She was very nice and friendly over the phone. She explained the expectations for my consultation and made me feel very at ease. My consultation was scheduled a month away but was placed on a waiting list and was seen sooner. After meeting Dr. Hardesty (virtually), I was impressed by the amount of information he provided me with. This was my 2nd surgeon consultation. He was very detailed on the process. Mind you, I was removing my implants due to weird symptoms I was experiencing related to BII. He was very supportive and wasn't shocked as to the reason. He made me feel very comfortable about my decision. After my consultation, I was able to schedule my surgery with Elizabeth right after. Surgery was about a month and a half later. The surgery center is right next to his office. On surgery day, I was very nervous and with mixed emotions. I met the anesthesiologist and Dr. Hardesty before entering the OR. Dr. Hardesty offered to say a quick prayer before surgery, which made me feel VERY at ease! Surgery was about 3 1/2 hours, it was longer than expected. The nurses there were super nice and attentive. My recovery was not easy! You need some help at home for the first week. The drains are no joke. I didn't have drains for my BA so I didn't expect for these to be an issue. They make recovery so much harder. And when they are removed, man, that's not fun. Besides all the complications, Dr. Hardesty was beside me all the time. All his patients have his cell phone number in case of an emergency, which I had to use on a weekend. He's very caring and kind. Thought-out my recovery, I had to visit his office in Riverside numerous times. From his front desk to his PA, they are all very friendly, kind and accommodating. His nurse, Narsel, is amazing. She's super energetic, uplifting, and knowledgeable. She made every visit enjoyable regarding the circumstances. Kelsey Sandoval, PA-C is very attentive and kind. It's been 6-weeks since surgery. And after reviewing other reviews as far back as 2021...I see it's been a problem for others previously as well (regarding stitches that weren't removed properly by staff). Ironically, this place was highly recommended, which made this experience even more disappointing. The doctor lacked bedside manners. He claims that he spent a lot of time with the patient, but that's not true and he can go back and check his time stamps, dates on appointments, or CCTV if he has one. On our first consultation appointment, he was kind of offstandish and rude to me as I was trying to inquire about things to expect post op. After he cut me off because he was assuming what I was going to ask, I responded and said that I wasn't going to ask what he assumed I was going to ask. At the next appointment, it was the procedure day, and that took a little more time since it was the day of the procedure. At the final appointment, the post op appointment, we were in the waiting room for about an hour after our scheduled time, which is ok. The stitch removal took about 2-5 mins, and another 2-5 minutes before the doctor came in. He didn't double-check the stitches, but rather just informed us that the skin sent to the lab was not cancerous and reminded us of aftercare, and we left. So, nowhere did he spend a lot of time with us, so that's a lie. Although he spoke with his team, still no accountability or apologies. I don't care to speak with this doctor or the office any further, and none of the reviews will be removed. What's crazier is he keeps responding. Only now that these comments and experiences are made public. But this was not how he was on the phone brushing me off and being dismissive. Would he still be this way if it wasn't public? Seems like he's talking more to the public in third person. I reached out via internet inquiry box from his website. Then contacted the office a few days later. He was not kind on the phone. No one told him to call me while he was mid-surgery. After being dismissive, I decided to leave a review. He actually ONLY reached out after the damage was already done customer service wise. Would he have reached out genuinely otherwise? Absolutely not. Why would I want to further personally interact?

