I have been coming here since I was a teenager back in 2010. My papa who has passed we used to share a carne asada burrito. Still that's what I order and that makes me think of him. And guess what, the burrito still tastes the same! Quality is consistent which I love. And their Mexicana #2 is the spot for Mexican candy. This is our new go to for the carne asada when we make it in our house. We were so happy to find something close to home where the meat was absolutely delicious. The prices sometimes vary depending on market value I'm guessing so for they're ranchera your gonna always look to pay $8-$12 per pound. It's a quite pricey but well worth it. This place by far is THE BEST in the IE, we I grew up in LA and been out here for over 20 years we live in San Jacinto and come all the way out here for the chicken, carne, and chorizo. In fact when we visit family back in LA we take some with us and it goes fast! I recommend this place, the service and the people are really helpful, plus the veggies are fresh too! The woman over the phone said she couldn't provide that information over the phone and also confirmed the prices don't vary. What gives?! Hello, I am a local to the Perris area for over twenty years. I have folllowed this small business from its origininal location in Lake Elsinore, to it's current locale in Perris. I do not even know where to begin, this place has it all. The tortilleria brings fresh tortillas made from scratch every weekend. The restaurant offers the best mexican food in the area, and let's not even begin to mention the amazing bakery they also own, which has its shelves constantly filled with fresh pan dulce. I am always greeted with a smile and speedy service. The store has the best ranchera meat that I know. Their secret marinade is also my secret because I am constantly being asked where I get my meat from. I'm surprised no one has reviewed this market. Well to start off this market is very little. They have a couple of aisles that house the typical Mexican goodies, dried chiles for salsa, hot sauce, mole sauce, tomato sauce, bread, tortillas, galletas, Mexican candy, etc. they have a really small produce and dairy selection. Basics like, tomatoes, onion, avocados, lemon, lime, cabbage, lettuce, nopales( cactus) ,cilantro, tomatillos, fresh chiles, milk, eggs, cheese, basics that Mexican cooking requires. Their meat selection is average. They have carne asada, chicken, and pork meat. I personally like the carne asada here (prepared) when I need it in that instance or plain if I have time to prepare it overnight (lemon, onion,garlic cilantro and salt) and chicken (the prepared one too). There's this place in LA that my family has gone to for years, but this is the closest to that , that we've found around here. The reason I'm giving it 4 out of 5 is because its good but not great. Take a trip to their taqueria restauran/ bakery behind the market though, it's delicious! read more
