I called yesterday to get my post name embroidered onto my American Legion hat. I spoke with a very nice man who said no problem to bring it by. He even gave me an estimated price to do it. I went in today and a woman touched the hat, said it had been worn and they didn't embroider on hats that had been worn. I told her it had only been worn twice. She acted like the hat was some road kill pushing it away from her. I grabbed it and put it back in the ziplock bag I had it in. I left telling her that if she was going to treat me like that, I didn't think I was going to come back to them for anything. I had just come from an incredible meeting at the Board of Supervisors chamber where veterans were being honored, not being treated like something you scrape off the bottom of your shoe. Absolutely the best prices in Stockton sweatshirts with iron on logos and embroidery logos too! I placed a order (big order) for 250 + sweatshirts for out teachers union. The sweatshirts were a great quality and their work of adherence of the logos was impeccable! Jonathan ( I think the owner) was the most professional and experienced person I have encountered in the field. He was kind enough to deliver our order (for free) and even carried them upstairs to our union office. Oh and communication, Jonathan is absolutely wonderful and consistent in communication with his customers. The teachers were absolutely thrilled with the craftsmanship and quality of the sweatshirts. This small business is located in central Stockton and there is more than enough parking available. I will definitely continue to do business with California Tees and Jonathan! Do you know how hard it is to find someone that that does actual Embroidery? Pretty darn difficult. Even businesses that have embroidery in their name, only do screen printing . I don't give many five star reviews but California Tees has earned one from me. Wendell and his wife are both extremely helpful and knowledgeable and will work closely with you to create the t-shirt you've envisioned. I've been in a number of times and Wendell especially, will spend a lot of time talking the job over, discussing options and will personally oversee the creation of a sample to ensure it reflects the original design intent as accurately as possible. In addition to embroidery and traditional screened tees, CA Tees has a great DIGITAL t-shirt printer for those small jobs, one-off creations or designs that have shading and color gradations that are beyond the capability of silk screens. So much better than using a t-shirt transfer or taking a chance on an automated printing service like Zazzle or CafePress. Some places may do the job a little cheaper but for professionalism, experience and added value, California Tees is my go-to t-shirt place. read more

I've had Tee's made with our massage name a few years ago for the Asparagus Festival. That was the only job I had them do. Although I have utilized them for just Polo Shirts. Meaning, for different events I need a certain color and most stores only carry a few XXL's so I contact California Tee's and order the Polo I need. The service is exceptional. Every time I have gone to this shop to get custom work done they have refused me. They say they can not do it. All I ever want is to print my art or digital image on a tee shirt or hoodie. I do not need special silk screening, just a simple photo image, but they can not seem to get it done. The man was just abrupt and rude and acted like he did not need my insignificant business. I'm sure if I requested 100 + shirts they would be more accommodating. I had to go to a shop in Sacramento where I had no problem getting my request fulfilled. I had an unusual and somewhat challenging project that required embroidery and I first approached "the other big embroidery company" in town. After two weeks of back and forth and confusion on their part on what I wanted, I received an email informing me to pick up the clothing items that I had left with them and they were not interested in the job. Undaunted, I dropped by California Tees and I happened to catch the owner at the counter. I shared with him what I wanted and every response to each requirement was "sure".... ''sure".... ''sure" ... "we can do that"..... "how about three days?". I was momentarily frozen with disbelief. I choked out a "that would be great"........ and departed. I returned three days later and true to his word the job was done expertly and perfectly! I will absolutely be a returning customer and I highly recommend you give them a shot with your embroidery requirements. I just picked my order from Wendell at California Tees and was nothing but satisfied with the look and the price of my order. This is fifth time we have placed a large order with Cal Tees and have been happy with each order. I must say I was completely surprised by Kelly A's review. With an order of 2 shirts needed the next day I can understand the price as well as the why I wouldn't accept online payments...the profit would be nothing after paying paypal or whatever online method used. It seems to me that a lot of what she is complaining about could have been prevented by better planning on her part and understanding the nature of the printing business. It doesn't surprise me that Kelly never mentions the finished product which I'm sure was perfect. It also wouldn't surprise me to learn that Kelly A has more negative reviews than positive ones. My guess is that she always has complaint issues. My experience with Wendell and California Tees has been nothing but top notch and I would recommend him to anyone. I always leave feeling I received more than I paid for, thanks Wendell and California Tee's. My advise to Kelly A, call California Tee's before you shop at JoAnn's for iron-ons. read more

The last time I went there, I had shirts that needed to be done on short notice and they were able to get it done for me. I really appreciate them doing that for me. Wendell and Sylvia are absolutely 10 stars when it comes to customer service. They saved my day a couple of weeks ago. I had been promised by another company 1-1/2 week delivery for two-color screen printing, with the completion date to be the on following Friday. I wanted them for an event on that weekend. That company hadn't even printed them on the following Monday. We were having another event the following weekend, so I wasn't about to take chances with that other company again. So I went to Sylvia on Monday afternoon and explained my situation. I knew I was asking for very tight delivery timing on the order, but Sylvia said it was doable, provided I got her the artwork digital file that afternoon. She explained to me the various printing options, and the price for each. Given my two-color screen printing needs, and the smallish order, the price was very reasonable. The price for printing the image on both front and back was only a couple of dollars more per shirt, so I opted for that upsell. Turned out, that was a great choice, because people saw the image both coming and going! I apologized that the edges in the artwork image file showed jaggies because the original image was kinda low resolution. Early the next morning, I received the emailed design proof file. One quick color correction, and within the hour, the design was good to go. They just had to wait to receive the unprinted tees. At noon on that Friday, I had my finished tee shirts, done to perfection. They really bent over backwards to meet my tight schedule. And my weekend event was a success. Thank you, Sylvia and Wendell !! I learned my lesson... BUY LOCAL! I will be back. And I'm recommending California Tees to all my friends. read more

I called this Yelp well-rated local company because of time constraints and placed a small order (2 youth tees). I would have ordered additional tees but the price with my own artwork was between $25-28 a shirt--exorbitant! I have not seen the final product, but the customer service was lacking. I corresponded with Wendell and he (very promptly I'll give him) told me that the unless payment was received in an hour, the order would not be ready. There was no secured payment method on their site. I could email the number or call it in for Wendell to write down on a scrap somewhere--also not secure! When I traveled the 30 minutes to their store and voiced displeasure, they had no idea how to handle the legitimate complaint. "This is the way we do it and we have never had a complaint before now!" said Silvia turning to the man next to her behind the counter. "Oh, this is the woman who refused to give her credit card information over the phone!" he said. This was apparently Wendell--we glared at each other as he walked by. If this was not for my son's birthday in three days, I would have torn the order in two and walked out vowing to report this to all of my friends and family! To make matters worse, this was supposed to have been a surprise for him--his whole family in "Camp" tees. Since I had to load all three kiddos in the car and take them with me to witness the quintessence of customer service...surprise blown too! Let's hope these look better than the ones I attempted to make with an iron-on! read more
