I brought my 2025 Ford Mach-E in for a slow tire leak, expecting a routine fix. Surprisingly, three employees looked at the car and none of them could figure out how to lift it. They mentioned they had never worked on this type of vehicle before and didn't want to risk damaging it. This was especially frustrating because the Mach-E has been out since 2019 and shares a similar lift setup with the Tesla Model Y--which I've actually brought to this same shop before with no issues. When I called the Ford dealership, they literally laughed at the fact that a chain tire shop couldn't figure it out. They ended up recommending I go to America's Tire instead. I'm giving 2 stars only because they did take care of my Tesla previously. But this experience was a real inconvenience, especially since I had scheduled time to come in. Thankfully, it was just a slow leak and I could still drive home safely. Honestly, if they weren't sure how to lift the car, they could've called the dealership or even looked it up on YouTube--like I did afterward. It was toward the end of the day and one of the employees looked like he was getting ready to leave, so I'm not sure if that played a part in the lack of service. Left the gas cap off/ loose, when they completed my daughter's oil change. The oil leaked every where and ultimately my daughter's car stopped working. She was stranded in a canyon with no reception to call of help. We had to get the car towed home, over two hundred miles. When we took it to the repair shop, the shop stated that the oil from the loose cap had ruined the alternator. We called Mountain View and informed to them. I spoke directly with the manager on numerous occasions. From the first conversation he "seemed" easy to work with and said he would submit a claim to corporate for a refund for the cost of the damages. I followed up a month after our first conversation. He said it was approved, told me the damages would be refunded to and that it would take corporate about 14 days to refund the damages. Well, 9 months later and all documentation, I can tell you this manager is a complete liar!!! Do not believe a word they say! Not only crappy work, they take no responsibility for anything that happens due to the poor workmanship, and to add insult to injury, they lie about paying for any damages they have caused. Good thing I have everything documented, so I can move forward with next steps. read more

I have visited Mountain View twice and both times I received friendly and professional customer service. I was driving and my tire blew, they happened to be close by, that's how I found them. I needed a new tire but they didn't have the make that I needed in stock - but that was no problem as they were able to get it in for me within a couple of hours, which I really appreciated. The second time I ran over a nail and messed up my tire again. There are two different tire places even closer to me but I went back to Mountain View specifically because of the amazing customer service. They really are top notch! read more

My tire was not a candidate for repair due to the screw being in the same quadrant as as a previous repair patch. They even showed me for proof. I was offered to replace the tire with a new one, same brand. It was ordered and available next day with life time warranty. I can only speak for oil changes at Mountain View. I feel they do an excellent job for a fairly reasonable price. I've been getting my oil changed here since 2016. The people here are not pressuring and don't try to charge me or suggest a repair I don't need. They do get pretty busy, so I'd recommend making an appointment. Also, if you feel like waiting around for your car, you have a Starbucks and a few fast food places within walking distance to kill some time. Last thing, I'd advise you to check for coupons and specials as they have these quite frequently. read more

So, I ordered a set of tires and booked an application online. I showed up for my appointment and they didn't have my tires. A call would have been nice. The guy says he'll order the tires and they will be at the store the next day. So I make an appointment for the day after that. I showed up and they have my tires but they don't show me as having an appointment. So it takes all day to get the tires and there isn't time for the alignment. So I made an appointment for a few days later. I showed up for the appointment and I'm told the alignment rack isn't working. Again, a phone call would have been nice to save me the hassle. I'm told I could go to the Oxnard store, but I'm only a couple of blocks from this location. I'm not going to Oxnard without an appointment and waiting who knows how long before they even look at it. Girl says she will call me as soon as they part comes in to fix the rack. A few days go by and no phone call. So I call to see if it's fixed and of course it is but I didn't get a call. So I make an appointment for Friday at 2 pm. Should be plenty of time. Nope. They didn't even touch it. They tell me I can get it and bring it back in the morning or just leave it. Didn't NEED the car that night so I decjde to leave it. I'm told someone will get to it first thing in the morning. That was 9 hours ago and nobody has touched my car yet. read more

