Sites are clean, but look level and still needed a couple of leveling blocks on one side. Quiet location but we would feel better if they used a security gate for the entrance. Restrooms were clean but aged. Good location to access highways to the coast and wine country. Not much space between sites and no picnic table. read more

We had a great overnight stay on our way north. Not fancy or scenic but very practical and Santa Rosa has everything you could ever need.

Only giving 1 star because I have to give something. It really is not a bad place, the thing that makes it not so great is camp host Daryl, who enforces the rules he wants to enforce when he wants to enforce them, but breaks the darn near all the rules himself. Right now my family is going through a bit of a rough patch, borderline homeless. So we packed up the trailer and went to stay at the Rv park. We recently ended our 28/3 and I hooked the trailer back up and went to check in. Was told after a short phone call to the manager saying we were annoying other guests. I have 2 kids 6 and 3 that are very friendly and love to meet new people. Not once have I ever had a complaint that me or my kids were annoying or that we were annoying them, no mention about it from the park hosts just a screw you when I went to check in today. read more

We stayed here for the third time while attending the Country Summer Music Festival at the fairgrounds. There is new management and you can surely tell! We were warmly greeted by Christine; Rocky guided us to our site. He was around all weekend to ensure we enjoyed our stay. He even brought the campground manager Rachel over to say hello. This is a very clean basecamp with full hookups and would be great for exploring the area. Note: it is a gravel lot but there are trees and a dog park. Definitely recommend! Thanks again, Rocky! nice place. the camp host was very nice. didn't use any of the facilities so can't say anything about it. will use again.

This was a quick overnight stay while passing through on our way home to Southern California from Washington. Basic gravel lot with plenty of room and full hook-ups. Did the job and was inexpensive. A low score on the snob meter, But I didn't pay for snob accommodations either. read more

Beware of their cancellation policy, which is buried in the multiple pages of polices they have you sign, they keep $30 no matter when you cancel. I cancelled my reservation 4 days before the reservation date and they kept $30 of the $70 nightly rate. When questioned they responded with "you signed our policy page". We are Good Sam members and have stayed at numerous GS camping sites and have never run into this before. Camp ground looked ok - slightly run down and very basic. read more

Arrived for our reservation and Tim greeted us with "That's a nice looking trailer". Then a young woman came into the office with a rude attitude, her name was Stephanie Nanny! Where is your trailer registration and ins. Wow, we have never been asked this before. My husband went out and got our registration and on our Oregon registration, it says " Travel Trailer Registration". She stated, the last time we saw one of these the management had an issue and turned them away! What??? This is a GRAVEL and DIRT without PULL throughs RV Park. Cousin Eddy would feel right at home. We left, and drove to the KOA in Petaluma, CA. While checking into the KOA, I then get a call from the manager asking if we are keeping our reservation? I stated that we tried to and were very rudely turned away. She then asked if our trailer has a Manufacture Certification? I stated yes, and she said they need to see that! What??? We're already checked into a KOA. Stephanie should be fired and maybe the manager too! read more

Stephanie went above and beyond to help get our stay sorted out and she made it so easy on me which I appreciate since I'm the wife of a husband that travels for work so we're constantly moving around. Overall, the park is well maintained/clean and the other guests have been very friendly and welcoming. Some of the spots are tight to get into but completely doable. The park is also all gravel, which I prefer so there's no dirt getting tracked in or muddy grass. We're very pleased with everything thus far and thankful for a safe RV Park to stay at while we're working in the area. SIDE NOTE: There are no longer FEMA trailers here so if you're reading past reviews regarding this, don't worry about it. read more

Lady is very rude at the office, tried calling to get info and figure out how to rent a long term site while I'm working in town. She just acted like she was overwhelmed and busy and told me to go to the website and figure it out. Same thing when I went in and asked her... Customer service is not what it use to be. If you have extremely low expectations, this park is for you ! If I had only known, I don't think I would've made reservations for this RV park. It has been taken over by FEMA trailers from the Sonoma fire last year. The camp hosts are extremely helpful and apologetic for the condition of the park but that being said the overall condition of the park is bad. There are trash bags laying numerously around the trailers and there is dog poop everywhere. It is a huge gravel lot with very narrow spots and moderately muddy. The "residents" are not friendly at all. I had our "neighbor" ask/tell me when we were leaving because she normally parks her car in our RV spot and it's inconvenient for her now to walk to her car in the "weather". I lied and told her a week. She was not at all happy with that answer. Restrooms/showers are locked between 2100-0700 daily. They do have a laundry area but it looks to always be in use. The have 30/50 amp service, water and sewer too. WiFi is spotty at best You have been warned, Good luck. read more

Perfect for us for one night! We were traveling on hwy 101 and needed a place to stop with electric to run the AC. Everything in the area was $70 a night. This fairgrounds popped up and we thought 'what the heck'. Soooo glad we stopped. With Passport America it was only $17. Regular price for a night is $35 so still not bad considering the other options in the area. Very nice gal in the little office, no reservation necessary so we could do a drive-by before committing. A huge gravel area, lots if other friendly RV'ers and plenty of sites. Laundry and bathrooms. It fit our needs perfectly. AC running, water and a safe place to sleep. We will consider Fairgrounds in the future. Just check to see when the fair is going because the park in unavailable then. read more

We are staying here one night. Pull-thru spot with 50 amps. Camp host is attentive and helpful. Bathrooms and laundry available. Quiet.

