CALIFORNIA HOT SAUCE SOLUTIONS has won multiple awards for their outstanding line of spicy concoctions and is definitely in our sweet spot. there's a "tasting bar" where you can try samples from their enormous hot sauce selection. our hostess (for one visit) and our host (for another) were extremely patient, helpful, and informative. love the open kitchen where you can see them cooking, bottling, and labeling today's batch. all five sons got a dozen hot sauces curated by their dad for Christmas and have been back multiple times since so they can sample and choose their own favorites. the photo's a special collection for the kid who's a sophomore at Cal Poly Humboldt. lots of fun. great place to get your burn on. read more

It was so great to check out this Hot Sauce Shop (psst-they serve some of the most delicious ginger beer I've ever had!) Georgy greeted happily greeted us in and was very informative on the variety of hot sauces being offered. He even offered to make a batch as we drank some of the home-made ginger beer. We tasted a whole bunch of flavors and he shared stories about a few of the brands and their owners. This place of course has sauces from all over. It was explained to me that they rep a bunch of small batch makers from the state, so THAT's cool. So if you need a solution for not having a sauce, then this is your place. But what if you also need a solution for needing to have your own sauce bottled? Well, look no further because they do that too. Oddly enough, I make my own hot sauce and have looked for a bottler who does very small batch and they just don't exist. Well, they didn't exist until now... So, if you happen to be in the niche market of needing your sauce bottled, stop on by and see what they can do for you. But if you are a hot sauce junky then you absolutely need to check them out and their TONS of different sauces. I knew that they sold hot sauce, but I didn't realize that they: 1) Make and bottle their own hot sauce on site - you can see them at work in the back behind glass. 2) Will give you tastings of soooo many options that they have available. Service was amazing, we really were catered to our whole visit and it was awesome. We learned all about the sauces, the process, and got to taste them.