So I'm not one to get anyone fired or slender anyone. Mind you, I've used this company numerous times, on all of my cars. I actually gave Corey and Mtn View an awesome review last time! Well warning all!!! New manager was cool and helpful but last time I drop my car off for oils change inSept! I had an odd occurrence. One of the older technicians was outside in parking lot yelling and cussing to himself and threatening to himself. "If they want to F w me!" "Well they are going to see F'd with means!" So I informed Mike Mgr. I told, "yeah one of your guys is having a bad day out there?!?" He told, me he always talks to himself, but is one of our best technicians especially w electrical. Oh okay!!! Needless to say, it was a little alarming but I waited for my ride on the sidewalk near the road and could still hear him shouting! But I left my car because we were leaving to LV and I needed oil change done. Well later that day get a call from Mike. That I need water pump and belt change, so like I said, we're going to LV and didn't want any problems on the long drive. So $1000 later! Then half on my way to Vegas engine light went on!!!SMH. Luckily, made it back home. Took it in and they couldn't find anything wrong. Now few month later, got my car in mechanic we trust. Light still on and the car sometimes would act up when turning on. Like it didn't want to turn over. Well.... Guess my oil was NEVER changed! Because I had changed Late September and it shouldn't look dark and old. And God only knows what else might of not been done. Or not done to it! I didn't have problems w it before and it ran good. Just makes me angry that I went in for routine service , left paying for more genuinely thinking I was in good hands. And it makes me feel taken advantage of! Well just be careful, ask for the parts being replaced and look at reviews for warnings. I left feeling uneasy, bc the guy might of been having a bad MH day, but more praying he didn't take it out on my car! My car is still in the mechanic shop and I had to get another oil change! Ed was super friendly and professional over the phone. They are quick, efficient and affordable. I had a nail in my tire that they patched in an hour and a half. Only down side is that they are super busy and cannot skip you up the line, so prepare to be waiting at least an hour for any service. There is a McDonalds across the street and a more interesting shopping center strip mall area down the street. It's about a 7 minute walk and has a couple of bakeries and some shops. This is how I spent my hour. Highly recommend for devices, but I would just plan to drop your car and Uber to the Camarillo outlets to entertain yourself until you car is ready:) read more

First of all, I don't think I've ever seen a shop so immaculate! Great location with freeway access. I was immediately greeted by the gentleman at the counter. I think that was Tony? Extremely pleasant and courteous. He told to me to bring my car right over to the bay where the technician was waiting. Also a very pleasant young man. They got my tires where they needed to be (35psi) and sent me on my way....no charge. I guess the point is, even though I wasn't a paying customer...their service was a 10! My car only has 15K miles on it but you can bet when I need tires, brakes, etc.....I will definitely go back to Mountain View Tire! read more

I used to like coming here. The location was convientent for me. My tire kept losing air, my pressure light would come on, I would fill it up, and the light would turn off. I kept experiencing the issue again a few weeks later. I explained this when I brought it in. They discovered corrosion on the wheel and cleaned it off. Then they told me the tire pressure sensor was previously damaged and the light won't go off. I told them it wasn't like that before, the sensor would go off when the tire was filled. They got defensive and said they didn't damage it. I didn't say they did, although the sensor was working fine this morning. They snapped at me, "well the light was on when you brought it in so i dont understand what youre saying," they clearly did understand, and was using the phrase to win the disagreement. I wasn't trying to argue, so I told him I wasn't trying to be rude. They eventually offered me a "customer satisfaction discount," but I ended up declining...it felt bad being accused and I didn't want to be there anymore. I'll just take it somewhere else next week. I was not lying, I do understand they must get alot of customers who do lie, but I didn't come there to argue. I came there for help and ended up with a broken tire pressure sensor. read more

A bunch of Crooks and thieves. I had avoided Mountain View Tire for a long time, dating way back to my last vehicle, which they ruined. Nevertheless, I had a nail in my tire and they are close by, so an $18 tire patch seemed a reasonable price to pay. Mountain View Tire was right back to thier old tricks. A tire store couldn't patch a tire with a nail that was practically in the center of the tire tread. Nay, they wouldn't. Instead they tried to up sell me a new set of tires. So my price point went from $18 to $400. The reason given was "tread separation". And due to "tread separation", the tire would be unable to reinflate. I was shown a smudge of rubber that was supposedly a sign of this issue. I Googled it. The symptoms and causes of tread separation were not present in my vehicle. I was not slipping and sliding on the road when I drove nor was the mileage on the tires well past thier warranty. I refused to replace my decent tires when all I wanted was a patch. Additional costs were also suggested, as my factory standard Toyota tires were apparently "rare". So that was going to increase the per tire price. I took my vehicle to Costco, who promptly repaired the nail, with a patch for $14. Miraculously, the folks at Costco were able to reinflate the tire after the patch too. Do not give your money to these con artists read more

The dreaded check engine light was on on the Toyota. Indicated the battery charge was low. This was odd since we replaced the battery two months ago. Upon further diagnosis I checked the charging for the alternator and discovered it was failing. I wasn't into changing an alternator so we took it down to Mountain View tire & Auto repair on Saturday afternoon at 1 PM. Thinking they wouldn't be able to get to it until Monday. We were prepared to leave it. Also, I didn't think Parts would be available right away. Amazingly, Antonio called and said it was done and ready to go at 5:30 PM.
