There was a bar decorated with Margaritaville geer which reminded me of many places in Florida. An old friend of mine, Tom, was throwing/DJ'ing the party. He had not only great 90's music, but also had a screen showing the videos which was a nice touch! There was a balcony upstairs which could be used for smoking. Or otherwise just a nice place to hang out and people watch. The ladies room was clean and spacious with a sitting area when you first walk in. The bartenders and other staff I met were friendly. I learned that women can now be members of the Elks. This was a pleasant surprise! I may look into joining my local Elks when I return home.

When I walked in for the first time the lady at the desk was rude and acted like I was putting her out by asking questions. I soon found out that she was the owner. First X in my book. Not a way to run a business, a small business at that. If you don't want to deal with customers don't have a job where you have to interact with people. The price was more expensive compared to other fitness facilities I have frequented. $40 for 1 person and that doesn't include class fees. Oh, and a sign up fee. NO THANKS! I took a tour and there were guys yelling & grunting while they were throwing down weights while they were cussing left and right. I don't speak like that and I don't want to hear talk like that. I asked about towels and was told they don't provide them. I don't know any gym that doesn't provide towels. Let me correct that last statement. I now know one gym that is so cheap and doesn't provide towels. So, as a summary for 4U Fitness I wouldn't waste your time. I know that there are a few other gyms in town that offer just as much at a much lower monthly rate where the staff isn't rude.

Tennis court, splash pad, great walking path. Up keep on the park is phenomenal. It's was a beautiful day with the Kentucky Hills in the distance and the rock formations to our north! I try to walk around the park which is about a mile and a quarter daily and is currently spring time all is green in the park. Rox, my wife passed away in January and every time I look at our window at the park she is in my mind and heart. If you're ever in Ashland, you must walk around the park and feed the squirrels.
