It's built into two phases with the first being a couple weeks long of learning material and some light hands on training before you can start working with clients. They teach facials, waxing, and anything to beautify the skin (dermaplaning/extractions/chemical peels/eyelash extensions/body wraps/etc.) You are given a full dermologica kit of goodies and pro products for your use only because on campus they have an entire dermologica back bar of which you get your product from for use with any clients you might get. Class is 3x weekly with 2 being in person and the 3rd being remote and those days will focus of theory and coursework. Overall my experience was excellent, they don't "punish" you for being absent and you have more time than your actual grad date to finish if you need to miss class for whatever reason. They also have a great leave of absence policy that made me feel a lot more ready to start the program while also working full time with two young children. I loved loved loved the teachers. Adored them. Ms Julie, ms kelle and ms Kristen are fountains of knowledge and I think the networking from them and fellow classmates already with experience in the industry is an invaluable resource. I'm really glad I chose Milan and I feel very prepared to take my licensing exam and am very excited to start working

So disappointed and really sad that the school did not care about my feelings when I asked for help. 10/10 DON'T RECOMMEND

Tina constantly pressured me to join her "internship," even after I made it clear multiple times that I wasn't interested. I had already heard it was a scam, so my answer was no from the start. Despite that, she kept calling and blowing up my phone even outside of class. She was scaring me. After I refused several times, her attitude toward me completely changed. She became rude and aggressive. I honestly wish I had recorded it. She also tried to talk badly about another student to "bond" with me, which was unprofessional and uncomfortable. I didn't engage. SHE DID NOT LIKE THAT I DID NOT ENGAGe. At the end, she told me to come pick up my certificate, mind you I lived hours away, I drove all the way there, only to find out she didn't even have it. Total waste of time. She said she would mail it she never did. Tina is extremely unprofessional and disorganized. She was often late, canceled classes frequently, and provided little to no real value. I paid $3,000 for this course and learned nothing. It didn't lead to a job or any real opportunity. She rushed me into paying quickly through Apple Pay, claiming it was a "deal" and that the price would go up to $5,000 if I didn't act fast. That pressure alone should've been a red flag. This entire experience was a waste of time and money.

The concept he explained to me is the following. Think of it as a gym membership but for art. You pay a monthly fee, come up with what you want to learn and bring your materials. There are great teachers to guide you and certify you at just about anything. They have a glass blowing, clay, woodwork and even a 3D printer. It was impressive that everyone we met there somehow chips in to help with the training of your art production of choice and once you are certified, you are able to use the machines with minimal supervision. Instructors should be reminded headlights are to be on when it's foggy so that other drivers on the road can see them. Otherwise you can cause accidents. Headlights are not only to provide visibility for the driver itself but other drivers on the road. Joanne called back that evening and I was told the cost would be $410. We set up my son's 1st lesson for that coming Saturday. I received a text message the day before confirming date and time. I responded confirming the price of $410 as well and she said yes. When she showed up we were waiting on my son and I handed her a check for the full amount even though only partial was required. In conversation she asked about a car in our driveway. She said she would like to buy one for her granddaughter. I mentioned my daughter did lessons through All American and even though my son is 18 and doesn't technically need to take the lessons we wanted him to get the experience of driving with someone who isn't his parents. She then said, "Oh he's 18?!" I replied, yes. She then went on to say, well that's different and it costs $200 more if he is 18. I told her I said in my message he was 18. She said she didn't listen to the message, she just calls back missed calls. I was dumbfounded and felt obligated to continue as she was already at my house. His lessons were done no different than other student drivers, he was picked up and dropped off at high school the same as other students. I was charged $610 simply because my son had just turned 18. Nearly a 50% increase. Many other places are half that price. I had asked Joanne to reconsider the additional charge, as schools did not offer Drivers Ed classes due to covid when he could have started the process. Along with him being older in his grade played a part in lessons being prolonged, but no response. My son even asked her to reconsider the additional charge and she told him she doesn't give discounts. I think she saw nice cars in a driveway and was looking for a chance to price gouge. I should have gone elsewhere. Had she been up front from the beginning when I received her call back, I would not have gone with this company. This company has different owners since my daughter took lessons and it shows. Beware!
