It's taken me awhile…read moreto appreciate all the small features outside of the obvious ones: a beautifully BASALITE decking around the swimming pool, hot tub, bbq area, and new pergola, a new retaining wall that also serves as extra seating, a step-up to our fire pit that seats at least five chairs easily in a private circle, away from the bigger pool area, that matches the decking, a French drain and a pondless waterfall where I often find my "workaholic" husband sitting with his cup of coffee in the morning. Several weeks ago, I looked out our tiny bathroom window and admired the long stretch of beautifully-stamped concrete that I had forgotten Jerod had suggested. Everyday I see the hummingbirds enjoying all the beautiful butterfly, bee and bird attracting flowers. We are not the only ones enjoying our new backyard. Since Jerod (JB's Landscaping) finished, we've hosted my husband's wrestling reunion, our daughter's baby shower, a family gathering, and a hockey Meet-and-Greet in our used-to-be small, 50-year old home. I can't wait to plant in my over-sized raised garden bed tucked away for quiet mornings. I love all the subtle lighting that "Jerod" suggested. This is what I miss the most: Jerod's enthusiasm, his 80's music, his creativity and his 25-plus years of experience. His problem-solving. His quiet demeanor. His self-sufficiency. His neatness and organization. His resourcefulness (he found 2 Japanese maple trees that someone had thrown out on the street and today they're thriving in our backyard). His "texturing" by adding big boulders with "personalities". Thank you, Jerod, for a job well done. We love our backyard. Some days, there are no words. He was polite and contacted me a head of the appointment to let me know he would be a little late. Nice common courtesy I appreciate. While he was here I asked him if he did sprinkler repair and explained that after a storm took our fence down we cut through an irrigation pipe and had to do an emergency cap on the pipe. Since that day our sprinklers never worked. Edwin went on a mission to perform a quick fix and discovered that some additional valves were shut off and with in a few minutes had our front and back yard sprinklers watering again. I am so stoked on this! I have not payed to use his services yet but I will be doing so. Guaranteed. We will probably take him up on the offer for weekly up maintenance as well. Thanks Dude.

When I first asked him for the quote, he said 3000 to redo everything including sprinkler systems and new grasses. Thereby I asked him if he could do the sprinkler system only then shall it be 1500. He said let he stop by and would give me an exactly quote. He came by and checked out my front yard. He never actually gave me a quote, he told me to pay me as the amount I feel comfortable with. After the work has almost done, he started texting off the track which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I did let him know and he did apologize. All we texted was work but he kept asking me out. We met up at the Starbucks to discuss the payment. Once again he told me to pay me as much as I feel comfortable. So I said 500.00, he said okay. I wired transferred to him right at the spot. He did verify that he got it. Couple days later I got a notification from my bank,stating that Edwin has not accepted the payment. I contacted him immediately and instead of talking straight about it. He tried to set up a date with me which I rejected immediately. He then said "to keep the money" and finished the conversation. Now he texted me and said I owed him money and he wanted me to pay at least 800.00 in CASH for the job he didn't finish right. I do not feel secure of seeing this guy around my house. I have reported it to the Tracy police as well as letting my neighbors know about the situations. In the bottom line, Edwin has 12 days to accept the wire transfer that my bank has been sending to him. After that the amount will get disputed and I will not offer him anything else. Further questions or concerns, we shall meet at the court. All text messages have been submitted to the police as a part of the claim submitting. I hate to do this but he is just getting so weird. Just be aware of this guy for your future reference.