I can't recommend this practice enough…read more I was an out-of-state patient, and from the very beginning, they made the entire process feel seamless. We were able to do FaceTime consultations along with in-person appointments, which made planning everything so much easier. They also worked with me on financing, which I really appreciated. The office itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Every time I walked in, I felt comfortable and taken care of. The staff is incredibly kind and supportive, and you can tell they genuinely care about their patients. It's worth noting that he is a busy surgeon, so you do need to be patient with scheduling -- but in my opinion, that speaks to how in-demand and trusted he is. One thing that really stood out to me was the environment of the office. It has a strong faith-based presence, and while I'm not personally religious, I found it surprisingly comforting. I was told that during the building process, he would come in and write scripture within the structure of the office, which I thought was such a meaningful and intentional touch. On the day of surgery, I was understandably nervous, but the entire team made me feel at ease. The anesthesiologist was absolutely hilarious and helped lighten the mood right away. Right before surgery, the doctor asked if I would like him to pray with me. Even though I'm not religious, I said yes -- and it ended up being a really grounding, calming moment that I genuinely appreciated. Summary: I regret…read morechoosing Dr Ku to perform my tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and two separate arm lifts (bracheoplasty). I definitely don't recommend Dr Ku for those procedures. I'm unhappy with the results, detailed below. Details: First in 2022, I had a tummy tuck and an arm lift, both during the same surgery. Tummy Tuck Results: The left and right sides of my stomach didn't match. The stitches were tighter on the left end of the incision, creating a muffin-top effect only on that side. Arm Lift Results: My arms didn't match either. My left arm was itself unevenly proportioned, and it was larger than the right arm. (See photos) At post-op visits, I mentioned these concerns. Dr. Ku repeatedly responded by saying "the body is not naturally symmetrical". I felt like I was being dismissed. In my opinion, it's fair to expect matching arms after plastic surgery. If I were getting breast augmentation, I would absolutely expect my left and right breasts to reasonably match. I expected my arms to reasonably match. About a year later, I paid Dr Ku for a revision surgery. I had another arm lift. And I had abdominal liposuction to blend and smooth things out. The results: My arms still don't match. Also, the second surgery created a new fold on the back of my left arm near the armpit. Dr. Ku said the section had been "over-tightened". (See photo) Worst of all, now I have a very noticeable dog ear on my right elbow. A dog ear is an excess of skin and fatty tissue that pokes out at the end of the stitches. It's very embarrassing to me, I feel like it calls more attention to the scar. (See photos) Dr Ku said that in order to correct the dog ear, he will have to extend the scar further down past my elbow. So that would mean no chance of hiding the scar under short sleeves, which is very upsetting. First, he estimated that he could do the dog ear correction under a local anesthetic for a "few hundred". Later, after he saw the fold on my other arm, he said it would be fully another revision surgery. Well, I just couldn't afford a third surgery at that time. Call me crazy, but I had not anticipated needing two revision surgeries. I asked for an extension on his revision price policy, but Dr Ku said no. I could not understand the issue with giving me more time. We were already two years into this. I had been very patient with him! And I had tried so hard to stay positive! The whole situation felt very unfair to me at that point. I realized it was a bad idea to consider a third surgery with Dr. Ku. I was just blinded by the revision price. Fast forward to now: I seriously regret the arm lifts. Now, my arms are scarred, plus they don't match. I've been wearing long sleeves for three years, even in triple degree summer heat waves. I'm just so embarrassed. And I don't even know when I can afford another surgeon. I wasted so much money, time, risk, stress. Don't risk throwing away your dream surgery. Just choose another surgeon. Two stars because the staff is great, and the facility is nice. I felt safe having surgery there.

I began hormone replacement therapy (HRT) through the wellness side of Li Surgery in November, with a scheduled follow-up in February for pellet reinsertion. In January, I also enrolled in an additional 3-month program, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for the same February date. On the day of my appointment, I received a call informing me that the wellness center was closing effective immediately. This left me scrambling to find a new HRT provider, which is already a stressful and time-sensitive process. I reached out regarding a refund for the 3-month program I had just started in January. After multiple emails and calls with no response, I was eventually told I would not receive a refund because I had received medication. However, I was only provided a 30-day vial for what was supposed to be a 90-day program. I did not receive additional refills, nor did I receive the follow-up visits that were included in the program services that were canceled by the clinic, not by me. Additionally, the original flyer clearly stated that if the treatment was not a good fit or did not work, a full refund would be issued. Despite this, I have still not received any refund or resolution. Prior to this situation, my experience was positive, staff were friendly and the clinic appeared professional. Unfortunately, the way this closure and billing issue have been handled has been extremely disappointing and has left me without both care and accountability. I hope the office takes responsibility and works toward a fair resolution.

When she mentioned that my information was not on file, I explained that I was calling because I was a new patient. She responded by saying, "Well, you should've said that before." At that point, I expressed that I felt she was being rude and unprofessional and simply asked for the referral doctor's phone number instead. She then hung up on me. It's unfortunate that someone seeking medical help would be treated this way. Patients should be treated with patience, professionalism, and respect, especially during their first interaction with a medical office. Hanging up on a patient and making them feel mocked or dismissed is unacceptable.
