I got flat tired this morning on 101N near San Carlos. My insurance company dispatched 2 other companies before contacting Elite Tow, and neither of them came to take my car. My insurance company contacted Elite Tow, and I immediately got a call from David, and he assured me that he's on his way. He gave me another call when he was near where I was. When he came, he let me stay in the towing car, loaded the car very fast and drove me to the shop. David was very professional and kind!! I had an issue of unlocking my car since my battery died and the mechanical driver side cylinder didn't work when using the key. I drive a 2014 Honda Civic and normally use an electronic key fob. Within the Honda fob, there is a backup key and that didn't work when unlocking my car, which is another issue not related to Elite Tow. Elite Tow eventually understood my situation and gave me a quote for "Car Lock Out." I said thanks after hearing the price and wanted to see what other Tow companies charged. Five phone calls later with different quotes, Elite Tow was the cheapest option with the best reviews according to Yelp. I gave a call back, and my helper, David instantly greeted me with my name that I previously gave him - bonus points for him. I gave him my address and he came on time. Five minutes later after a few conversations, he opened my car. I popped open my hood, bump started the car with my external car charger, and BOOM! BACK IN BUSINESS! I then asked David on how he accepted payment and he didn't have any Stripe option, nor did I think I had the actual cash on hand. However, since he did have an iPhone, I asked if he had Apple Pay. He didn't have it setup, but suggested that I send a payment through the phone number there. Sure enough, he got the payment and we both went on to the rest of our day - sweet! Side note - there is one thing that I like to to critique. I would suggest that David encourages other customers, like myself, to look up on the website and find the "Pay Here" button. I forgot about it on the spot, but wondered about that when trying to navigate things. I can definitely see someone who is much older, like people in their 70s, to figure out on how to do "mobile" payments if they themselves don't have a smart phone and are trying to pay someone on the spot. I got in an accident and had to leave my undriveable vehicle at the side of the highway. After trying to get a tow through my insurance company and calling another tow company, I finally called Elite Towing and Success! They were available and able to tow my vehicle right away. I had them tow it to my house, but when it got there Zack informed me I was leaking fluid and the city wouldn't want my wrecked vehicle on the road. He suggested he take the vehicle back to their storage site and I agreed. He said I would not be charged any extra for the tow. That was on a Friday. The next morning, Saturday, I called to see about getting our stuff out of our vehicle and the guy who answered said they weren't usually open on weekends, but that I could come at noon. The guy that opened the storage yard was also very nice and helpful. I think this is the best tow company I have ever worked with.
