Well, when they switched names from Schools Financial Credit Union to now SchoolsFirst Federal CC, somehow my long-time membership status disappeared! I tried to get it back, but they said b/c my husband's the primary on our joint account (even though I was the one who introduced him to Schools back when we first got together), so only his seniority here counts. So weird. No real difference I guess. Their rates aren't actually very good if you're chasing CDs or Savings account interest rates. However, b/c they still have physical locations, and we do get our certain funds deposited here faster (i.e. the funds show up a day or two earlier or so), we maintain our membership, but SchoolsFirst sadly doesn't have competitive rates. This location is spacious and most of the staff are ok, but I prefer the newer Crocker location much more b/c the staff there are friendlier. This location also tends to have less goodies (such as on member appreciation days) for kiddos and as a parent, that makes a difference, haha... Also, there's now a need for an armed security guard at this location even though it's literally across the street from the Sac PD, so apparently safety is also an issue here. Overall, it's ok, but not the best location.
