He would repeatedly tell me to call back, dodge my calls, tell me he's going to call back in an hour (he did not), and when I called back to follow up (expecting him to be professional and call when he SAYS he's going to call), he basically bit my head off and used the flaky excuse that "I get busy". (It had been 9 hours since he said he'd call back in an hour.) I have yet to have any of the 5 remaining lessons I am owed, and honestly, I don't intend to. He has been nothing but rude, unprofessional, and flaky since our first 2 lessons. I don't know what happened to make him flip so suddenly, but I am extremely displeased and offended by his conduct. I would not recommend him to anyone looking to get their license in the next year, as your schedule clearly does not matter to him.

I assure you, This isn't due to being a bitter parent who's son hasn't gotten his way. As a matter of fact I'm very proud of my 4.0 student! My issue has to do with quite a few teachers, and their overwhelming lack of love for their jobs. Now I do understand (and sympathize) teachers tend to be overworked and underpaid, but having said that we have all known this for many years and this was their career path of choice. I'm hearing more and more (not only from my child, but other frustrated parents!), that teachers are heard telling students they are stupid and will never amount to anything. The students are teaching themselves in MANY classes! They're told to take notes from the book. Notes on what you ask? They aren't sure. While students do this (and god forbid ask for help. Ohhh no no!), teachers can be found surfing the web, on social media, or on YouTube claiming to be looking for a video for the next Days class. I am willing to bet my arm, that if we were allowed to look at a teachers daily computer/phone use we would be quite blown away! I'm only saying this after a couple YEARS of watching and listening. And don't get me started on the varsity football program. I hold a lot of respect for teachers and Coaches, but when you have adults sucking the love out of the game, you have an issue. When you have an entire group of boys (who Played football since they were 7 years old) wanting to quit right before their senior year? It's time To look at your head coach! Cleveland was the golden egg, just a few years ago, in my eyes. Now my eyes are open and frankly I'm pretty disgusted at the behavior of not just ONE teacher, but many. Someone needs to monitor what's going on, before more kids drop Out or quit sports programs because the people we entrust with our babies are Acting as bullies.

The format encourages creativity, independent thinking and problem solving skills, artistic ability, confidence and fun. It is a loving, supportive community of parents, teachers and administrators and the kids thrive there. The students are encouraged to self-motivate, manage their own workload and be self-sufficient, all of which are the skills we all need to be truly successful in life. The school focuses on community service, equality, tolerance, peace, and a global perspective. The teachers teach and talk "up" to the kids (not down). Beyond incredible academics, the kids do the most amazing things, from learning musical instruments and music, to writing their own plays and creating the sets and costumes, to learning about the local eco-system, to learning organic gardening, to learning to give back to the community through multiple events throughout the year (we sponsor families in need during the holidays, recently volunteered as families at a local food bank, and do a food drive in the fall). The kids come away from Cottonwood not only light years ahead of their peers in all academic disciplines, but they also come away with an open-minded, global perspective, the ability to empathize, to control their own actions and reactions to the world, and to be clear and confident about who they are no matter what is going on in the world around them. The buildings are a bit less than stellar (nothing like a fancy school with a big endowment), but I like it that way because the focus in on the quality of the education and of the community, not on status or prestige. That said, the school has a very high percentage of kids that get into the top middle and high schools in the area. If the buildings were fancy, I think it would attract a very different kind of parent. That is why I'm almost afraid to share all of this because it is such a special place - I don't want the secret to get out! :-) We are so lucky that we found this very special school.

In May 2026, approximately one year after my son completed the classroom portion of the driver's…read moreeducation program, I received an email notifying us that he needed to complete his required seven hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. Since receiving that notification, I have made numerous attempts to schedule his driving lessons by calling the school's office. Unfortunately, my calls have consistently gone unanswered despite trying multiple phone numbers. After being unable to reach anyone by phone, we were forced to visit the office in person simply to schedule his lessons. At that time, we were informed that students are only permitted to complete one hour of driving instruction per week, meaning it would take an additional seven weeks to fulfill the required driving hours. I later contacted several other driving schools, all of which informed me that this is not standard practice and that they are typically able to complete the required driving instruction much more quickly. My son's first driving lesson was finally scheduled for July 21, 2027. However, on the morning of the appointment, the driving school called to cancel. When we attempted to call back to reschedule, once again no one answered the phone. We have continued trying to reach someone using several different phone numbers without success. At this point, I have also requested my son's records so that we can transfer to another driving school, but I have been unable to speak with anyone regarding that request because the school remains unreachable. This pattern of poor communication, repeated scheduling difficulties, and lack of responsiveness is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. Families should not have to make repeated phone calls, appear in person simply to schedule required instruction, or face unreasonable delays in completing a driver's education program. The cancellation of my son's lesson without any accessible means of rescheduling has only compounded the issue.

My daughter was told after the class time that her parents needed to teach her to drive and their 7 hours was just extra driving time on top of the 50 we needed to do with. Whenever we would go to book time to get her in for instructor driving, no times were available. Finally we ended up just taking her to the mvd to do her driving test there. Only to find out she needed some paper from premier. She had passed the test at the mvd already. No one answered the phone so I ended up driving to the Montaño location only to find out premier wanted to do their own driving test. That was a Wednesday. The gal told me she would call me back that day. No call. I tried calling. Again no answer. I ended up driving back on Thursday morning only to find the only time she could do the test was Sunday. We came back on Sunday and the instructor just filled out the paper work and gave it to us. But apparently that couldn't have been done on Wednesday??? Now I'm at the mvd Monday afternoon and premier hasn't even been bothered to put the info into the system so she can get her license. The lack of communication is ridiculous. I definitely do NOT recommend premier and will not be taking any of my other kids there for driving "school".
