I recently took up succulents keeping as a hobby even though my thumbs are far from green. My first baby succulents were adopted from Walmart and Lowe's so this was the first time venturing out to a plant nursery. As always, I conferred with Yelp and decided on Calvert's. The first thing I noticed was how charming it looked from the road. We turned into the nursery and down a path full of gorgeous ceramic plant pots of all sizes and colours. Parking was ample and convenient. As we entered the green house we were greeted by a friendly "hello". My eyes lit up at all the pretty decorations, plants, and flowers as I scanned for succulents. All their plants look well cared for. Green and luscious. Healthy. There were many succulent varieties and I felt like a kid in a candy shop. As I'm fairly new to the hobby (been at it for just a month) I wanted baby succulents as I love to feel accomplished tending to them and seeing them grow. They had many 4-inch pot plants but very few 2-inchers. Still, I managed to find a baby bear's paw and cobweb plant I wanted. We went up to pay and the staff/cashiers were happy and friendly. Such a nice atmosphere! It must be so calming and pleasant to be among plants and flowers everyday for them I'm definitely coming back to check out their succulents again. read more

I heard a radio advertisement for Calvert's (paired with one for Cohlmia's in Tulsa). Since I was familiar with Cohlmia's (and love that spot), I decided to pull in. The setting is quite serene and you'd never know you were off busy streets, but I found it a bit confusing. I'm never sure if I found all the green houses. There's a very impressive collection of pots and a good selection of succulents. I felt like staff was too busy getting trucks ready for their corporate clients. I will revisit though. read more

My friend and I happened upon this place for the first time to check it out. It definately lacks curbside appeal. It would be impossible to find without their colorful billboard-style signs. It looks like a rundown house when you first pull up. I might have left if I were by myself. However, once you get into the greenhouse it is a plant paradise. They have multiple greenhouses with numerous beautiful plants. They have large variations of popular houseplants, along with a wide range of succulents. My friend and I both got some new succulents for $3 each. All their plants look pretty healthy. It is a super fun and beautiful place to check out. They have multiple waterfalls and other attractions within their plants. We brought a 2yr old and a 3yr old with us and they were thoroughly entertained. The staff were also super friendly. They told us to come back in the spring for a bunch of new inventory. We will definately be back again and I advise any avid plant lover to try it out! read more

I have been following them on social media for months and been dying to go in. I was NOT disappointed today. The greenhouses were so much bigger than I thought. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! I asked a few questions and they also were knowledgeable. Next time I wouldn't take my kids just because I was worried that they would hurt something but the workers were kind to them. Beautiful healthy plants, they have a wide variety and their plants are mostly healthy! The staff is always caring for the plants when I am there and have extensive knowledge about plants. I have not had any problems from the plants I have gotten from there and I've had some for a few months. I recently picked up a beautiful variegated schefflera! read more

I came looking for vegetable plants and they don't have any. Which is what they sell. But in the flipside they have lovely plants and nice employees. read more

They provide an arrangement each week for the building I work in and they are always so pretty and unique. I met with them to get a quote for flowers for my wedding (bouquets, centerpieces, alter arrangements ect.) and they said they would email the quote to me in a couple of days. It is now 9 days later... Update: They finally sent me an estimate for my wedding flowers and quoted 4x what I told them my budget was. read more

They've got nice quality everything and the people who work there are very friendly and knowledgeable. About a month or so ago I gave them my name to call if they ever got a particular succulent in stock and sure enough they called today when they got some in. As I was visiting OKC while my sister was in OU Medical having surgery I saw this place and decided to see what they had on offer. Horrible experience, was told to leave because I didn't have a mask. I wouldn't have been insulted had I not seen 3 employees running around serving other customers not wearing a mask. They looked and spoke to me as if I didn't have enough pocket change or plant knowledge to be allowed in their presence. I responded no I haven't a mask as I turned I said I'll see you later, correction I'll never see you ever again. Obnoxious is what this place is. Go to Lemons Corner Nursery in Hugo, Oklahoma. Wonderful assortment of plants and planters. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. I'm not sure what more you could want. I recently purchased a fiddle leaf fig tree from Calverts, picked out a planter and had it delivered and installed. The entire process was met with friendly service from start to finish. They even offer to come take a look at the plant if it starts to falter. As long as I live in Oklahoma City I will come to Calverts to appoint my home with greenery. Though you won't find plant bargains here, I typically find one gets what he/she pays for when it comes to plants anyhow. read more

They will help me to find matching pot and put moss to decorate the pot, show me the matching fertilizers.
