I am very upset with the events that has taken place with one of your vendors at 8500 Thomas Dr. i rented an 8 seater golf cart in good faith only to be accused of running over curbs on Spygrass Dr (which there are not any) and tearing the rear end out of the golf cart. The cart was not running right to begin with but due to the fact i had never driven that particular cart i thought it was just me! I drove it from the Thomas St location back to our rental house at 5113 Beach Rd and then to Wonder World and back to house. It was then driven up Thomas St and back to the house. The next morning i proceeded to go find other family members in the other cart we had rented and as i got to the end of Spygrass Dr i put it in reverse and backed up and then in forward and pulled up and had to back up again and then put back in forward and at that point it would not move. A man working on the house at the end of the street called the number on the cart and proceeded to tell them what was happening and they hug up on him. I tried calling them 15 more times and never could get the calls to go through. We finally called another number and told them what had happened and they sent someone to pick it up. Charlie J called someone and they told him he would need to speak to someone else and that person would call him back. He asked me to come back 30 minutes to an hour. This was around 10:30. We were in town for a family vacation and to watch my great nephew play in the 9U World Series baseball tournament. We had to be back at the ball field at 3 so i waited until 1 to go back by and i was then told he still had not heard from anyone. While at the ballgame i received a text with a bill for $2650 attached. After the game i go back to see Charlie J and he tells me that me or someone stripped the gears on the golf cart! I told him that golf carts do not have gears to be shifted manually!!! He then hands me a card and told me to call or go to the location at 292 Powell Adam's Road. I go to that location, we waited for some blonde to show up and she walks in, never stays a word to any of us, grabs my rental agreement and walks back out the door. We are still waiting and she comes back in, still never acknowledged us, goes to a computer gets on the phone with someone and continued with phone conversation trying to locate GPS footage to prove to me that we tore the rear end out of this golf cart. We went with this for 5-10 minutes and then wanted my email address so they could email me the footage the next day! I threw the marker on the counter and it hit her in the face and things went from bad to worse! All i wanted was my $150 deposit back and some of the rental back and all i got was a bill for $2650 that i will not be paying! This company needs to be shut down! They are bad for your town! I left today 6/22/25 with a very unhappy visit to Panama City Beach. I will be contacting an attorney and file a civil lawsuit against them and try to get the others they have done the same thing to to file with me. Rented a golf cart from 6:30pm to 10am the next day. $100 for the rental. 12 year old son and I drove a couple miles on the beach road. Turn it in and was told the lamp light was missing. In all honesty, it was but it was not securely attached in my opinion and fell off due to the bumpy road. Was charged my deposit of $100. Attached are the pics of the missing light and what the light looks like on another golf cart. Seems like their secondary business is trying to get the deposit from you. I have mixed feeling about this shop but overall a good experience. Initially, there is young black guy who is extremely personable that could easily convince you to rent from them. He does not make any decisions about the price, instead he refers you to the guy inside the shop. They advertise scooters for $25 a day or two dollars an hour. However, they do not have any single seat scooters which are the ones that are $25 a day. The double seat scooter is the one that's 2$ an hour. The prices are extremely negotiable which was offputtingly convenient. You can clearly tell they mark up the price just to lower it to make you feel like you're getting a deal. My group and I end up purchasing multiple double seat scooters which is all they had available for scooters. We were able to get the rental all day until 7 PM for $35. You also have to pay a $100 deposit - which is refundable if there is no damage to your scooter. The scooters had a full tank of gas and for the most part ran OK. There was a few times where we had issues cranking them up but eventually they started. Upon return it is expected that although the gas tank is full that you fill it back up to the line in the gas tank. So you need to open the gas tank to see and fill it up to the line. I also found it interesting that the personable guy did not do any of the inspections when the bike was returned. Then inspection was done by the guy inside and he was very detailed. But in the end we did get our deposit back. Overall the quality and the service was good, but the business practice was very shady. I think I got lucky it worked out for us. read more

