Location, location, location. We had a space next to a big tree and were told we had good space. It was spring and you could hear the pollen from the tree dropping like rain drops in the breeze on the roof the RV. You best hope that you have quiet neighbors a the space between you in may be 6-10 feet depending on how they park. When we drove in our neighbor had their car parked in our spot. It was a short walk to one of the mud baths that we had booked in advance and not too far from downtown shops and the farmers market on Saturday. The hooks ups that we had were water and electricity. The dup station was in front of the only bathroom but there wasn't a line when we went to leave. read more

I've stayed here a few of times. I like the location of this RV Park, as I love Calistoga, but I am not a fan of the park. There's only a few full hookups, it's not family friendly, and good luck getting a call back, and if you do, it's not in a timely manner. This last summer, we showed up on our scheduled time and there was a trailer parked in our site. There was no one around to help us, nor did the the RV Park answer our calls...so we had to wait for a couple of hours for the people to get back to ask them to leave. What was worse, they asked us if we could move to another empty spot! Of course, we said no. I guess for this place being close to Napa, they don't have to try very hard? read more

Their so much mud at the campsite it makes it so Difficult to walk, you can get into the RV with bringing in a ton of mud! The the camp host is more worried about the grass (weeds) then your safety! Not very welcoming! Sad read more

We stayed one night to visit friends. We called the same week and spoke to a very friendly person who took our reservation. We wanted full hookups and we were able to get one. We arrived early and they allowed us to check in early because the spot was empty. The park is basic with clean bathrooms and some shade trees. The front desk was very friendly. The best part about the park is that you can walk or bike every where in town. The park was very quiet at night and our hookups worked perfectly. The WiFi wasn't the best but I'm not online all the time and don't need it as much as others might. I will definitely stay here again. read more

I am really upset at the Calistoge RV Park, part of Napa Valley Fair Associaton. We cancelled our reservation in October because of the power outages around Napa Valley. We were told we would be charged for 1 night due to their cancellation policy. We were charged over $200! I have emailed, called, both the RV park and the association. I have not received a refund AND NOT EVEN A CALL BACK OR RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL! I feel for folks in Napa Valley, but COME ON! read more

This is a quiet place, and an okay stay over. We pulled in after the office was closed but they had a full reservation list posted as well as identified what spots were open. Bathroom/Showers are okay, rustic but fine. It's obvious this used to be part of the fairgrounds just converted into an RV parking ground. Spots are tight and dirt, in the summer, it's hot, even with the trees. It was fine for our one night here. read more

Stayed 3 nights in May, 2019 for the purpose of attending one day at Bottlerock. #1 - get a premium space - don't recommend staying at pull thru spaces in the middle of the park unless you don't care at all where you are and wont be spending any time outside your rig. #2 - don't expect any presence, help or consideration from the office. they're very rude if you stay longer than the 11am check out time, and will immediately fabricate lies to make you move immediately, like "there's someone waiting at the office to pull into your space" (even though you see at least 20 empty ones just like yours outside, you recall that check-in's at 3pm, and see no rigs near the office). #3 the price was not raised over the bottlerock weekend like 90% of the other camp/rv parks, so benefit, +1 point to make 2 stars. read more

Wow! This is a great place! I know I read the reviews and lots of negative comments, we almost cancelled due to it. So happy we came! Yes it's basically a parking lot. We got a spot with shade trees and backs up to the golf course! Bathrooms are standard, clean and staff Margaret was super nice. So the best part of this park ...you are four blocks from town! Super cute Hood around you and a chic grocery store! So I would say stop and stay for a few days! read more

This RV park is at the fairgrounds. Their website makes it appear to look very green, lush and have wonderful grounds. Luckily we read reviews beforehand and knew that it was a fairgrounds park and knew what to expect. It is basically a gravel lot with plenty of RV spots. Some spots are full hookups (50 amps) and some spots are electric/water only (30 amps). They do have a dump station for paid guests to use. Some sites have trees for shade. There is a bath house. Two showers in each the men's and women's side. The bathroom is older but fully functional and hot showers with good water pressure. They have free WiFi and it worked well most of the time. For the ares the price is great. Overall, not fantastic scenery but walking distance to downtown, good price, and friendly staff. read more

Great location. No need for a car if you stay there. It is a few blocks away from hiking, downtown Calistoga and you can take the shuttles to go wine tasting. There isn't much to the park but it's clean and everybody has been nice to us so far. The fact that we can walk everywhere and go to the restaurants, hikes and wineries is what keeps bringing us back. read more

We had to spend 5 nights at this park due to a family hospital stay and other than the Napa State Park, this is the closed rv park near St. Helena. With a winter storm in area, we decided choose a park with electric to handle the freezing temps and rain. Almost all the sites became flooded and/or muddy from the heavy rain, so be prepared if your visit is during rain season. Trash and recycle bins were overflowing when we arrived and not once did they empty them during our stay. Wi-fi is spotty at best...unless you us it from 12:00 midnight to 6:00 am. Bathroom/showers were littered with paper and never cleaned. Grass lawns between sites have not been maintained and are either overgrown or dying. Park looks run down...but you will still have to pay a premium fee. Location, location, location. Only plus are kind and friendly office staff, who are not responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the park. read more

Extremely misleading website! There is NO grass at the premium sites...and the grass area for dogs is...at best...weeds. The bathrooms are covered in ceiling webs and there is absolutely NO security anywhere on the premises. Find somewhere else to go!! read more

