The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation. The owner is now claiming that the photo is also fake. Not only is this immature and unprofessional, it tells me they are taking zero accountability for their mistake and are doubling down on being unprofessional.

We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. The bid for the tree was in line but the bid for the rose bush was too high so we negotiated a fair price. Nemias seemed to know how to prune a rose bush. It takes time and patience. Cutting it wrong can and most likely will kill the plant. The rose bush in question at my house produces a huge amount of deep red roses each year so I am very particular of its pruning. He assured me his people knew how to do it. When the day came they did an excellent job on cutting the crepe. However they used a "Hedge Trimmer", that's right a "Hedge Trimmer" to cut the rose bush, which took all of "2 minutes". It was obvious they had no idea how to trim the plant. For the $60 they charged I could have gone into my garage and mutilated the plant with my own hedge trimmer. The site manager Oscar, assured me his man knew what he was doing. He didn't. They didn't. When it comes to trimming trees, I am sure they are excellent. DO NOT, however, let them touch anything that requires "real knowledge" of horticulture. You will be greatly disappointed.

A bike carrier hitch failed on my vehicle while I was driving at highway speed. The carrier and bikes came off, landed upright, and spun around in the roadway. This could have caused a major accident. Jose, who happened to be nearby, avoided hitting it, stopped traffic, and took control of the situation. He carried the hitch and bikes to the side of the highway and then helped me safely navigate backing down the shoulder so I could retrieve everything. He had absolutely nothing to gain by helping me. In fact, he put himself at risk to protect other drivers and help a complete stranger. I tried to give him $50 as a thank-you, and he refused to accept it. All he asked was that I leave his business a good Google review and refer customers to him. Jose is a prince. Honest, brave, calm, and decent. This could have had a much worse outcome, and we were very lucky he was there. Based on his character alone, I would trust him and his business completely. Jeff made sure that the tree debris was carried from my backyard out to the front of my house to be ground up on the truck. He came with four other workers and Jeff was actively involved in helping them do the job and supervising them. Jeff is very easy to work with and everything he promised he would do was faithfully done. The huge tree parts were carefully removed via pulleys and no damage was done to my neighbor's house due to the tight space they had. Everything was removed and his men cleaned up the entire yard and cleared all the debris-they knew exactly what had to be done and their experience in doing this certainly showed. I was impressed with the skill of the tree cutter and the use of the Bobcat Track Loader to quickly and efficiently move the cut limbs and trunk pieces from the backyard to the front of the house.
