The crispy beef taco was good size and nice and crunchy. The meat could have been a bit more seasoned. The salsa was okay, I like mine with more spice and flavor but I know it's good for others. I used to love this place a few years ago. Now it's gone very down hill. Service is horrible. They forget about you, forget to bring your food, forget your refills. The food has lost all it's flavor. We used to come in several times with groups and bring our friends, we also used to come just for drinks beer and margaritas and chips and salsa. Been coming to this location since I was a teenager, and now my husband and I love coming here for lunch on Fridays. The prices are pretty fair for what you get, and it's a great spot to enjoy a couple of margaritas together. She's incredibly attentive and makes the whole dining experience that much better. What really impressed me about this place, though, was how they handled a mistake. They once messed up my order, which can happen anywhere, but it's how they fixed it that mattered. Because I had to drive back to pick up the correct items, they went ahead and gave me extra food to make up for the inconvenience. That kind of customer service is rare and really shows they care about their patrons. When I came to leave my review, I was surprised at the overall medium score. So I went and scanned the Reviews with scores of 1,2, 4 or 5. Almost all the 1"s or two's were from 2023 and 2024. I've been meaning to leave a review for awhile because this place never misses! Amazing food, amazing service. It's consistently good and has been for years. We order a lot from them through grub hub and the order is always correct/neatly packed and timely. Who ever packs the to go order is very on top of it and thoughtful. They put a lil differential piece of food on each burrito to let you know what's inside. Example: a fry for Cali burrito. I was going to eat at this place But I was using their restroom facilities. When coming in contact sitting on the commode. The commode seat almost made me fall on the floor. The seat cover was so non working. It could really hurt somebody. I approach the hosted. She stated that she a nobody. No concern or apologies. She said the manger on her lunch. I asked for the owner. He wasn't available. He wasn't in the establishment. . Then kid came over and had an attitude with me. He said he was just the dishwasher. The real dishwasher came and talk to me. They all seem to try to cover up what could happen if somebody serious hurt themselves from sitting on the broken seat cover. They showed no remorse or apologies from what could be serious law suit if they didn't do fix it. This is a place of business. They just wanted make excuses and give me the run around. Large menu with lots of options including breakfast all day.. the service was also great as many reviews mentioned. Had the same taco salad that I have every week....The lettuce was dripping in water, ran into the shell that became mush and had to look to find the shredded beef. Chips were horrible, not like used to be, not home made as in the past., thick and cold and sauce was tomato paste of soup out of a can. This place has really fallen down and was always a favorite place to take friends and family. No longer the same quality. Too bad and even with the owner now in presence not same food. Every other items was sub-par - ground beef had zero flavor; tamale was gushy and inside looked like green baby food; enchilada sauce was uninspiring; Cadillac margarita was too strong without enough ice to tamp down the intense drink. We told our waiter about the issues. He could see I'd only eaten a bite from each item except the rice and beans, but he walked away and promptly returned with the bill. They didn't care. $80 for bad Mexican food and a hungry belly. They'll care when people stop eating there.