Very disappointed with this park for the area & price. No grass, one toilet per dirty bathroom, rv's in middle row are maybe 6 ft apart!!! Upside is free wi-fi & 3 blocks from downtown. There is a bus shuttle for $1 per person. We'll pass this one by next trip! read more

I grew up in this town and my mom still lives here. We pulled our trailer over to stay 2 nights in the park for our class reunion that was on site. I am appalled at how mismanaged this place has become. There was no grass at all. Only dried up weeds. "The brochure" stated that you couldn't put dog beds or a rug on the premium sites I am assuming to protect the "grass" (which sadly there are only foxtails, burs, gravel and dirt!). The area that I had assumed was for the dogs (as there was a dog waste disposal unit there) was also the tent area. At check in we were not giving the wifi code OR the dump code. We have been to a lot of RV parks and sadly, this is one of the worst. And it is too bad. It is in a PERFECT location! The rest of the fairgrounds were in even worst shape. Sad. I think the only thing that can save this place is new, competent, management. read more

Spaces are tight. We could barely open our slide-out without hitting our neighbors awning. A few trees, but basically it's a parking lot with no lawn in sight. Unbelievably, they charge an extra $10 if you want a picnic table on your site, and $15 to dump your tanks (if you didn't have one of the "premium" sites). Pluses are that it's walking distance to downtown Calistoga and the bathrooms are reasonably clean. Of course, the motion detector lights in the women's bathroom will leave you in the dark if you're doing your business in the stall and take longer we than about 90 seconds, so bring a flashlight! read more

Great location. Office hours are 10-4 but rarely open on time. Weeds are high and not being cleared throughout the park making it an eyesore. Plan on using your cellular data because WiFi doesn't work except for the very basic needs. We have been here several times to visit family and use this park due to very limited choices for RV camping. The office attendant is pleasant. Just wish whoever runs the park would take more pride and effort to make it the jewel it could be. read more

This RV park is nestled a few blocks away from Downtown Calistoga...about a half mile walk. It is essentially a loose gravel parking lot enclosed by a chain link fence. There is no security that I saw, in the evenings the fence remains open and unguarded. We arrived later in the evening so the office to check in was closed, but they do have postings on reservations and which lot was assigned to who. Also posted was a notice saying if you arrived without a reservation, one could park in any open unreserved spot. So that's nice for the weary traveler. I gave three stars because the prices are the same for any other RV park that would have amenities and concrete slabs to park on. Since it had just rained, we tracked gravel bits and sandy kind of mud into the RV. They do have a small restroom. The women's side had two toilets and two showers. They were nice and clean. I'm assuming the men's side was much the same. I thought I had paid for a site that had electricity/water/sewer. However, only the premium sites (1-26) have all three. So, at the end I had to dump at the shared site. Which was fine, but if I were staying for more than one night...it would have been a problem. Go for the premium site! Also, you need a code to open the dump site hole, and if they are closed you're to get it from the golf course attendant. Nice little town, just know this place is basic. read more

The good news first... great location in the heart of Calistoga. Walking distance from everything. Now the bad news: 1. Terrible reservation and booking system. Online reservation doesn't give you a site number, and if you booked it after office hours you can't find your site assignment on the posted list. Nobody was there to tell me where to go, there was no information left for me on the office door, and I couldn't reach anybody by phone. Left messages... no return call. It was 9 pm and I pulled into an available site, hoping nobody would show up to claim it. 2. When I found a manager the next day she was extremely rude and not the least bit helpful. She wanted to charge me the premium rate for the site I pulled into (my booking was standard). When I told her I had no information about where to go and nobody returned my calls, she argued with me and insisted that I pay the higher price. 3. There is no internet, even though they say they have a wifi network called NCFair, no NCFair shows up on the list of available networks. When I asked the manager about it she said, "I'll look into it," with a sneer. She never did. I'm sure she hears this complaint constantly. Nobody in the park had internet. 4. No amenities of any kind. No laundry room, store, nothing. Not even picnic tables. 5. Ugly site. Dirt, gravel, dead grass everywhere. read more

This is a no-frills park. We had full hookups. It was wet season and most of the sites were wet but we were able to switch to a dryer site. the location is great. Easy walk into Calistoga, but can be dark at night. Bring a flashlight. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest but that could have been the time of day. Staff we met seemed nice. read more

The neighbor pulled in and one of the persons that worked at the RV Park followed to tell them that "they need to drive 5-miles an hour, and because they drive a Provost he understands that they think that they're special"....he honestly said that! Horrible place. Do not be fooled by the grassy knoll on the website. It's a scam. No grass. No security. No wifi to speak of. No shade, unless you go for the "premium" spots. I'll call it what it is: a gravel parking lot. We tried to spend a few minutes outside, at the weed patch across from our site...unexpectedly, we found a poop bag dispenser, stocked. But we also found piles and piles of dog poop, so I guess guests aren't responsibly cleaning up after their pets. When it was morning and the promise of a new day and an escape we're in view, we attempted to use the free onsite dump station, but wouldn't you know it? There's a code and since we never saw an employee or owner, no one to issue it. They expect you to find someone at the adjacent golf course for the code! Unbelievable. What a total disappointment. We were looking forward to a nice stop before our trip up the coast. I wish we'd bypassed this place. One star is too high. read more

Our first time to visit Calistoga. The park was clean and well kept. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Right next to the fairgrounds, so there was a wonderful space that we could walk our dog. Downtown was super fun. Lots of cool shopping and amazing places to eat. We can't wait to go back. read more
