After losing My Father in the Fall of 2022, nothing was planned in advance. It was not something we thought about doing or even really knew was a thing. Then cancer hit and progressed rapidly. After his death, we couldn't afford a burial. After that experience, I did not want to put My Family through the same situation if something was to happen to Myself or My Partner. Keith and Keith was recommended to Me and I couldn't imagine working with anyone other than Robin through the process. She explained everything in detail and was very patient, comforting, and understanding. You can tell she truly cares about the people she works with, and enjoys the service she can provide others in a subject that most do not want to talk about. It has taken me a long time to process everything that happened and find the words to share my experience. I paid $4,500 in full for my brother Christopher's custom headstone, trusting that it would be completed and installed as promised. I chose Tim because of his reputation, the beautiful memorials he showcased and the confidence he inspired. Never did I imagine this would be the outcome. Unfortunately, after I paid in full, my brother's headstone was never delivered. Communication became increasingly difficult and eventually stopped altogether. Despite my repeated attempts to get updates or answers, I was left with no resolution. This wasn't just another purchase. This was the memorial for my brother. We spent countless hours carefully designing a monument that reflected who he was and what he loved. Instead of being able to honor him, we were left with uncertainty, disappointment and heartbreak. Beyond the financial loss, this experience has left me feeling like I let my family down. I know that isn't what I intended, but carrying the responsibility of trying to create something so meaningful, only to have it never materialize, has been incredibly painful. I am sharing my experience because I don't want another family, already grieving the loss of a loved one, to endure the same stress and heartache that mine has. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through what we did.

I was to have a head stone revealing last year but no headstone and was going to have a head stone revealing May 30th, 2026. I cannot as they did not deliver and just took my money. I believe there are other customers in Yakima who have not have their purchases delivered. it's hurtful to me...they are nice in the beginning but don't deliver. There are several stores, one in Pasco and they closed the Yakima Tim Headstones.

When I told the girl I was trying to get ahold of her for a while, she was a bit rude and said she never received my message. (I was following up on a pendant). They messed up on few things on for my husband's cards/booklets (missing pallbearer names, and have wrong viewing date) and replaced them after the service, so there is really no use for it. We ordered a Pendant for our daughter, which takes 2-4 weeks. It has been about 10 weeks since it was ordered. At first I was told it was received while ago, but turns out it was not for us, it was for another family. Then they told me that I need to wait another 3 weeks. Because something was, "missing" and they needed to reorder it. It is already hard losing a love one, and to get the run-around does not make the situation any better.

I had to call and request my son's fingerprints three times before they miraculously "just showed up" the day I called on 6/5. I was informed today by MY own phone call - that my "son has been cremated but are waiting for his urn". His urn was ordered on 5/20. I was again told that "I just spoke with them and his urn should be in today". Shaw & Sons has my son now cremated and I'm unsure of what items they included when cremating him OR when I will receive my son's ashes. How is this caring for someone in their worst days?? Today we picked up his ashes only to discover- 1) They forgot to cremate him in his boots, which were sent with his body when he was picked up. 2) They couldn't cremate him wearing his belt buckle, but instead of giving it back to us they tossed it in his box of ashes so now it's buried/in ash. I'm a little appalled at this lack of attention to details. This is our loved one, and we didn't ask for much. Out of the three things we provided for cremation only one item was cremated. I'm disappointed and I can't say I'd recommend Shaw and Sons after this experience.
