I am the writer of that horribly written negative review. That was written when I was much younger, and I have a much different and a better view of this whole situation now so I will write a better review. I went to that school from preschool (they called it k-4 when I was in it) all the way up until 8th grade. There were many different principals while I was there but my experience with one of them, Mrs. Cordova, was the most memorable and was my main reason for such a hateful review. She would often take advantage of the fact that I was not only stupid as a preteen, but that I was always the one being walked all over. She had been my 2nd grade teacher, and not long after became the principal. She tried to get me to be a mediator for a group of girls in my class that caused the most issues and were the main bullies in the school at the time. She also never suggested solutions or helped in any way when it came to academic problems. At the time, the math teacher was one of her close friends and she would, in fact, "play the devils advocate" whenever anyone said any sort of issue they had with the math teacher, including with her own son. Different children have different needs and some are more sensitive than others. It was not helpful or kind of her to always try and pin the blame on me for not understanding what the teacher was teaching. They would suggest tutoring but a middle schooler and a high schooler being put together for tutoring doesn't work well OFTEN. High schoolers can and DO get distracted easily, especially in an environment where they are not allowed to get distracted or talk much with their friends until lunchtime which was when tutoring was. This school was not helpful unless you were one of the really academically strong kids, and that was my issue. It also was not a very okay environment to be gay in, especially when it was covid and it felt like the world was ending. It was not a good experience for me overall, but I would like to apologize about the hateful and disrespectful review. It doesn't reflect the person that I am now. Please just be mindful of your children and remember, every sin is seen the same in God's eyes and we don't chastise or intimidate our children and relatives for eating bacon like we have gay people for being gay. OK first off not condoning people being gay doesn't mean you're homophobic doesn't mean I'm afraid of gay people the last thing on the planet I'm afraid of is gay people. Doesn't mean I hate them or anything like that. I wish them the best I really do just like anybody else who sins we're all born into it. The two really hateful reviews are from people who don't know Jesus and sent their kids to the school simply so that they could use their children as a crutch to write bad reviews, and the only review they have written is about the school they opened up an account just to write a bad review That being said, my son has straight, A's knows more about the Bible than I do knows a lot about math a lot about history a lot about science is great in PE and that's not mentioning how big he is. He's the biggest kid there by far in his grade there are a few things just like any other school that worry me a little Bit And it doesn't mean the schools bad it just means some of the teachers need to get their act together. I really hope some of them don't play favorites but I'm sure that many of the people that write these horrible reviews about this wonderful school have that favorite game they play to I'm sure they played every day at work. They play it on the road they played at home. They play it with their friends. This place is a wonderful school to send your child a little expensive but it's far less expensive than the other schools that are charging 12 and $13,000 For your child ago I paid $6800 a year and yes it's a little bit harder because I had to take a massive pay cut to move from Seattle to New Mexico but my son is happy very happy. I hope that people make it an assessment for themselves, rather than listening to the horrible reviews that were written from normal people that don't get employed by the school there's literally only four reviews. Including this one don't work here I'm a plumber. Everybody knows me is the big red bearded man. I'm more friendly than I ever have been because my family is happy. My sons education is paramount. This is an accredited school. He's gonna go far despite what some of the haters say. Have a nice day everybody great place to send your child. And trump is great. SHOUT OUT To #s 12, 21, 30 - Their Parents and Calvary's Coach!!! I am writing because the young people on CCA's Elementary Basketball team are Top Notch Athletes, Kind Team Members and GREAT Examples of Followers of Jesus! Our youngest child, is female, in 3rd grade, and was on the OPPOSING Co-Ed Team today. Almost 1/2 CCA's team (all male, I think) was twice our size, and my daughter is tallest/biggest in her grade. Calvary Christian Academy's Team played well, skillfully, hard and yet . . . had-to-have-been-making a concerted effort to be kind and kept the safety of the opposing team members in mind. This behavior needs to be recognized in light of much of the bullying, and 'winning at all cost' going on in society as a whole & public schools in general. This school has every reason to be proud of their students and the education being given ~ as these young men are great ambassadors on the court. Totally worth their parents' Investment!!! read more

Great school. The children learn alot and are ahead of the children in public school. Great staff.

This school isn't all that and a bag of potato chips like the other reviews are stating... honestly this school sucks. Oh yeah my bad we can't say the word "suck" at that school..... majority of the good reviews are from the teachers and staff. A lot of the students really hate it there and it shows sometimes. This school also always talks about how the education there is teaching (for example) 6th graders things you'd teacher 7th graders in a public school. Maybe when it comes to some public schools that's true but majority of public schools are harder than that school. Please don't put your sons, daughters, or children in this school. It puts a lot of weight on their shoulders after a while and it really can hurt your kids after a while. Not to mention two high schoolers had COVID and the school kept it a secret from most of the school... they didn't even close the school down. This school was hell to be at and most of the people there are immature and can't take a joke. Overall it sucked and some people got in trouble for stupid things. Oh yeah, if you're not on the principals good side or she just finds you annoying or doesn't like you, your opinion doesn't matter to her, she has favorites trust me. And don't even try to say anything about the math teacher to her, she's not gonna listen because they (the math teacher and the principal) are best friends, so naturally the principal is always gonna be "the devil's advocate" and defend the math teacher no matter what. I also feel so bad for all the lgbtq+ kids there. Almost no one else knows except for them and some other people they trust. And its especially hard for them because a few of the other kids are *****openly***** homophobic and no one else says anything mainly because of fear and because some of them just don't care. The school is a Christian school and is supposed to teach kids to love everyone no matter their ethnicity, sexuality, beliefs, anything different about them, but teaches that homosexuals go to hell. No other sinner goes to hell though.... of course according to the bible though. Please just take your kids out of this school or just don't put them in it to begin with. It's just a lot for your children to handle and its very draining and damaging. read more
