This place is located on the 2nd floor of Shannon's On Pine Irish Pub & Sports Bar. The first thing that stood out (after having been to Sevilla Nightclub just a mere hour before visiting this place) was how lax security was. And by lax, I mean they don't pat you or check you for guns at all. Cover IS free so that's definitely a plus. The whole place smells of marijuana smoke and the floor was kind of sticky. They do give out free water, which is nice but they don't have disposable cups, rather they have regular plastic clubs that I'm assuming are washed regularly? The music was ok. Not my thing but I can definitely groove to some Hip-Hop/R&B every now and then. The patrons were friendly and it was easy to make conversation and connect with others. Some of the people were already high as a kite there, though, lol. Again, I can't comment on the drinks or their prices, since all I usually have is soda, or water if it's available. Overall, a bit of an improvement over Sevilla in some respects, and not as good as Sevilla in others. Final Score: 3/5, just like Sevilla Nightclub down the street.

A small dive bars right on the corner of Broadway and of course Falcon. There used to be an Italian restaurant next door but it's closed now. It's in a residential neighborhood so be courteous when you're outside. We thought it would have been quite busy as it a drinking holiday but when we walked in, there were maybe 8 people or so. The place isn't big. Bar counter on one side and a couple of hi tops table along the other wall. Doubt there's room for dancing when it's packed but I'm sure they'll make it work. The bartender working St Paddy's night was the sweetest. Very friendly which is always a major plus. We sat along the bar which was nice. Who ever was in charge of the music that night was great. A fun selection of upbeat music which the videos were also showing. You don't want to show up somewhere and the music sucks. Overall, it a fun little neighborhood dive bar. It seemed more like it was utilized with regulars as everyone seemed to know each other. I'm sure it picked up later on from when we arrived. But a fun little place for a drink. Normally on a Wednesday night or a Sunday as it was karaoke. The fun nights were had way back when. It's still the same fun old place but with a little revamp from the early 2000 when it was a frequent place with the college kids for drinks and karaoke. The crowd from the coffee shop down the street would end their nights here with cocktails and singing. A fun neighborhood dive bar. There's still security at the front checking ID's. Seems like regardless whatever your age is, they ask. Inside you have the retro fun vibe. Of course everyone is there for the same reason, a fun night. Bar is right when you walk in. Normally there's two bartenders on the busy nights but often you just see one. Inside has a good amount of seating but outside patio seating seemed to be alway lively. There's loads of seating out there. The fun twinkling lights and nice lush plants gives it a cool tropical feel hidden in Long Beach. I did notice a lot of people bringing food in especially pizza which was from across the street. Didn't know you could Uber Eats things here but clearly you can. Dinks is always good from my experience. Reasonable price which brings the crowd in. The only thing that sucks, the restroom situation. There's two on either side which does get pretty busy with a line as it's one per person and it's alway dirty. Don't know if anyone goes in there to clean during the nightly hours. Overall, the crowd is alway fun and lively. The last two times I've been I did noticed that it's still the college crew crowd as when I used to come in the early 2000. She would gladly print out how much each dish costs once we make our selections. Plenty of tunes, pool/billiards and great drinks inside. The service is spot on. Easy local street parking and local to other North Long Beach gay bars like Falcon North and Flux. We had a round of drinks with cigars on the patio and met up with some local friends. It was a pretty mellow night. Everyone was friendly. Definitely more of a locals spot, but all are welcome. Easy Juke Box. Free Wi-Fi. Cash bar. ATM available. Gender neutral restrooms as well as ADA compliant. Rustic around the edges, but more modern in select places both inside and out. The Crest does have some themed nights and drag shows on occasion. I hadn't been inside in a good eight years or so, definitely hope to stop in again and support them.