The only reason this got one star was for the slingshot, which didn't run great either. Service was horrible. I was first told my appointment would be at 10 then was moved to one. Upon arriving I was told they gave me the wrong address(there are multiple locations btw). Then when I got to the second location at 1, they told me I had to wait until 2 for mechanical issues. Even though the slingshot was a 2020. They don't take care of their vehicles, they aren't organized at all, and customer service was trash. When my wife and I got to pcb I told her tomorrow were renting something. We went to 3 different spots and spoke to the guys about what we were looking to do and the first two were sketchy and the rentals didnt didnt look so hot , but this place was awsome from the time we pulled up from the time we dropped the bike and golf cart back off. Bryce and Jerry were the most awsome guys to talk to around here. They sure did know how to make you feel at home. And there wasn't any issues with returning or renting. Should have a "scams r us" sign...my son & two of his buddies rented motorcycles from this place and was told two of them were damaged when they were returned, refusing to give them their $200 (each) deposits back! If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. The owner charged me an extra $100 plus my $100 deposit for a couple of scratches that were there before I rented it. After showing him the pictures that I took of the scratches before I rode off on the mediocre moped, he said that I was wrong. He also blamed me for breaking off of the right mirror even though it was already missing. I caved in and gave him the other $100. I will not ever come back and I would take my business a couple of blocks to any other rental place. PS: The service is awful. The guys were smoking in the rental shop and the other one was playing explicit Lil Wayne rap songs and talking about "Titty Tuesday" which is apparently the day when lap dances are half price. When I looked at my credit card,they never refunded the deposit, so they took $369 out of my account for a chip so small you could color it wth a sharpie. When I called to try to resolve this, the manager promised to check into this, but never did. I talked to him 3 time. Talked to a different manager, left may name. Talked to several rude employees. We were here in August and rented from these guys at a different location, and had a super time!!! I was lucky enough to get Panama City Beach added to my schedule, and what better way to get to work than in a California Cycle coupe car (I call then kiddie cars out of fondness!)! I paid my deposit no problems, Chase thoroughly checked out my little coupe, and off I toodled! Now if you are looking for a luxury ride with AC, bose sound, air shocks, this ain't the ride for you. But if you are looking for some fun, salt wind in your hair, beach kind of fun day, this is for you!!! I returned the coupe as promised, and my deposit was given back, no issues. We wanted to rent a specific motorcycle so we called ahead. We were told that they have them and quoted a price. Once we got to one of their other locations we were told they dont rent those anymore but they had something like it at their other location. We went there and the woman that greeted us wasnt sure if they had the model we were looking for. When she asked a kid on the phone he claimed that they had "just rented it out" and that he had called their other location that had one and they had rented it out too. He offered to let us rent a slingshot but at that point it was obvious that he was lying to us and we wanted nothing to do with this place. SCAM. Do not go to this place, i paid $150 dollars for a golf cart i used it for one day only. When i returned they said i scratched the wheel. They Showed me fake/blurry pics. They kept my $100 deposit and made me pay $20 more cash. They charged me for $75 for the wheel and $45 for the labor. Do not go there, unless you wanna be overcharged. Again do not go this place. Take your own pictures. There is no acceptable wear and tear. There was slight marks on the lower bumper probably due to the fact that the streets in Panama Beach are under repair and full of pot holes. When rented, the vehicle had blemishes, a cracked cowling, twenty six thousand miles, check engine light on, smelled like burning oil, and blew hot air into the passenger compartment through a worn out shift boot. We were happy the engine didn't blow up! The manager had the audacity to charge $100 for the tiniest rough spot on the bumper's matte finish which was designed to be rubbed out with a little emery cloth. Where do I begin.......we are down for Thunder Rally and decide to rent a scooter from California Cycles. One of our party had a motorcycle accident the evening prior to our arrival. Initially they seemed nice enough. We rented the scooter and came back to our rental. The next morning we get ready to leave only to find the scooter no where