What is most frustrating is that this policy was never disclosed before treatment. Had I been informed in advance that I would be expected to pay out of pocket despite having insurance, I would have declined the services and sought care elsewhere. Patients deserve complete transparency regarding financial policies before any work is performed. Springing unexpected payment demands on patients after treatment is unacceptable and undermines trust in the provider. Being upfront about costs is a basic expectation of any professional medical practice. The lack of transparency left me feeling misled and frustrated. Regardless of the quality of the medical care, billing practices like this are enough to make me never return or recommend this office to anyone. Patients should know exactly what their financial responsibility will be before consenting to treatment--not after the fact.

She thought the crown would last 2 years but it's still fine 30 years later!. Now I live in DC but drive to Gaithersburg to see Dr. Limparis. No one would be allowed to touch my teeth but her. As other reviewers have said, she cares. You can tell by how she works. She does almost everything herself, but when she uses an assistant, she is completely aware of what the assistant is doing and rigorous in making sure it's correct. Her office is small, but she has the latest equipment and is constantly updating her skills. She's always on time and I never feel rushed. She takes great notes for patient care but she also seems to remember little details about each person...I think it is because she genuinely cares! :) I know she donates her time to give dental care to the homeless and even though she loves to buy shoes as much as I do, I also know she recently donated over 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love. For many years she not only filled cavities (no silver fillings in her office!) but she also did all the cleanings herself. Only recently has she brought in a dental hygienist to assist her with cleanings but she still came in afterwards to take a personal look at my teeth. She has late hours on Thursday evenings and takes a vacation in the summer...so don't chew on ice while she is gone!

He is upset and said " here is not right place for you" twice. 2. My dental insurance cover the regular cleaning twice a year without any charge. But Dr. Hagigi charge me and my wife almost every time. He said this is preventive cleaning, so he needs to charge us. My wife insist to do the regular cleaning with no charge. She dismissed it, and told me I needed Invisalign to resolve my problem. Against I explained the history of the problem and that a previous dentist had addressed the issue effectively. She became noticeably irritated and argumentative, and raised her voice. I literally stopped talking. At one point she reached for my mouth and touched my lip with an ungloved hand. I asked her to not touch my mouth with ungloved hands. I did not engage with her any further as she cleaned my teeth. She proceeded to clean my teeth, and continued to talk about the issue I'd presented initially (in a slightly more calm manner). At one point she pulled down her mask to show me her Invisalign. I asked her to pull her mask back up as I was unmasked (basic COVID precaution). Once she was done cleaning my teeth I asked her if I could give her some feedback. She agreed. I said, "I trust your intent, but you have to think about impact as well when you interact with patients. When you're trying to communicate with and educate a patient, getting irritated and argumentative isn't going to make your patient hear you. I can't hear you when you're raising your voice, getting noticeably irritated, and arguing with me. She apologized. Also, you shouldn't touch a patient's mouth with ungloved hands." She turned away from me, clenched her jaw, and didn't say a word, again visibly upset. I communicated the same concerns to Dr. Wang at the front desk. Her first response was to say she hadn't seen her do that. Her second response was to ask what I do. I replied, I'm a nurse. Her response was, "Oh, so you're in the field." Why do you have to qualify my feedback with what I do for a living? A provider should care about my feedback because what happened is unacceptable and I'm your patient, not because I'm in the medical field. At no point did she say she'd speak with the employee and address the behavior. I'm incredibly disappointed in any medical establishment that doesn't hold employees accountable for their negative behavior, despite it's impact on patients. No one should be able to behave this way with impunity. I won't be returning. UPDATE: The info the dentist provided on the cost of fillings (said my insurance wouldn't cover them so is I'd have to pay 1000s), was not accurate. I just saw another dentist who assessed me and determined I needed far less dental work. Also, they informed me dental work would be covered at 80%, meaning I'd only have to pay a few $$$ out-of-pocket. Accurate info will save you 1000s, apparently. In response to my review, the front desk emailed me telling me they're sorry I'm frustrated. Really, that's what you got from my feedback? What I would've liked to hear is how she will address her employee's behavior. Anything else is just lip service.
