I said I don't see the point of making an appointment since their team doesn't get to the people who have appointments on time. Had another experience for an 8am appointment and they didn't get to me for 40 minutes after Intaking people and talking for so long. He said that must have been a one off and they try to get everyone out in under an hour. I said I'll make the appointment but I don't want to wait 1.5 hrs for a repair. It's not fair to me to have to just wait. He makes an appointment at 4pm. 4pm rolls around, I'm there at 4:05pm. Traffic in Fremont is bad at that time. They didn't intake (see me) at my appoint until 4:45......... Then they look at my tires goes and talks to their team who says it'll be ready at 5:45pm. AGAIN!!!!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE APPOINTMENT IF YOUR NOT GOING TO HONOR THE APPOINTMENT!!!! Anyways....what their team needs to do is stop allowing customers to stand there looking at each tire on the website deciding which one they want. The location was very busy, so I went to the front desk and was told to go to the air-check area first. I asked if they could put my name on the waitlist since the line was so long, but the employee told me the air check would only take about three minutes and that the wait wouldn't be bad. I pulled up to the air-check area and was the second car in line. A technician then told me that air checks were the front desk's responsibility. After waiting another 20 minutes, the same front desk employee came outside and told me I was in the wrong spot and would now have to go to the back of the line. When I pushed back and explained that I had followed his instructions, he refused to help me, saying he couldn't because I was in the wrong spot. The frustrating part is that he was the person who told me where to go in the first place and never explained that I needed to be somewhere else. The owner of this location really needs to reassess the customer service at the front desk. I've always had great experiences with America's Tire, so this was extremely disappointing. I ended up leaving without receiving any help and drove to the Livermore location, where I was helped wonderfully. I highly recommend the Livermore location, but I would avoid this location at all costs.

Then over the winter, Chris' team returned because I wanted my garage refinished. I had 70s paneling and broken/crumbling dry wall. Considering how much time I spend in my garage, I can't believe I lived with such an eye sore for so many years. I gave Chris the hard task of wanting smooth walls, and if you know...that's a whole lot of sanding. His team came through and delivered! The prices were fair, and their system of telling you what absolutely needs work versus what they recommend to be worked on was so great in helping me understand what was wrong with the car. My experience with them made me tell my husband that I'd drive to them if we ever moved out of the area. Tesla will go to your location and fix the flat or replace the same brand of tire if needed. I was not aware of this service until my son reminded me. I had a complete flat tire in my garage and called Geico. The tow truck driver came and took me to Universal Tire because I heard this place was fast and competitive. The shop took off my tire and tested the leak and said I need to replace the tire because there are two punctures and they are too close to each other. The shop said I need to replace two tires instead of one and the cost was going to be around $1,000 for the exact same brand on my 2025 model Y. I did not feel comfortable about this situation so I left. The lesson I learned is to contact Tesla if I ever have a flat tire in the future. Tesla technician came within an hour and fixed the tire for a total of $103 because the puncture was only in one spot and the tire could be plugged. Tesla did provide an initial quote to replace a new tire for $395 in case it really needed. I was ok with that and Tesla did not say I needed to replace both tires. The technician did this work in his mobile van and he explained to me about his test and what he did to fix the tire. I was both surprised and happy. Tesla technician (Manny) was really helpful and HONEST. This may be an isolated case with Universal tires & wheel but I just want to share my experience and hope this helps others.

Then he's trying to get me to pay $190 to flush my brakes and says there's no way to know if theres a leak until my brakes get flushed. What??? Of course I don't do it and take my car to another more reputable shop to get the brakes checked just to make sure, and they tell me everything looks good. I can't say with certainty he was deliberately trying to scam me, but he's obviously giving tons of WRONG INFORMATION that could've cost me hundreds if not thousands of dollars while banking on me not knowing much about cars. On top of all that - after looking at the invoice I see they charge a 4% CREDIT CARD PAYMENT fee but didn't mention a single word about it. Not only is 4% MORE than what they have to pay for their own processing but not properly disclosing it or giving me an option to pay with cash or debit seems to border on ILLEGAL according to state laws. SHADY.

It's not a simple bolt-on job, and getting it set up properly requires dealing with manufacturer software and support. I had actually put this project off for a long time because I kept hearing how difficult the programming side could be--and that turned out to be true. Lo, the owner, was upfront and confident. He had done the same upgrade on his own vehicle and was willing to take it on. The physical installation was completed without any issues, but as expected, we ran into problems with the programming. Despite having everything we needed on paper, the system wouldn't cooperate, and getting help from the manufacturer turned into a frustrating process that dragged on for days. Here's where Pop's really stood out. Lo and his team stuck with it. They spent days troubleshooting, making calls, and following up--far beyond what most shops would be willing to do. At one point, we even discussed backing out of the upgrade entirely, and Lo made it clear he wouldn't charge me if it came to that. That level of honesty and fairness is rare. Instead of giving up, they kept pushing. On the final day, through sheer persistence, they finally got through to the right person, got the correct information, and completed the programming successfully. In the end, everything worked perfectly. What impressed me most wasn't just that they got the job done--it was how they handled the process. Transparent, patient, and genuinely committed to doing right by the customer, even when things got complicated. Just visually observed and said it was worn out. Did not diagnose where puncture was. Tread is quick fix while sidewall is when tire needs replacement. I replied my tires only had 38,000 miles which is midlife. According to AI, it is a "shop choosing convenience and profit over proper diagnosis". Beware.

The place is comfortable, with a coffee area and a TV where you can watch shows like animal programs or whatever is on. Overall, a very convenient experience.