in sight. After talking with security in site we find that rental scooters were not allowed on the property. We call California Cycles and are told they have it and we are being charged $100 because the tow truck driver had to pick it up. Now they knew some of the places here don't allow rental scooters but said nothing. Then they were gracious enough to offer the same rental back for an additional $140 and even though they didn't call to say that they had the rental, they still kept $100 of the initial $150 deposit. We were also told there was nothing they could do to help us on the rate since they had to pay the tow truck company but wait......the tow truck company is.....wait for it......California Cycles. That's right they came and picked up their own equipment. While waiting for them to finish the paperwork to get it back the same assclown that said he couldn't do anything to help offered another couple a free day or two on a buggy if they rented it right now. Funny how that works.....Here's what I would say about California Cycles......go to the ATM, take out $120, get yourself a lighter and burn $100. You will get more satisfaction. This particular location cares not about customer service not fair business practices but just the bottom line of profit in any manner, shape, or form. They are dishonest and untrustworthy. Don't expect a group committed to making sure you have a great customer experience if you rent here. Don't expect any level of professionalism either. These are a bunch of young guys hustling. They are well aware that certain resorts don't allow scooters parked on site overnight. Not that out of the over 800 resorts you'd expect they'd necessarily know each one but this resort was within 2 miles of their site. And what could it hurt their service levels or the client experience if they said, "hey not every resort or HOA is okay with scooters being parked on site. You should verify with the site but know if you break their rules, we may be called to tow the rental". I suppose some folks wouldn't rent if they knew the whole story. Honesty and clarity are not necessarily in their vocabulary. Case in point, when you call to discuss an issue with the GM and you're told he's out for the day. Drive to the site five minutes later and learn he is in fact there and has been all along. The games aren't worth the hassle. Take your hard earned cash elsewhere. read more

While waiting, someone walked up and said there was damage on my boyfriends bike!! He said it had not been out of his site the whole time and nothing had happened. They never had us review damage prior to renting, never gave us copies for our rental agreement or anything! After them fighting with us for 30 minutes, they charged us $300 for damage and said he can no longer ride the bike. This is NOT the first report of this on this place! They pulled him in and BIG MIKE (Manager) tried to charge him $300 for it. Mike lied, said he talked to the worker and worker denied it was broken. Luckily I pulled in at that time and we had witnesses. He then called worker "again" and worker agreed it was broken and he forgot to write it down. We caught Mike in his scam and he didn't like it! The man behind the counter said it was because the golf cart battery was recharged. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE! I totally agree with Tammy. Rented a golf cart for the kids.....paid 182.75 for the kids from 2 p.m to 10a.m. the next morning. Drove the cart to Pineapple Willy s to eat and the car was going sooo slow didn't think we were going to make it to plug up. Plugged car in for a solid two hours....would not charge. Needless to say was unable to use car all night! Tried calling all numbers listed on hand out several times with no answer .... Even the number listed for issues and problems! NO ANSWER. Keeping in mind a late fee if not back by 10.00a.m. plus being charged an additional fee for not being fully charge when returned! I wanted to let them know the cart was not charging and was unable to use After charging from 6:00 till 9:00 a.m. the next morning we were able to get it back! Went in and explained to manager of this location by Hammer Head Fred's resturant...explained to him the problem and that we were unable to use cart. Pretty much said TUFF STUFF! Rolled his eyes at me when I went in and ask to speak to him. I only wanted a cycle for a couple of hours for the kids to get something out of the money I spent. No such luck in that store.. .... Called another location and got the owner of the California Cycles and left my number. Needless to say never heard. Called her back....she listened to story and brushed me off and said she would call me back. I was in hopes of a good person but as usual no! Never heard a word from anyone....Did not want my money back just something in use for my money spent with them. However, today I received my credit card bill for $182.75..which i am paying...For anyone going to panama city beach.....stay clear. They are very poor business people, rude and only want your money.
