Tom has been doing the painting for my employer, the History Club of Los Gatos, for several years now. He has done jobs both big and small, most recently the front and back of our club house building, carefully matching new paint to the old! He has done work inside our clubhouse on the walls, in our foyer, and a back gazebo. He even replaced a piece of bad wood in the gazebo - that was definitely above and beyond! I LOVE my new kitchen cabinets! I just recently bought my first place and was looking to give my kitchen a face lift. I thought that refinishing my existing cabinets would be a good/affordable way to brighten up the original 80's dark wood that came with it, but I had no idea it could look this good! We recently fully redesigned our garage. We started with having the drywall evened out, repaired, and textured. Then Tom Calyer came in to paint. If I had met him before I hired the drywall person, Tom would have done the drywall work as well. So we only hired Tom for the paint, and we are so happy we did! From the first meeting to look at the project to the end discussion of the leftover paint and inspecting the job, Tom is a professional with excellent communication skills. I knew from the first conversation he is interested in every detail, making sure the job is completed to our satisfaction! We discussed the various surfaces in the garage, finishes (satin, etc.), levels of paint quality, and how he would protect the heater and furnace located in the garage. When he was done, he pointed out how the drywall person had been less than meticulous in spraying the texture, so Tom and his assistant painter had cleaned it up. Over and above the job! And the cost was amazing! The entire garage paint job with Tom cost just a teeny bit more than I paid 15 years ago for a less than perfect one room paint job from someone else. SO awesome! Tom painted the interior of my new home this past summer. He worked hard for 5 days, putting on two coats of paint. I took a while to decide on the colors, but he was patient through the whole process. The walls look great! All the lines between the ceiling and the wall are very even and meticulously done. I can't say enough nice things about Tom Calyer and Calyer Painting Company. He was very considerate, and addressed all of our concerns promptly and very courteously. We have several areas of the roof that are fragile, and he took great care to avoid damaging these areas. He also made many helpful suggestions on how to work with trim for an aesthetically pleasing outcome. We used this company in March. It was our first time hiring a painter as I am the one that always has done our painting. We had a ceiling that had been worked on that needed priming and painting in a large room and a small bathroom that had paint cracking and peeling. Tom was excellent. He's detail oriented, thorough and very professional. He patched, sanded, primed and painted the bathroom. The family room ceiling looks great too. I would have made a mess doing that myself. My husband and I bought our first place six months ago. We decided that after many years of white walls in rentals that it was time to add some color to our lives. We used Yelp to find several painting companies. We chose Tom because he provided one of the better estimates (both in price and professionalism - one guy sent a two line email as an estimate and he was the most expensive!). Once we chose Tom, he was extremely helpful in choosing the colors - I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, but Tom provided some great input. He even came to our place several times and painted samples on the wall as well as providing larger paper samples. Tom was wonderful in working with our schedules, coming over after 5 to paint the samples and help with the color choices. Once we finally pinned down which colors we wanted (all 5 of them), Tom and Aaron painted our entire 2 bed 2 bath place in 3 days (a day less than he had estimated!!!). The place now looks fantastic! We couldn't be happier with the place. Tom was so enthusiastic, helpful, and professional that I would not hesitate to use his services again.
