It was a Sunday evening and we were about a mile away from home in Union City. Our car lost power and I pulled over on the side. We sat in the tow truck while he loaded our Ford Escape onto the flat bed truck, drove us to our home and unloaded our vehicle perfectly in our driveway. I was heading to Fremont on the 84 and my Honda Civic broke down with some sort of transmission problem. I needed a tow to the nearest Honda dealership so I could have my car looked at and also acquire a loaner. I called several tow places and they were all at least a 1-3 hour wait! This wasn't an option since I was on the side of a very small two-lane highway which was very dangerous for me and my mother who was with me. So, I googled some local towing companies and I noticed "California Towing." I'm so glad I made the call. Sam answered the phone and I can't say enough good things about him. From the moment he picked up my car, I saw that he was very personable and very genuine. He told us that he knew what was causing the problem on my car (a bad clutch). On the way to Honda, he was sharing how he was a former mechanic and that he had a friend with an auto shop in Fremont. He made a call to his friend and told him the problem I was experiencing with my car. He then offered to take my car to his friends repair shop, if Honda was too pricey. Well, Honda told me they would charge me $175 to diagnose the problem. This wasn't an issue for me until they called me back to tell me they had to charge an additional $1,600 to "drop the transmission" in order to complete the diagnosis. I called Sam right away and he gave me some good advice. Long story short, he picked up my car (at no additional charge) and towed it to his friends repair shop to have it fixed. He even brought it back to me (again, at no additional cost) and, needless to say, I saved lot of money. When I offered to pay him for the additional tow, he said not to worry about it. What can I say about this place? This towing company is fast and responsive and very easy to work with. I called 2 others before this and one said they would be at my destination in 1-1.30hrs costing at $95. The other said 45mins at the same price. One didn't show up due to a flat tire. So I decided to call some more places and came across California towing. They said it would be 15-20mins and it would cost me $70! Much cheaper and they came in the time they said they would. Thank you guys for your service! Would definitely call them again if I had any issues, but hopefully I won't have to hahah. Update: They just called me back claiming that I did not pay for my towing service. I in fact did and they sent me a recipe via txt. During one of the rainy days in November my car decided to stall on me and did not want to start back up.
