So since he did this I will tell what transpired. I asked him if he could cut shorter after he completed the first cut. My family and neighbors agreed that it did not look good. However, I did not tell him that because I did not want to offend him. This was right after cut. I nicely texted him and asked if next time he could go shorter. He said ok. He then texted me on the day of the next cut and I just reminded him by saying ok thx and short. I then received a text he sent to someone of a screenshot of our conversation calling me a Stupid C --t. I told him that he sent the text to me " obviously by accident". I clearly was offended and it was completely unwarranted. Of course then stopped my service with him. I now just received a long text from him saying derogatory statements about me for texting him those two brief request. He said I was ignorant, rude, and disrespectful by me asking him about it being shorter. Claimed the two text were continuous (lying) only the two and one like I said was a reply to him and not even a sentence. He then proceeded to tell me to pick up my dog shit because he is a professional. Mind you I have an extremely small back yard with three dogs. I never met him in person. He would let me know roughly the day and then on that time he was coming. This was done when I was at work. Again, only twice. The only reason twice is because he did the lawn the second time before I saw his crass text.I never dealt with this kind of behavior from someone not only works for a business, but a family owned business. He needs to get his anger in check. I hope he does not continue to harass me.

They said they would be back on Friday to finish the work. I informed them that I was going out of town the next day (Thursday) and asked if they wanted me to pay for most of the work already completed. I was told they would collect after I got back. When I walked around the house, I realized they had mowed down an entire garden of hellebore (4 of which were just planted, hadn't taken full root yet, and cost me $173.00) and several patches of Lily of the Valley. When I texted to complain, I was first told that they would grow back next year. I was shocked by his dismissiveness. I was then told they would give me 150 off and guarantee they would grow back next year. I said I was not comfortable with that and that I wanted to have a live conversation when I got back in town either Sunday or Monday. Caleb continued to text me on Thursday as I was driving. I told him we could discuss it when I got back from the weekend- that I did not want to discuss it while I was driving or away on a family matter. He said he wanted it settled before coming back to finish the work on Friday. I told him I understood and he could wait to finish the job after we came to a resolution. He then proceeded to text that: 1. He wasn't doing the work for free 2. I made his guys do 2 of the garden beds that were not included (even though ALL BEDS was written in the contract) 3. I got a really good price and discount with the 150.00, that he knows what's fair, and I should be happy 4. "If he had to rearrange his schedule and push back jobs just to discuss this accident, he will be charging me for his time" 5. If I didn't agree to his terms, he was stopping the work and I needed to pay him for the work done 6. He needed my answer by the end of the day At first I was willing to chalk it up to a stressful situation; as I clearly stated throughout, I did not respond until I got back on Sunday. I did not hear from him on Sunday or Monday, and called him again. He proceeded to yell at me that I was unreasonable; that he had a business to run, that he wasn't going to respond just because I was ready to talk, I should just accept his terms, and would not even hear my proposal. He then refused to finish the job, told me I wouldn't find anyone else to do it, and would be coming by to collect the money owed. Thankfully, he sent his partner Josh who was very apologetic, remorseful and respectful. Caleb left me with huge tree limbs in my front yard, piles of debris scattered throughout, as well as a 7 ft long mound of debris left in my driveway. I understand accidents happen; I am sure it was not done intentionally, yet Caleb's callous approach to resolution was uncalled for, unacceptable, and horrible business practices . I normally don't write things like this out of sensitivity to the potential impact to someone's livelihood. However, this was intentionally dismissive and on the verge of bullying. I do not want what happened to me to happen to others.

Good businessman. The crew arrived exactly when expected on the agreed day. They were marvelously efficient and practiced good safety. The boss did a lot of air work in the "cherry picker" and the resulting cut logs were let down carefully.
