This place is perfect for cocktails and bites. The atmosphere is sophisticated, service is great, and everything we tasted was delicious. The location can be a bit tricky to find though, off Mc Gregor square, in the Rally hotel. I had the Lemon Drop and the Cosmo, and they were perfectly balanced, not too sweet. Among the food we shared, the roasted beet hummus and the tempura lobster shooter were my favorites to snack on with our cocktails. I'll definitely keep Call Me Pearl in mind next time I'm in Denver for a drink! read more

Call Me Pearl is one of the two restaurants at the Rally Hotel in Downtown Denver. They have a daily happy hour with a small list of food and drink specials. The restaurant is stylish and modern, with a beautiful pearl chandelier. To go along with the "pearl" theme, they are known for oysters and champagne... two of my favorite things. The happy hour doesn't have spectacular prices, but it does offer a discount on several champagnes by the glass, cocktails and small bites. Oysters are $2.50 each and glasses of Veuve are $20. I really liked the chill vibe of the restaurant. It felt very classy and the service was excellent. I went to happy hour on Thursday by myself, and again on Saturday with a friend. During that time, I tried a few different champagnes and several appetizers. They offer both east coast and west coast oysters. I chose east coast, as they are typically my favorite. They were beautifully served on a tray of fake pearls. I will say the oysters were good, but I have had much better. They were just on the small side and were underwhelming. My very favorite item was the shooter. It was a lobster bisque shooter in a small cup adorned with a bit of termpura lobster. It was absolutely delicious. I also tried the slider, rice and dumpling. All were good. Though I was a bit disappointed in the oysters, I really enjoyed my time at Call Me Pearl. They also give you affirmation cards with your check, and there are free postcards at the entrance. It is really a cool experience. If I return to the Rally Hotel, I will definitely come to the happy hour at Call Me Pearl. read more

