the final coat, or dare I say "buff". So as any obsessive car owner would do, I pulled out the Menzerna Polish in an attempt to try and reconcile a small area of the car. The results were better, but the SWIRLING CUTS from the buffer were deep. I will need to buy a higher cut polish - but my finish may likely never be the same. In hindsight, I should have known better when I saw the buffer. Mike charged $250 for these unlikely unfixable swirls. Since Mike was a nice guy and handled himself professionally I even gave an additional $50 tip. In case you did not want to read the entire review, here is a summary: 1. Choose someplace else - better yet, take the time and learn to do it yourself 2. Go amazon - buy Menzerna products. Thank me later. 3. Never use a buffer on your car 4. If your car is black, do not even think about it. 5. If you really do not care about the exterior of your car, this is a great place. 6. If you like the way swirls look on your finish, this is the place for you. 7. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. 8. Mike is a great guy. (Will update with photos later) read more

This is the 2nd car I have brought in to California Autobuff. My 2008 Lexus came back looking new so I decided to do the same with our 2012 Audi. The detail of care and cleaning is remarkable and it is worth the money to go here if you want your car to look like it did when you first bought it. I had a great experience today at California Autobuff. Mike and his team took special care to buff out a huge scratch on the side of my car and I also got my windows tinted by TJ. The car looks so beautiful now - both the scratch removal service and tinting turned out awesome! Also, I recently had a break in, and Mike noticed there was some leftover glass in the car. Without me asking, he took the initiative to clean the car out completely and organize the loose items I had inside for free! Lastly, it was pouring raining and I'd gone across the street to Barnes and Nobles and Starbucks. Mike came to pick me up so that I wouldn't have to walk back over in the rain. The team at California Autobuff is fantastic. Their friendliness is only outdone by their workmanship. I drive a 2019 Honda Insight, which has less 5k miles on it. So it's pretty much new. Somehow I got a hairline scratch on my door and although it may have been minor, it still drove me crazy for weeks. I finally decided to go ahead and see if it could be removed for my mental health's sake lol. California Autobuff had great reviews online, so I drove in and they quoted me an even lower price then what was discussed over the phone. Not only that, they found other scratches that I didn't even notice myself. In the end I got a full car wash and the scratches were all GONE! This team at California Autobuff is amazing! I bought a driven Lexus GS 350... love it. My car was swiped by a metal motorized gate and it left an ugly mark. There were already scratches on the car but the gate swipe was unbearable to look at... especially on a red car.I took my car to these guys to make my car look whole again, and not only did they completely remove the smudges, but touched up some other scratches, cleaned the interior, waxed the vehicle, shined up the headlights at a great price. I think they also turbo charged it! Just kiddin about that one... ;) but there will be no other hands touching my vehicle than this team. Ok, let's be clear here. Kids are messy period. I've been nannying for the past three years and have more stains than you could imagine ( fabric seats and all). Well, these guys are the very definition of "going the extra mile"! They were professional, organized, friendly and their hard work was evident as I hardly recognized my clean car! You would be making an error not to bring your car here. The only thing I would suggest, is to bring a good book if you don't live near by. These guys take their time, but believe me, it's worth it. Oh, one last thing, the seats will be a little damp from the cleaning when you pick your car up so be sure to wear something you don't mind getting a little damp (assuming you have cloth seats). I highly recommend California Autobuff. I've taken two older cars to them for exterior detail. The first one my wife asked if I'd had the car repainted when I drove it home. It was a white single stage paint with no clearcoat, not very common to find these days. Anyway, they did an exceptional job. The 2nd car, again Mike did a fantastic job on original paint that had been neglected for years, looked like a different car compared to when I dropped it off. Also, I had budgeted around $800 in my mind to eventually have the wheels refinished as they were quite grimy and had not responded to my usual wheel cleaners. Tops to California Autobuff! Convenient to Buckhead, where I live and work. And they did a phenomenal job making my 5yo car look brand new. Both inside and out, the car is spotless. The paint glows with a buttery feel. The interior is crisp and welcoming like a new car. The only thing missing is that new-car smell. They even managed to de-grime my rims and they cleaned up everything under the hood, a place I've otherwise never personally inspected. Super duper job and worth every penny.
