Another dinner at Best Pizza because I wanted a spot to watch the Padres win (yes, at least this one game vs. Dodgers). I love their pesto goat cheese pizza ans must remember that maybe getting two slices with my beer would be a good idea. I also LOVE their house salad. We came here before and really liked the vibe. We initially wanted to go to The Privateer, but it was super busy, we head on over here and it was super busy too but had seating. We ordered some wings, Caesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. It was all good, except the pizza took quite awhile to come, like over 40 minutes... so just be prepared if it's busy to wait a long time for your pizza. Taste and vibe are there. Had lunch here today. Ordered the Wagyu bacon cheeseburger and two 12" pizzas. The meatball parm and burrata and hot honey. These are my two favorites from BP&B. Great pizza at a relaxing location. I showed up here with a group of friends and it was very easy to find seating for us all. We ordered our food and it was all brought in good time, we got pizza, sandwiches, wings and a salad. Everyone loved what they got and I was really surprised with how good everything tasted. This is my first gf pizza in SD! I am gluten free and can't really have too much dairy either so it is wonderful that this place has not only gf crust but vegan cheese! I got the buffalo chicken- and it was literally the best pizza. The gluten free crust wasn't anything special- it's exactly what you think of when you hear gf crust- thin, and burned on the edges. I am now using them to cater meetings at work and the staff love the pizza and salads! They no longer have the Mac and cheese I used to love but I'm hooked on the garlic knots! Last night my wife and I went down there to have a chicken salad and a pizza. They were very busy but everyone there was so pleasant and took time to listen to us and accommodated every request that I had. The chicken salad was about $20 and it was off the charts good the best flavor and most tender chicken that I have ever had. The chicken was nice and warm too. The pizza was very good although I think next time I think I'll get mine just a little bit more well done. The attention that we got at our table waitstaff after White staff after waitstaff was absolutely fantastic. They made us feel like we were the only customers there. I came back and tried their thicker, Detroit-style crust pizza with burrata and sausage (no hot honey) and thought it was delicious. I would get that every time, it's just the right amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings on top of a thick, but not dense and super crispy crust with just the right amount of grease. The name of this place nails how the food here tastes. It was our last night in town and honestly I didn't feel like cooking so we decided to give the pizza here a try and I'm so glad we did. Not only does this place cater to your four legged friends but they have some of the best pizza in the planet. The sauce alone takes on a zesty flavor of it's own. It's a little spicy but at the same time not overly spicy toppings ratio was perfect and nicely cooked in a wood oven. The best way to describe the house salad was very similar to a Waldorf salad. Leafy greens. Julianne slices of apple, blue cheese, raisins and hopefully not peacans because I'm highly allergic but we did pick out the nuts since we weren't sure what nut we were dealing with. Our server was really nice and we sat outside since we had our two dogs with us. They do have a menu for dog meals for your dog to eat and tons of iced cold beers on draft to drink. This place is definitely with more than just a 5 star review it deserves a perfect 10 and I honestly don't ever find myself saying that about any of the businesses that I review but I can about this place. Honestly if I still lived in Southern California this would be my go to pizza place it would definitely be worth the 2 hour drive from L.A. so everyone you have to get down to Oceanside to try this place is promise you won't be sorry. They've a side patio and picnic tables/benches that are away from the building for alternative seating areas. So you've got lots of options. We like the sausage with hot honey pizza. To drink I'll get something like the sexy pineapple. They've got good pours here. On occasion we get the order to go but it's always nice to sit and have it right after it's been freshly made. I appreciate their house salad from time to time. We've been to the Esco and Vista location as well. Being from out of town I looked on Yelp for some pictures and advice for good pizza in Oceanside. We wanted take-out so nothing too far from our oceanside condo. I found good reviews for Best Pizza & Brew. This was for a Wednesday night. Holy cow! The line to get into the restaurant winded outside and around the seating area. It was a real puzzle as where to go. The inside was packed. There was no clear description as to where to pick-up orders so I cut the line and wandered the restaurant a bit. A few patrons told me to get to the back of the line. HA! I am from out of town and no one knows me so I kept wandering. I thought if I had to wait in that line for pick-up, I wasn't getting my pizza until it was 8 hours old. I asked a very busy waiter where to go for pick-up. He told me to go to the the bar. A sign would be nice. My only negative comment is that they need a sign for pick-up area. It would help newbies like me. If there was a sign, I did not see it. The food was excellent! Great pizza, a bit pricey but worth it. While I was waiting at the bar I saw a sign for pizza at $5 slice and beer and wine at $5 a glass. For pizza this good that is an excellent deal.