I wish this was a stand-alone bar (well, no offense to Rally Hotel just so you know.) If it was a stand-alone bar then its charm would project more. This chic bar (or shall I call it "lounge"?) is cozy and elegant. Its elevated feel with a huge chandelier in the center of it with some vintage furniture is the signature of this beautiful space which you can casually walk into from the whole McGregor Square. This was our last stop for the night (my adult daughter and I were doing a girls' restaurant crawl on a quiet Sunday a few weeks ago.) As we were celebrating her birthday, I wanted the night out to conclude with some special place. Call Me Pearl did the magic for us. Although their couch seatings were comfy and inviting, we decided to sit at the bar. We did the right thing because we got an undue attention from Haley C who was most attentive to our needs. Her kind words and demeanors made our occasion so special. The only negative thing about sitting at the bar however are the uncomfortable bar stools. They aren't hard-wood and yet the seats started to feel hard after 15 minutes of sitting on it and they made our bottoms hurt a bit (lol; just a little information.) Not only the signature cocktails they can create, I enjoyed perusing their food (bites) menu. We only needed a few small plates at this point. My daughter wanted both the east coast and west coast oysters ($3.50 each; she got two of each); I went with the fish croquettes & curry with a glass of Sinegal Cab Sauv (from CA). The presentation of the oysters was beautiful. On a rectangular shaped gold plate they placed two oysters on each end with pearl beads with two sauces. My daughter could tell the difference in taste between the east and west oysters; she ended up liking the east ones better although west ones were quite tasty as well. I strongly suggest that you do the same by ordering both. My croquettes were okay-ish. Whereas I wasn't super impressed with this dish, it's not a bad dish to have along with a glass of wine or some cocktail (by the way, I truly enjoyed the Sinegal Cab Sauv; if you are a wine person, this is a must-order one.) When you get a moment, you should head over to "Guest Book and Captured Memories" section right at the entrance. Guests can use the bar's vintage looking polaroid camera to capture some precious moments. I was looking for a stylish place for a special event with a friend and this fit the bill. It is a little challenging to find from the street, so I would suggest allowing a little extra time. We made reservations and were seated at a high top at the back of the bar right away. The service was unfortunately a little slow. We didn't order any food, but each ordered a drink. I didn't love mine, but that's probably more personal taste than anything wrong with the drink. A true delight! I went here with Ryan for a birthday treat! We did have a gift card we were using so that is always nice too! It's inside the beautiful hotel downtown near the ball park. It's small intimate bar area with regular seating as well. There's a cute little instagramy spot for photos to take, including a instant camera to take your pic and put it in their book and leave a note. I love extra touches like this. Call Me Pearl is a chic bar located in the Rally Hotel overlooking Coors Field. A giant chandelier with bulbs representing pearls hangs above the well-decorated space. Nods to classic cocktails and food are in the extensive pearlescent leather menu. Definitely go during happy hour from 4-6pm Monday - Saturday as drinks and small bites are a steal. We made a reservation and I would recommend making one since it got busy around 5pm on a Thursday, keeping our 2 bartenders and 1 server quite busy. Happy hour cocktails are made with their house lemon infused vodka and both the lemon drop and cosmopolitan were delicious. The cosmo wasn't the standard bright pink one like in 'Sex and the City', but a classier peach pearl color. We decided to try a sampling of all snacks that were offered. The wagyu slider was flavorful but a tad overcooked, edamame hummus was plentiful with tasty toasted pita, a nice selection of oysters were served on a bed of pearls, deviled eggs had a great savory lemon-Dijon filling, and our table's fav was the tuna poke on rice cake. My friend recommended this place, so we went. It just opened up a few months ago. This place has a very nice ambience. There's a bar and intimate seating with tables surrounding the bar. It's official. Call Me Pearl is in full swing and I had the pleasure of drinking and dining already! This place is CUTE. It is like The Rally Bar get cozy and sophisticated. Same great design accents, but toned down and super lounge feeling. The cocktails are on point. They make a killer spicy edition of the espresso martini and a filthy dirly martini. So good! They have great bites includes poke nachos, shrimp, sliders and more. Their cocktail menu rocks! I loved the Velvet Dreams, which was nice and refreshing and made with Tito's vodka, Leopold bros. Absinthe, sparkling rosé, lime, mint, butterfly flower tea. We also tried the Sally'sRose Garden which was equally as beautiful and another smooth and delightful cocktails, made with Wheatley vodka, maraschino liqueur, egg white, raspberry, lemon, rose water. We headed to Call Me Pearl last night for some sweet ambiance and holiday cheer. The "pearl" chandelier reminiscent of the #colorado flag C is really something. Located in McGregor Square (Rally hotel) they had Christmas movies playing silently in black & white and live piano coming from the foyer. We noshed on some #Kumamoto oysters and truffle fries and enjoyed a variety of drinks. There were certainly other snacks & shareables I wanted to try, like the ahi poke wontons, but didn't quite get around to it. The SALT & PEPPER VESPER, their play on a dirty martini, arrived in the most beautiful glass. I was really hoping for more "pop" with the s&p tincture. The RYE & CHAI was fantastic and I could have easily continued with these for the remainder of the evening but wanted to work through part of the menu. Chai falernum and cardamom bitters? Yes, please. The aptly named CHIMNEY SMOKE was imbued with applewood smoke and a play on a black Manhattan. this cocktail is on their holiday drink menu but could easily be a staple. The GINGER GRINCH holiday cocktail was a delicious concoction of bourbon, matcha, misunderstood oat nog, and ginger. Service from Nate was indeed great. He was personable and attentive. I can only speak to the service and what we could see from the lobby/hostess stand. Four of us decided to go here for a girls night out. When we first got to the hotel, what we noticed is, this is a little corner section in the lobby of the hotel. Not its own room or anything. You can see the entire area from the lobby. It took us about 30 minutes to drive and before we left, we checked OpenTable for details, the reservation options were completely open for four people (all times available) so we figured it wasn't busy and didn't seem to be high demand so we'd just walk up because our arrival time was iffy. We got there about 5:30pm and the hostess asked if we had a reservation. When we told her no, she said she had no availability and waved her hand towards the outer square and said "there are many walk up options you can go try out there" We looked at each other and then at the 60% empty seating areas. Confused we began discussing options, and looking on our phones for someplace else to go. While we were standing there doing that, I heard another employee come up to the hostess and ask her something - the hostess, replied "I'm trying to keep things open and calm because I'm anticipating a rush later." I then checked OpenTable to look at the many options that were available just before we left and they were all completely gone - as in the reservations looked closed or removed. What an odd experience. Needless to say, we will not try going back. read more

Such a great experience at Call Me Pearl! The ambiance, the staff, food and drinks were more than I could have hoped for. The sprung cocktail were curated by each in of the bartenders for the season. Each one was light and refreshing without being too sweet ( or skimping in the booze). Herbs and citrus were the highlights; leaving your palate clean and refreshed. The Garden Cooler paired beautifully with the crab cakes and the Soiree was a wonderful finisher to the menu. My overall winner for the season: Ostara Sour. Chef kiss The bao buns were on point! I am sure these will be a favorite among the customers. Buns were light and fluffy, pork was so tender w/ a lovely glaze that was not too sweet, lightly pickled veggies that had just the right amount of heat on the back end.