This park is very basic .... few 50 amp... almost all 30 amp.. water/sewer and that's about it . No picnic tables/bbq pits or much in the way of amenities. Wifi broken. Our largest issue was that the park's website shows photos of how the park used to look ...now, they've cut the spaces in half and the bulk of the park is filled with FEMA trailers from the Santa Rosa fire. It's great that they are helping but they should tell people when they reserve or make a note on the website. Our 28 ft. trailer wouldn't even fit in the first space so I had to walk back to the office and get another space. We were crammed in so tight that our truck was parked in what would normally be our outdoor living area. The entire place is gravel..large gravel. read more

This place is more like a run down trailer park than a Rv park. Lots of dog poop around where people don't pick up after their dogs. FEMA trailers take up most of the 30amp spaces. For what you get it is not worth the price. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights as a place to sleep at night while we were out during the day. The first night we got here the guy in the trailer across from us was yelling on the phone saying new people came in and they have a lot of f***ing kids and loud dogs. The next day we're packing up to leave and two ladies are outside yelling at each other arguing about a car and then physically fighting and throwing trash cans at each other. We saw the police show up to talk to the other trailer 2 days in a row. It isn't the trailer parks fault that FEMA came in a turned this place into garbage. read more

Worst ever!! Do not make reservations here!! Go somewhere else. I will not become a member of Good Sam Campgrounds because of this experience!! Our friends made reservations for us and another couple, three in all, six weeks in advance. When we arrived our three 50 AMP sites were given to others!! When asked to speak to a manager, what do you know, can't get ahold of anyone. According to the host our spots were given to "friends". I have never experienced anything like this before!! We were put into 30 AMP spots not anywhere next to each other, which our original reservation had us. I do not recommend this camp site or making reservations at any Good Sam Campground. I will be contacting the host manager and Good Sam for retribution. Totally screwed up our weekend!!! read more

Could smell sewer off and on during our stay. Odd layout that had tow vehicle parked next to trailer on entry door side. No picnic tables. Packed in with little to no outdoor privacy or shade. Overpriced compared to other places with similar amenities. Unfortunately, Santa Rosa has few choices for RV stays. read more

Our trailer needed to be repaired, unable to drive very far because of a broken leaf spring. Staying at the fairgrounds was very convenient, because it was very close to our repair business. Extremely close sites, very noisy, dog poop everywhere and terrible odors from the septic connections. I didn't feel safe, stayed inside, with the door locked. read more

What a deal!! ($31 Good Sam) We were way up in the redwoods and decided to get closer to home and break up a long drive. Called ahead and no reservations needed which allowed us to check it out first! Super nice woman at check-in who told us to pick what site we wanted. I imagine during fair time the spots might be a little tight but were perfect now. (gravel) It wasn't anything near the 'glamping' we are use to BUT absolutely perfect for our needs. No cable, no wifi but we have a satellite if we wanted to set it up. We will definitely be back and will now check out other fairgrounds instead of ridiculously priced spots. read more

This is a great place to park your rv if you are visiting the area, stopping overnight, or going wine tasting. We were here due to a relative being hospitalized. We ended up having to stay in the area for six weeks. They had limits of 28 days or something like that. We wrote for an extension due to the situation and were granted one extension. This helped out immensely! We had to take care of my uncle's place (remodel, replace carpets, etc.) and also be with him at the hopsital. This was central to both locations. The camp hosts were so helpful, friendly, and overall wonderful. It is a gravel lot-type campground with some trees. The restrooms were very, very clean. We were very comfortable there and would return again. Our friends came up to visit for an afternoon and said they would bring their rv there as well. There is a large flea market nearby as well as farmer's market. My only wish is that there was a coded gate to get in and out. Sometimes locals came in and cruised through. Santa Rosa is a wonderful community. read more

Poor management. We booked an early spot with a group of friends at $35 per night for an upcoming concert at the fairgrounds. We bought concert tickets. Several weeks after we booked, the managers called and said we now had to pay $140 for 3 days. We told them we could only stay 2 nights and were already booked at $35 per night. They said it's now $140 for the weekend, no matter how many nights you stay. They would not budge. They told us if we didn't like it we could cancel and go elsewhere. So basically we got screwed for booking early. As far as the facility goes, it's a big gravel parking lot with hookups. It's just ok if you only need a place to plug in and call home for a few days. The spaces are pretty tight. You better really like the people next to you. Overall location is ok. A short drive to midtown Santa Rosa with all the bars and shops. read more

We have never been to Sonoma. We were in town for a graduation and selected the RV Park at the Fairgrounds. We were not disappointed. It is very clean and well maintained. It was very quiet which was a pleasant surprise. The other RV travelers were very friendly. We were there for only a weekend. We plan on returning for a longer stay to enjoy the area. read more

We stayed for 2 days it was quiet,clean,maintained, price was right and all were friendly. only issue we had was there is a marijuana grow on the other side of wooden fence in residential area and when the breeze blows towards the campground it smells soooo BAD!. Had to close our windows instead of enjoying the fresh air:( read more
