I opted for being overwhelmed and tried very intensely to ignore being disrespected and what appeared to be a perpetual grin on one of the technicians faces, particularly when I requested that I not be addressed by a certain name and having made that request I was still addressed that way. I have never been to a medical facility anywhere in the United States that addresses patients by their first name. After finishing I gave one of the technicians $60 to share with the others for lunch or whatever, as a token of understanding. I had to return for bloodwork requested by my doctor for upcoming surgery. Same very poor attitude, disregard for patients in the waiting room, same disrespect and same grin. This time the technician brutalized my vein drawing blood. Two weeks later I am still bruised. I have written several reviews and comments directly to LabCorp regarding my experience and not surprisingly, I have received no response. This leads me to believe that it is a part of the culture and LabCorp doesn't care how their employees represent them or how they perform their jobs.

But that clinic has stopped taking scripts from outside doctors, which of course means all specialists. So I was forced to use labcorp this time. Why does the medical system make everything hard for the patients? Government is the answer, but I digress. It was easy to make an online appointment with this Lab. Walked in 20 minutes early, used the easy to operate check in kiosk, was called to the front desk on time. Marjorie handled all my paperwork and even explained something I didn't know about my insurance card. I was taken to a private room by the friendly tech who quickly and painlessly drew my blood. Doesn't get any easier. They are even closer to my home than the base, so I'll probably use them whenever I need lab work.

Out of all the LabCorps in the area, many either require an appointment or they aren't open as late…read moreas this location is. It's nearly impossible to find a location that you can get a same day appointment. And this place allows for walk-ins. Also, it's one of the very few LabCorps that are also open until 5pm. I came in at 4:35pm as a walk-in for routine lab work, I scanned my drivers license, waited for less than 5 mins, and was out of there in 10 mins. I prefer this LabCorp over any other.

Well let me tell you......today was a wonderful experience with Victoria at the edgewater location. She is A++++......phenomenal and incredible personality! LabCorp better treat her really well and appreciate what an incredible employee they have because I know 100s of hospitals who would LOVE to have her! Victoria was first class at finding veins and did I mention has a wonderful and professional attitude. I never thought I would be rating a place to get bloodwork and urine analysis but, this place seems…read moreawesome to me. It is located in the back area of the Safeway store and is private and comfortable. I personally have never had to wait. I will say their automated check in is a little cumbersome but not bad. The excellent rating is because the woman doing my bloodwork was professional and fast. Also, it did not hurt - not at all! And their method for a urine sample is excellent. You have a container in the toilet to pee into and you pour it into the little cup. No holding that cup and trying to pee into it. I hope their analysis is as excellent as their sample taking is.
