I come down from Ventura to see "Shady", and his name couldn't be more ironic, because there's nothing shady about him or his work. He's been maintaining my 2005 Lexus SC430 and has saved me a boatload of money on repairs and maintenance over the years. He's respectful, friendly, and clearly takes pride in getting things right. My most recent service made the car run like it did when it was new. The engine is humming smoothly again, something I've honestly NEVER experienced after a repair or routine maintenance anywhere else and I've owned this car since 2007. And while the name S & M Automotive might make some people do a double take (hahaha), the only thing painful here is realizing how unnecessary other repair bills can be once you find a mechanic this good and dependable. I then received a call at 2:40pm to let me know the work was complete and I could pick up my Pilot. My friend dropped me off for pick up of my SUV. I paid and was on my way the SAME DAY. Juan taped the AutoZone receipt to the battery so I could use the warranty. 18 months later the battery dies so I call to use the warranty and the lady who answers the phone screams at me that they won't authorize and hung up on me 5 times. They told me to bring the car in. I said I live 300 miles away. They mockingly said I should buy a new battery, drive my car 300 miles, and they will give me the replacement. NEWS FLASH IDIOTS: that's breach of contract and saying that gave me standing the sue the **** out of you. Yes the staff there are actually this f***ing dumb and they think they're smart LOLLLLLLLLLL. So I sent a demand letter telling them I'm about to sue the **** out of them. Juan calls me 3 days later and apologizes, says she doesn't know how to run an office, and authorizes the battery replacement. Everything was fine, but 3 and a half weeks later this dumb lady answers the demand letter with "Good luck with that". Just look at the screenshot. She didn't even know the issue was settled and she has zero emotional regulation or thinking ability.
