I've been coming here for over a year to purchase their ranchera preparada, pollo para asar, and the necessities for our carne asadas (avocado, onions, tomatoes, corn, dry pinto beans, chiles) and their service is great. I also love purcashing the pantry staples they carry that I wouldn't find at stater bros or target too. Just last month when I had to purchase close to 22-24 lbs of meat for a party, i just purchased the day before and they were able to get me out the door quickly despite the big request. I got a lot of positive feedback from family and friends how delicious the carne and chicken was. Excellent spot to get some spicy shrimp tacos. The fish tacos were okay, but the shrimp tacos were excellent. It rang up to 55 dollars. That's actually robbery and I can't believe a "local market" is trying to rob our community by up charging for everything. It is not The place is pretty small, with a few different sections, Coolers line the walls from the side to the back and and the other side. There is a Carnenceria, Small produce section, a check out area, a Taco/Burrito stand and a section for Horchatas and Fresca's The food kitchen looked the best, it was clean and organized with bright LCD video menus. It was an Ok Carnicera. Prices were higher than average. They have some of the Hispanic staples, but not all. They sell hot food to go and had pan dulce, precooked cooked beans/rice & salsas and guacamole. Tortillas were by the carnicera, which I never understand why they put the most bought items in a busy section, there were people in line ordering meat and you can't get through or even look at the types/brands of tortillas you want. Disorganized. The service wasn't that friendly, they didn't greet us or smile just looked mad being there working, but didn't have a problem taking our money. Stopped to grab some take home salsa and the team was friendly and helpful. I appreciated them answering some questions on product and grab couple more items based on their helpfulness. I grabbed a Carne asada burrito and that team was also friendly and helpful. Burrito is big! But the taste was not what I thought it should be. Burrito was so salty that I couldn't eat it. Also the carne was in tiny tiny pieces and shredded. Not sure if it was overcooked or wrong cut of meat but it was not steak pieces im used to. " Transa a la Raza" We went to this store today to go buy some meat for a BBQ, my husband went to the butcher and ask for a certain type of meat, he ordered 4.5 lbs, but when we got home he notice that there where two different types of meat in his bag the one we ordered and a cheap looking one, feeling cheated, we also got a coconut and the price underneath the coconut clearly had the price of 1.97 and they told him sorry that is not the price of the time of purchase and they would not honor the price, not fighting over cents, it's the principle, people do not like to feel cheated, the people working in this establishment need to be more careful with their customers, take care of them, not cool to loose business for Ludacris things like this. It is very overpriced at this small market. I do not recommend shopping here. You'll get more for your buck by going to Winco which is not too far. I bought a queso fresco and it was almost 7$ !!!
