The bid for the tree was in line but the bid for the rose bush was too high so we negotiated a fair price. Nemias seemed to know how to prune a rose bush. It takes time and patience. Cutting it wrong can and most likely will kill the plant. The rose bush in question at my house produces a huge amount of deep red roses each year so I am very particular of its pruning. He assured me his people knew how to do it. When the day came they did an excellent job on cutting the crepe. However they used a "Hedge Trimmer", that's right a "Hedge Trimmer" to cut the rose bush, which took all of "2 minutes". It was obvious they had no idea how to trim the plant. For the $60 they charged I could have gone into my garage and mutilated the plant with my own hedge trimmer. The site manager Oscar, assured me his man knew what he was doing. He didn't. They didn't. When it comes to trimming trees, I am sure they are excellent. DO NOT, however, let them touch anything that requires "real knowledge" of horticulture. You will be greatly disappointed.

They returned on the following day to take down the remainder of that tree and another tree that was destroyed. All debris was removed, the stumps ground down, the yard left immaculate. I recently called Joe and requested he provide a quote for an elderly friend of the family who needed MANY tree limbs removed from trees growing in the neighbor's yard. These limbs have caused issues with her siding, gutters and roof. In addition, she was barely getting sun light in her back windows because of the growth. Joe was not available but sent his worker, Brian, to assess the situation and provide a quote. We were able to set up an appointment for them to come in relatively quickly. The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation.
